
<p><strong>Bihar Board 10th Exam 2025:</strong> The Bihar Board matriculation examination commenced on 17 February. The exam will be held in two shifts, with approximately 1.5 million students expected to participate. Over 1600 exam centres have been established across the state, with 73 centres in Patna alone.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Board Completes Preparations</h2>



<p>The board has completed preparations at over 1600 exam centres. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is fully prepared for the class 10 board examination. CCTV cameras have been installed at every centre, and police personnel will also be deployed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Arrival Time at Centre</h2>



<p>Students appearing for the Bihar Board class 10 examination must arrive at the centre one hour prior to the commencement of the exam. The exam centre gates will close half an hour before the exam begins. No student will be allowed entry after this time. The morning shift exam begins at 9:30 am; therefore, entry will be denied after 9:00 am. Similarly, for the afternoon shift, which starts at 2:00 pm, the gates will close at 1:30 pm.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dress Code for the Examination</h2>



<p>The Bihar Board has issued a dress code for the examination. The board has also stated that candidates should not wear shoes and socks but should wear slippers to the examination hall. The Bihar Board initially banned shoes and socks at the start of the examination. However, permission was later granted for the initial few exams considering the weather. Now, with the cold weather almost over, the Bihar Board has once again banned shoes and socks.</p>

Delhi CM: Rekha Gupta to Take Oath at 12 Noon at Ramlila Maidan, Ceremony Themed on Ram Temple


<p><strong>Delhi CM:</strong> The name of the Delhi Chief Minister has been announced. Rekha Gupta will be sworn in as Delhi&#8217;s Chief Minister today. Rekha Gupta was elected as an MLA for the first time from the Shalimar Bagh seat in Delhi. Pravesh Verma, MLA from New Delhi, will be the Deputy Chief Minister. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Swearing-in Ceremony at noon in Ramlila Maidan</h2>



<p>Eleven days after the assembly election results, the BJP has announced the name of its Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 12 noon at Ramlila Maidan. After securing a clear majority on 44 out of 70 seats in the assembly elections, the BJP has returned to power in Delhi after 27 years; the results were declared on 8 February. Rekha Gupta was elected as an MLA for the first time from the Shalimar Bagh seat in Delhi. She defeated Bandana Kumari of the Aam Aadmi Party (&#8216;AAP&#8217;) by a margin of 29,595 votes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Swearing-in Ceremony Themed Around Ram Mandir</h2>



<p>The swearing-in ceremony is likely to be themed around the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. More than 25,000 to 30,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony, including prominent Hindu saints and members of local communities. Besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, popular BJP MPs and top NDA leaders are also expected to attend the ceremony tomorrow.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ceremony Timetable</h2>



<p>According to the swearing-in ceremony timetable, guests will arrive and take their seats between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The designated Chief Minister and designated ministers will arrive at 12:10 PM. The LG will arrive at the swearing-in ceremony at 12:15 PM. The Union Home Minister and other leaders will arrive at 12:20 PM. Prime Minister Modi will arrive at 12:25 PM. At 12:30 PM, the national anthem will be played by a band. At 12:35 PM, the LG will administer the oath of office to the Chief Minister.</p>

<p>MP NEWS: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to the Collector and SP of Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, asking them to appear in Delhi. The notice directs both officers to appear at the NHRC office in Delhi at 2 PM on February 28th to submit their response and report. The entire matter is related to the alleged torture of a 5-year-old child at a kids&#8217; school in Rewa city.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Case</h2>



<p>BJP leader Gaurav Tiwari filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission regarding the physical and mental harassment of a 5-year-old nursery student at Jyoti Kids Garden School in the Bodabag locality of the city. He stated that the child had soiled himself in class, after which the teacher and the attendant scolded him and dragged him to the bathroom. There, they forced him to clean his pants and left him standing for hours in the cold wearing wet clothes and shoes. The entire incident was recorded in the school&#8217;s CCTV footage, but the school management deleted it.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Appear in Delhi office on February 28th</h2>



<p>The National Human Rights Commission had previously sought a response from the Collector and SP through a notice. After failing to receive a response by February 17th, despite being given two extensions, the Commission took cognizance and issued summons against the Collector and SP, ordering them to appear before the Commission in New Delhi on February 28th. They are also required to explain the action taken against the school management and why the response was not submitted to the Commission within the stipulated time.</p>

Jaipur news: Metro to run on second major route, here's the new plan; elevated roads planned


<p>Jaipur: Jaipur Metro will be expanded to the city&#8217;s growing outer areas. Work on the Metro Phase-2 route from Sitapura Industrial Area to Vidhyadhar Nagar (Todi Mod) will commence. The project, with central government assistance, will cost approximately ₹12,000 crore. </p>



<p>Work will begin on this approximately 30-kilometre-long route. Once completed, this will be Jaipur&#8217;s second major metro route, benefiting over 2 million people. The state budget has brought several significant benefits to the capital city, Jaipur.</p>



<p>The budget announced a new metro route. According to Jaipur Metro&#8217;s plans, this route will start from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) in Pratap Nagar, and pass through Jagatpura, Tonk Road, Bitu Bypass, Mansarovar, and finally reach Vaishali Nagar. This will provide relief to a large population in the city&#8217;s outer areas and ease traffic congestion. The Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridors on Sikar Road and Ajmer Road will be removed. The government considers them ineffective and obstructive to traffic flow.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Elevated Roads to Ease Travel</h2>



<p>A 2.40 km elevated road will be constructed from Apex Circle to Jagatpura ROB at a cost of ₹130 crore. ₹65 crore will be spent on the elevated road from Jhotwara ROB to Khatipura ROB, ₹80 crore on the OTS intersection, ₹185 crore on the Riddhi-Sidhi intersection, and ₹3.5 crore will be spent on preparing the DPR for elevated roads from Narayan Circle to Purana Ramgarh Mod, Khaniya to Bagrana Agra Road, and Aranya Bhavan to Transport Nagar.</p>

<p>Madhya Pradesh is set to receive another Vande Bharat Express train. The railway authorities have finalised the route and schedule for the new train, which will connect the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. </p>



<p>The new Vande Bharat Express will originate from Jabalpur in MP and terminate at Chandrapur Fort station in Maharashtra. Initially, the proposal was to run it from Jabalpur to Raipur, but the railway administration decided to change the route. </p>



<p>The Indian railways has announced the new route and prepared a new schedule. The new Vande Bharat train will commence operations once it receives approval from the Railway Board. This will give Jabalpur two Vande Bharat Express trains.</p>



<p>Following strong passenger demand, the hopes for a new train from Jabalpur have finally been realised. This Vande Bharat Express will run from Jabalpur to Chandrapur Fort station, located in Chandrapur district. </p>



<p>This new train will thus connect MP with Maharashtra. This decision by the railways will greatly benefit rail passengers in the Mahakaushal region, including the cultural capital (Sanskaradhani).</p>



<p>Chandrapur Fort station is approximately 476 km from Jabalpur. The new Vande Bharat Express will cover this distance in 8.35 hours. </p>



<p>The railway had previously announced a Vande Bharat Express between Jabalpur and Gondia, with a route via Raipur. This route has now been changed. The Vande Bharat Express will now run from Jabalpur via Gondia to Chandrapur Fort station.</p>



<p>The West Central Railway Division has created a new schedule for the Jabalpur-Chandrapur Fort Vande Bharat along with the new route. According to this, the new train will depart from Jabalpur at 6:30 AM and reach Chandrapur Fort station via Nainpur, Balaghat, and Gondia. The return journey will commence at 3:45 PM from Chandrapur Fort station and arrive late at night in Jabalpur.</p>



<p>According to West Central Railway officials, the proposed timetable for the new Vande Bharat Express has been sent to the Railway Board. The train will be launched after receiving the green signal from the board.</p>



<p><strong>New Route and Schedule</strong><br>The Jabalpur-Chandrapur Fort Vande Bharat will depart from Jabalpur at 6:30 AM. This train will depart Madan Mahal at 6:40 AM, Nainpur at 7:10 AM, Balaghat at 8:28 AM, Gondia at 9:30 AM, Nagbhir at 11:53 AM, and arrive at Chandrapur Fort station at 1:45 PM.</p>



<p>The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Chandrapur Fort station at 3:45 PM, Nagbhir station at 6:18 PM, Gondia station at 5:50 PM, Balaghat at 6:35 PM, Nainpur at 8:15 PM, and arrive at Jabalpur station at 12:20 AM.</p>

<p><strong>Jobs In India:</strong> The problem of unemployment in India is growing. Educated young people are unable to find work due to a lack of skills. The gap between university degrees and skills is constantly widening. Industries are rapidly moving towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation. This is causing difficulties for new graduates in finding suitable employment. Companies are now looking for graduates who can adapt quickly to the new era.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Only 42.6 per cent of youth are employable</h2>



<p>A new report by Mercer-Mettl, India’s Graduate Skill Index 2025, reveals that only 42.6 per cent of Indian graduates are employable, meaning 57.4 per cent are unable to find work. This figure is for 2024. The situation has worsened in a year, as 44.3 per cent of graduates were considered employable in 2023. However, it is satisfying that the gender gap in this matter (men 43.4 per cent and women 41.7 per cent) is not significant. The report found that the biggest challenge facing young people is the growing gap between the needs of employers and the skills possessed by graduates.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Growing demand for AI, data science and soft skills</h2>



<p>There is a high demand for AI and data science in the job market. This is followed by non-technical skills, or soft skills, where key competencies such as communication (55.1 per cent), critical thinking (54.6 per cent), and leadership (54.2 per cent) are now essential for workplace success. The demand for creativity is not high. The employability score in this area is only 44.3 per cent. Creative talents are facing more difficulty in finding jobs.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tier-1 colleges are ahead, but…</h2>



<p>The report stated that graduates from first-class colleges have the highest employment prospects at 48.4 per cent. This is followed by Tier-2 (46.1 per cent) institutions in second place and Tier-3 (43.4 per cent) institutions in third place.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Delhi-Himachal-Punjab ahead</h2>



<p>Among the states, Delhi (53.4 per cent), Himachal Pradesh (51.1 per cent), and Punjab (51.1 per cent) produce the most employable graduates. Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, and Telangana are also in the top 10.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">AI and data science jobs increased</h2>



<p>The report stated that 46 per cent of Indian graduates are now employable in AI and ML roles, which is better than in 2023. The demand for AI, data analytics, and digital skills is increasing. Gender equality has been observed in these roles.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Musk&#8217;s Tesla starts hiring in India</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, Tesla Inc., owned by prominent American industrialist Elon Musk, has advertised for jobs in India. Musk met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the US. Since then, speculation has been rife about Tesla cars entering the Indian market. Tesla&#8217;s advertisement has fuelled these speculations.</p>



<p>According to the advertisement, Tesla is looking for candidates for 13 positions. At least five of these positions, including service technicians and advisors, are required in Mumbai and Delhi. Tesla and the Indian government have been in talks for several years, but the carmaker has kept its distance from the South Asian country due to concerns over high import duties. India has now reduced the basic customs duty on high-end cars priced above $40,000 from 110 per cent to 70 per cent.</p>

<p><strong>SBI PO Exam 2025:</strong> Big news for candidates applying for the SBI PO recruitment exam. The State Bank of India (SBI) has postponed the Probationary Officer recruitment exam 2025. The SBI PO preliminary exam will now be held on 8th, 16th, and 24th March 2025. The exam-related notification can be checked on the official SBI website.</p>

<p>According to the official notice, the exam was scheduled for 8th and 15th March. However, the schedule has been revised. As per the new dates, the exam will be held on 8th, 16th, and 24th March 2025.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SBI PO Exam Pattern</h2>



<p>The SBI PO preliminary exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.</p>



<p>Candidates will be given 60 minutes to answer 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There will be no penalty for unanswered questions (i.e., if no answer is marked by the candidate).</p>

<p><strong>Rising Cancer Cases in India:</strong> Excessive alcohol consumption is increasing the risk of cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) has described it as a toxic and addictive substance, categorised as a Group 1 carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). This is the same category that includes dangerous substances like tobacco and asbestos. </p>

<p>India is witnessing a rise in cancer cases, with increasing alcohol consumption emerging as a major contributing factor. According to a study published in The Lancet, in 2020, 62,100 new cancer cases in India were linked to alcohol. </p>

<p>Dr. Taraprasad Tripathi (Assistant Professor, AIIMS Bhubaneswar) states that alcohol weakens the body&#8217;s natural immune system, making it less effective in fighting cancer cells.</p>

MP government announces holidays: Check the dates


<p>Holidays Declared in MP: According to the directives of the Women and Child Development Ministry of the Madhya Pradesh government, it is mandatory to provide supplementary nutrition to Anganwadi beneficiaries for 300 days a year. Along with this, the Collector has declared local holidays for Anganwadis in the district under Women and Child Development for the year 2025.</p>



<p>Damoh Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar has declared local holidays on 26 February (Mahashivratri), 14 March (Holi), 19 March (Rang Panchami), 31 March (Eid-ul-Fitr), 12 May (Buddha Purnima), 7 June (Eid-ul-Zuha), 9 August (Raksha Bandhan), 16 August (Janmashtami), 30 September (Durga Ashtami), 20 October (Diwali), 10 October (Karva Chauth), 15 November (Birsa Munda Jayanti), and 25 December (Christmas Day).</p>

Madhya Pradesh to Build International Cricket Stadium


<p><strong>International Cricket Stadium in MP:</strong> Efforts are underway to build another new International Cricket Stadium in Indore, but the matter is entangled in land acquisition issues. </p>



<p>The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is requesting 20 acres of land reserved for sports in the Super Corridor, but the Indore Development Authority (IDA) has set a price of ₹200 crore, while the MPCA is only willing to pay ₹70 crore. </p>



<p>The IDA has made it clear that this is non-negotiable, as a tender for a higher amount was previously received.</p>



<p>The MPCA wants to build a large cricket stadium in Indore on the lines of the one in Ahmedabad. The existing Usha Raje Holkar Stadium is too small, resulting in fewer international matches. To address this, the MPCA requested 20 acres of land reserved for sports in the Super Corridor from the IDA. This proposal was also placed before a board meeting and considered.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, a new snag has emerged. The MPCA wants to pay ₹70 crore for the 20 acres, but the IDA is unwilling to accept this offer. The IDA values the land at over ₹200 crore. A tender was previously issued, which received only one bid from the companies of builders Pintū Chhābrā and Rājesh Mehtā. This bid was subsequently rejected.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Search for Private Land</strong></h2>



<p>The MPCA has begun exploring alternative options. It is looking for private land within 15 km of the city and connected to major roads to ensure easy access for people. The aim is to avoid any disputes regarding the construction and use of the stadium. The argument is that land from the IDA would be on a 30-year lease, whereas purchasing private land would provide permanent ownership.</p>



<p>The ‘match’ over the stadium (International Cricket Stadium) is stuck due to the price difference between the IDA and the MPCA. Only the government, acting as a ‘third umpire’, can resolve this, as it did in the cases of TCS and Infosys. Land in the Super Corridor was allocated to both companies through the IT department at a rate of ₹25 lakh per acre. The government could adopt a similar formula, allocating land to the MPCA under specific conditions and providing the IDA with alternative land in return.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Questions will arise if land is given at a lower price</strong></h2>



<p>The IDA issued a tender for land for sporting activities, setting a price of ₹200 crore. Now, the IDA faces a dilemma: how to allocate the land to the MPCA at a price ₹130 crore lower. Senior IDA officials are hesitant to take any risks, aware that doing so could lead to investigations by the Lokayukta (anti-corruption agency) and Economic Offences Bureau.</p>

<p><strong>Indore Metropolitan Region:</strong> Constant deliberation is underway regarding the Indore Metropolitan Region (IMR). Efforts are being made to strike a balance between connectivity, industry, and the environment. The new plan has been expanded to achieve this. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor has been incorporated to reach new industrial heights.</p>



<p>The planning for the IMR, encompassing Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, and Dhar, until 2051, was initially undertaken by Mehta &amp; Consultant Company under the Indore Development Authority. Data was being collected, but the plan is now undergoing revisions. Areas such as Sonkatch, Maksi, and Badnawar are being added. This expansion will increase the total area to 9361 sq km. The rationale behind this change is Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav&#8217;s directive that the IMR planning remain effective until 2051, ensuring no crucial aspect of the region&#8217;s development is overlooked. This has led to a renewed effort to create a comprehensive plan.</p>



<p>Focus on Industrial Development: The plan significantly emphasises the development of the industrial sector within the region, linking it to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The inclusion of Badnawar, due to the upcoming PM MITRA Park—a major textile hub—and Dhar&#8217;s Pithampur industrial area is noteworthy. Furthermore, the industrial areas of Dewas and Maksī are also included.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Connectivity with Bhopal Region</h2>



<p>Previously, the IMR was limited to Dewas, but it is now being extended to Sonkatch. This is because Bhopal&#8217;s metropolitan region extends to that area. Connecting the two metropolitan regions will facilitate better coordination. Along with industrial development, the plan also considers environmental factors. Extensive forest areas have been incorporated to maintain a healthy Air Quality Index. Small rivers and ponds have also been included to preserve the natural balance.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Focus on Industrial Development</h2>



<p>The plan significantly emphasises the development of the industrial sector within the region, linking it to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Indore, Ujjain, Maksī, and Nagda have significant railway junctions. Road connectivity is ensured through national highways including the Mumbai-Agra, Ahmedabad-Indore, and Nagpur routes, along with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.</p>


<p>The Indore Metropolitan Region plan is being revised to enhance connectivity, industry, and environmental balance. CM Mohan Yadav has directed the inclusion of four districts and improved links to Delhi and Mumbai.</p>
