UGC: 12th Pass Students Can Pursue Graduation in Any Subject, With One Condition


<p><strong>UGC New Guideline:</strong> The University Grants Commission(UGC), is continuously making new rules and new drafts for UG/PG courses. A few days ago, UGC introduced a facility for students to complete UG/PG courses within a certain time period or more. Now, UGC has made a big change. UGC has decided to remove the restriction of subjects for graduation. According to this, 12th pass students can now pursue a graduation degree in any subject.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">UGC: This Condition Must be Fulfilled</h2>



<p>UGC has introduced this facility considering the interest of students. But to take admission in this way, a condition has been laid down. According to this condition, if a student wants to pursue graduation in a subject they didn&#8217;t study in 12th, then they will have to pass the national-level or university-level entrance exam of that subject. After passing the exam, they can take admission.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">UGC Guideline: Many More Decisions Taken</h2>



<p>According to reports, the number of subjects in CUET UG programs has also been reduced. In the 2024 CUET exam, there were 63 subjects, which have now been reduced to 33. Along with this, the hybrid mode has also been abolished. <p><strong>Mehul Choksi: </strong>The special PMLA court in Mumbai has granted permission to sell Mehul Choksi&#8217;s property worth more than 2,565 crore rupees in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam case. The money obtained from the sale of the property will be returned to the people affected by the scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had been trying to do so for a long time. During the investigation of money laundering, the ED had seized Choksi&#8217;s properties.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Big Action in Mehul Choksi-PNB Scam</h2>



<p>The court has taken this decision on the petition of the affected banks (PNB, ICICI) and the ED. The court has said that the amount received from the sale of the properties will be deposited in the form of an FD in PNB and ICICI banks. Choksi had taken a large loan from ICICI, which was not repaid. Many properties of Choksi&#8217;s company Gitanjali Jewels Limited have been sold and 125 crore rupees have been returned to the people. These properties included flats in Mumbai, two factories, and a warehouse. Choksi and his nephew Nirav Modi are the main accused in the 2018 PNB scam. According to the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, any person who has been issued a warrant by a court in India and has fled the country or refuses to return to face trial can be declared a fugitive economic offender.</p>



<p>Choksi and his nephew Nirav Modi have been declared wanted by the ED and CBI for cheating PNB of 13,400 crore rupees along with some bank employees. Efforts are being made to extradite both of them. Nirav Modi has already been declared a fugitive economic offender. He has been in a London jail since 2019. Mehul Choksi is living in Antigua-Barbuda, a country with which India does not have an extradition treaty.</p>

<p><strong>Rising Rajasthan Summit: </strong>The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit is witnessing big announcements every day. On Tuesday, at the JECC, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that soon, a flash-charging electric bus will run between Delhi and Jaipur. There will be an overhead flash charger at the bus stop, and the bus will be charged in just half a minute. <p>Nitin Gadkari said that Prime Minister Narendra <strong>Modi</strong>&#8216;s goal is to make India the world&#8217;s third-largest economy. On this occasion, Nitin Gadkari has given the gift of Ring Road, Highway, and Elevated Road. Under this, a 6500-crore rupee project to build a Northern Ring Road in Jaipur, a 6800-crore rupee project to build a Kotputli-Agra Greenfield highway, and a 12,000-crore rupee project to build a Jaipur-Kishangarh-Jodhpur-Amritsar Greenfield highway will be undertaken.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Elevated Road to be Built at 538 Crore Rupees</h2>



<p>Nitin Gadkari further said that an elevated road will be built from Raipur to Jassakheda in Pali at 538 crore rupees, a 1400 crore rupee project to build a road from Nagaur to Netra, a 500 crore rupee project to build a bypass in Sikar-Laxmangarh-Fatehpur, a 1400 crore rupee project to build a road from Jhunjhunu-Chidawa-Singhana-Pacheri, and a 600 crore rupee project to build a road from Singhana-Khetri-Jasrapur-Nagalisedi-Bhatiwaad.</p>

Rajasthan Government Gives Permission for REET 2025 Exam: Exam Date and Key Highlights Announced


<p>A big update related to REET 2025 has come out. RBSE had prepared the notification for the REET exam and sent it to the Rajasthan government, which has been approved. Now, it is expected that the notification will be released soon. The exam date will be announced in the notification. Lakhs of candidates were waiting for the approval of this notification. It is being told that the exam date will be announced at any time. After that, candidates can apply. After applying, the determination of exam centres will be done within 30-40 days.</p>



<p>It is being told that the exam will be of 150 marks and the candidates will get 2.5 hours to complete it. Additional 10 minutes will be given to fill in the fifth option in the OMR sheet. The curriculum includes two languages, child development, teaching methods, mathematics, science, and social studies. The state government has been written to for changes and approval in the curriculum.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, it is mandatory to fill in the fifth option in the OMR sheet during the exam. If a candidate does not fill the fifth option, they will be declared ineligible. This system has been implemented to prevent cheating in the exam.</p>



<p>This year, a large number of candidates are expected to participate in the REET exam. According to the board&#8217;s estimate, lakhs of candidates will apply for the exam. Earlier, the validity of the REET certificate was only three years, but now it is valid for a lifetime. Therefore, new candidates as well as those who were ineligible in 2022 will also apply for the exam. CCTV cameras will be installed at the exam centres to prevent any kind of cheating. Strict arrangements will be made for checking at the exam centres, and the process of opening the paper envelope, taking out the paper, and sealing it after the exam will be videographed. In addition, control rooms will be established at the district level and at the REET board office to oversee the exam.</p>


<p>Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test 2025: The curriculum includes two languages, child development, teaching methods, mathematics, science, and social studies. The state government has been requested to approve changes to the curriculum.</p>

School Timings Changed: Extreme Cold in MP, Orders Issued


<p>Madhya Pradesh is experiencing extreme cold. The temperature has dropped below 5 degrees Celsius in half a dozen cities of the state. There is a cold wave alert in many districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave for three consecutive days in three districts of the state. Schoolchildren are the most affected by the extreme cold. Despite the cold, they had to go to school early in the morning, due to which many children were falling ill. However, now relief is being provided to school children.</p>



<p>In the capital Bhopal, the school timings have been changed due to the extreme cold. Now, all schools in the district will open only after 9:00 am. The District Education Officer has issued orders in this regard.</p>



<p>According to the order of the District Education Officer of Bhopal, no school in the district will be allowed to open before 9:00 am. This order will come into effect from Thursday and will be applicable to all government and private schools in the district.</p>

Dausa Borewell Incident: 5-year-old Aryan stuck for 44 hours, Plan B begins


<p>Dausa News: Even after 44 hours, 5-year-old Aryan, who fell into a borewell in Kalikhera village of Dausa, has not been rescued. As a result, the anxiety of Aryan&#8217;s family members and administrative officials has increased. Aryan has been stuck in the borewell without food or water since Monday afternoon. The administration, including NDRF and SDRF teams, has been trying to rescue Aryan for the last 44 hours.</p>



<p>Since Aryan fell into the borewell, his mother, Guddi Devi, has been in a state of shock. None of the family members have eaten anything yet. Aryan fell into the 175-foot-deep open borewell near his house on Monday afternoon while playing with his mother. The administration started the rescue operation immediately, but even after 44 hours, there is no hope of rescuing Aryan.</p>



<p>The administration had dug a 20-foot-deep pit near the borewell to rescue Aryan, but it failed. Then, the NDRF and SDRF teams used a hook-like device to try to pull Aryan out, but it also failed. After this, the administration used a local makeshift arrangement, but it too failed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Plan B Begins</h2>



<p>Now, the administration has started Plan B. According to this plan, a pit will be dug near the borewell using a piling machine, and a tunnel will be made to reach Aryan. This tunnel will be used to rescue Aryan. The NDRF team has started digging the pit, and the rescue operation is expected to be completed in 7-8 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">20 Feet of Excavation in One Hour</h2>



<p>According to the NDRF team, about 20 feet of excavation is being done in one hour. It is expected that the rescue operation will be completed in 7-8 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Water Level in Borewell Increases</h2>



<p>The water level in the borewell where Aryan is stuck has increased. The rescue team is trying to prevent the water from rising further.</p>



<p>Cabinet Minister Kirodi Lal Meena reached the village on Monday night and stayed with the villagers throughout the night. Meena has assured the family and villagers that the government is ready to do whatever it takes to rescue Aryan.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Large Number of Resources Deployed</h2>



<p>District Collector Devendra Kumar has been monitoring the rescue operation since last night. He said that a large number of resources have been deployed to rescue Aryan. Dozens of tractors have been used to remove the soil. The NDRF team has also set up equipment to directly pull Aryan out of the borewell.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Umbrella-like Device Used to Support</h2>



<p>The NDRF team used an umbrella-like device to support Aryan from below. This device has prevented Aryan from falling further into the water.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mother Was Near When Aryan Fell</h2>



<p>According to the information, on Monday afternoon, Jagdish Meena&#8217;s wife Guddi Devi was working in the field. Aryan was playing near her when he fell into the open borewell in front of his mother. Guddi Devi raised an alarm, and the family members and villagers gathered at the spot. The police and administration were informed, and the rescue operation was started.</p>

Alzarri Joseph Loses Temper: Offensive Language with Fourth Umpire, ICC Imposes Fine


<p>West Indies bowler Alzarri Joseph has been fined 25% of his match fee for using abusive language against a match official during the first ODI against Bangladesh. The home team won the match by five wickets.</p>



<p>Joseph was found guilty of violating Article 2.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to the use of audible obscenity. Additionally, a demerit point has been added to his disciplinary record, which is his first offence in 24 months, the ICC said in a statement on Tuesday.</p>



<p>The incident occurred on Sunday before the match started, when Joseph used abusive and insulting language against the fourth umpire during an argument, while the umpire had denied Joseph permission to enter the field wearing spikes.</p>



<p>Joseph accepted the offence and accepted the proposed sanction by match referee Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel, so there was no need for a formal hearing. The on-field umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Leslie Reifer, third umpire Aasif Yaqoob, and fourth umpire Gregory Brathwaite levelled the charges. The minimum penalty for a Level 1 breach is an official reprimand, and the maximum penalty is 50% of the player&#8217;s match fee and one or two demerit points.</p>



<p>Joseph took 2 wickets for 67 runs and Romario Shepherd took 3 wickets for 51 runs, as West Indies restricted Bangladesh to 294/6. Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz (74), Tanjid Hasan (60), Mahmudullah (not out 50), and Zakir Ali (48) took Bangladesh to 294/6. Sherfane Rutherford&#8217;s 113 runs off 80 balls and captain Shai Hope&#8217;s 86 runs helped West Indies score 295/5 and win the match with 14 balls to spare.</p>

<p><strong>Success Story of Tribal Student:</strong> Every year, lakhs of youth appear for the NEET UG exam. But only a few get success. While on the one hand, study materials, top-level coaching, and books are required for NEET UG, on the other hand, a tribal student has passed the exam despite the lack of these things. We are talking about 19-year-old Sanatana Pradhan, a tribal student from Odisha&#8217;s Kandhamal district.</p>



<p>Sanatana Pradhan is from a remote village called Tadimaha in Odisha. The youth in this village lack resources and have limited career opportunities. There is no internet facility in the village. But Sanatana was determined to create his path. His father, Kaneshwar Pradhan, is a small and poor farmer, and they could not afford coaching fees for their son.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lack of Internet Facility in the Village</h2>



<p>Sanatana studied up to 10th standard in a government school in his village. After that, he went to Khallikot Junior College in Berhampur for his 12th-standard education. After completing his 12th standard, he returned to his village to prepare for NEET UG. He started self-study using borrowed books. The problem of books was solved, but the problem of internet connectivity remained. Sanatana would climb 3 km every day to a nearby hill to get internet connectivity, where he would study online and download study materials for a few hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Studying in This College</h2>



<p>The challenges were many, but the student never gave up. Through hard work and determination, he passed the NEET exam on his first attempt. By clearing the NEET entrance exam, he proved that with true effort and strong resolve, any obstacle can be overcome. Sanatan is currently studying at MKCG Medical College. After obtaining his degree, he hopes to treat people living in remote areas.</p>
