<p>Approximately three and a half years ago, an obscene video of a Deputy SP and a female constable went viral in Rajasthan. Following the video&#8217;s release, a case was filed against Deputy SP Heeralal Saini and the female constable, resulting in their arrest. The then-Congress government dismissed both from their jobs.</p>



<p>However, a single bench of the High Court later ordered the reinstatement of Deputy SP Heeralal Saini (. A division bench has now stayed the single bench&#8217;s order.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Full Story…</h2>



<p>In July 2021, an obscene video of Rajasthan Police Deputy SP Heeralal Saini and a female constable went viral on social media. The video also showed the female constable&#8217;s 6-year-old child, depicting indecent acts against the child. Consequently, a case was registered against both under the POCSO Act, leading to their arrest. The government dismissed both from government service.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Government&#8217;s Right to Take Action</h2>



<p>The High Court&#8217;s division bench has stayed a single bench order reinstating Heeralal Saini, a dismissed Rajasthan Police Service officer, in connection with the obscenity case involving a female constable at a swimming pool. Justices Indrajit Singh and Manish Sharma , acting on the state government&#8217;s appeal, issued this order. Advocate General Rajendra Prasad stated that the single bench ordered Saini&#8217;s reinstatement with all benefits while allowing the government to investigate based on the charge sheet. Two contradictory orders cannot be issued simultaneously. The state government has the right to take action against the guilty based on the shameful act.</p>

Uttar Pradesh Boosts Contract Worker Stipends, Offers ₹5 Lakh Medical Coverage


<p>UP Budget 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced key highlights of the budget, including a significant development concerning outsourced employees. He declared that outsourced employees will receive a minimum monthly salary of ₹16,000 to ₹20,000. Furthermore, their recruitment will now be handled through corporations instead of directly through agencies.</p>

<p>In another major announcement, CM Yogi stated that contractual Home Guards, PRD personnel, village chowkidars, Shikshamitras, instructors, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, ANMs, and all personnel associated with contracts and sanitation will receive free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh under the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. A Chief Minister Jan Arogya Ayushman card will be issued to these employees.</p>

<p>Following the presentation of the budget by the Finance Minister, CM Yogi addressed the media, stating that the state government will establish service corporations for the recruitment of outsourced personnel. <p>Kash Patel, an Indian-American, has assumed the directorship of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States. He officially signed the commission during a ceremony at the Oval Office. </p>



<p>Kash Patel is considered a close associate of President Donald Trump. Dan Scavino, Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House and an aide to President Donald Trump, confirmed Patel&#8217;s appointment on Thursday. Sharing a post on the social media platform X, Scavino congratulated Kash Patel, the ninth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He also included a link to Patel&#8217;s new X account: @FBIDirectorKash. Furthermore, he extended his congratulations in a Bollywood-style manner.</p>

Patel said that his mission as director is clear: only good officers will remain in the police force.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is Kash Patel?</h2>



<p>Kash Patel hails from Gujarat, India. His father immigrated to the United States in the 1970s. He was born in Garden City, New York, in 1980. He studied law at University College London, Faculty of Laws. He is an American lawyer and national security expert who has played a significant role in American politics and security policy. Previously, he served as the Senior Director for Counterterrorism on the National Security Council.</p>



<p>He came into prominence during Donald Trump&#8217;s first term. Patel has worked in the National Security Council and the Department of Defence. He was also a senior member of the Republican staff on the House Intelligence Committee, where he played a key role in investigating alleged ties with Russia. He was also a co-author of the ‘Nunes Memo’, which questioned the role of the FBI and the Department of Justice (DoJ) in the Russia investigation.</p>

Maha Kumbh Mela-Bound Car Crash Kills Six, Decapitates Woman


<p><strong>Accident News:</strong> A horrific accident involving a car from Karnataka occurred on the Varanasi-Prayagraj highway, resulting in the death of six people, including a husband and wife. The occupants of the car were devotees travelling to the Maha Kumbh. Their vehicle collided with a stationary truck on the highway. The impact was so severe that the car was completely wrecked.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eleven People in the Car</h2>



<p>This accident occurred on Friday morning near Mirzamurad on GT Road. Approximately eleven people, all residents of Karnataka, were travelling in a Cruiser jeep bearing a Karnataka registration number. According to media reports, police stated that the jeep was travelling at a high speed. There are also suspicions that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the collision with the truck. The impact was so forceful that the front passenger side of the jeep was embedded in the truck.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">People Trapped in the Car</h2>



<p>Following the screams, locals and police attempted to rescue the devotees from the car but were unsuccessful. A crane was then used to separate the truck and the jeep. The Cruiser jeep was cut open to extract the injured passengers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Woman&#8217;s Head Severed</h2>



<p>In this accident, the head of the woman sitting next to the driver was severed and thrown onto the road. According to media reports, police speculate that the woman&#8217;s head may have been out of the window at the time of the accident, leading to its decapitation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Truck Driver Flees the Scene</h2>



<p>The truck driver was absent at the time of the accident. Media reports cite locals who stated that the truck driver had parked the vehicle on the road two hours prior to the incident. The driver informed a nearby shopkeeper that his truck had broken down before moving away to sleep. However, he fled the scene after the accident. The police are searching for him.</p>

Work on MP&#39;s 267-km new rail line underway, land taken from 40 villages


<p><strong>MP News:</strong> Construction of a third railway line between Itarsi and Amla has commenced, following the completion of the Bhopal-Itarsi section. The project involves laying a 130 km third rail line between Amla and Itarsi, with groundwork currently underway to prepare the soil base for track laying. </p>



<p>Delays in land acquisition in Narmadapuram and Betul districts caused a postponement in the commencement of construction on the Itarsi-Amla section.</p>



<p>The third railway line project required the acquisition of 16.036 hectares of land from 290 farmers across 40 villages in three tehsils of Betul district. </p>



<p>Completion of this third railway line is expected to significantly improve rail traffic. The current route includes a challenging Ghat section, which currently causes considerable traffic congestion.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four Tunnels Planned</h2>



<p>The third line will include four tunnels totaling 1.40 km in length within the Maramjhiri-Dharakhoh Ghat section. The project involves laying a 267 km third line between Itarsi and Nagpur, encompassing 27 stations and the construction of 361 bridges and culverts. </p>



<p>Underpasses have already been constructed at Peepaldhana and Maramjhiri on the Itarsi-Betul route as part of this project.</p>



<p>Two bypass tracks, one up and one down, have been completed between Pawarkheda and Jujharpur. The railway has invested approximately ₹600 crore in both projects. </p>



<p>To prevent soil erosion and collapse along the bypass track connecting Jujharpur via Khedra, a protective wall is being constructed using stones bound with iron wire. </p>



<p>It is noteworthy that heavy rainfall last year caused significant soil erosion and subsidence around both bypass tracks, creating large gaps and tilting some overhead electric line poles.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Need for a Third Line</h2>



<p>Currently, the Nagpur-Itarsi section has only two railway lines, accommodating both passenger and freight trains. To accommodate passenger trains, freight trains are often halted for extended periods. </p>



<p>The third line aims to alleviate this issue, ensuring timely movement of both passenger and freight trains without the need for frequent halts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Project Cost Exceeds ₹2000 Crore</h2>



<p>The construction of the third line between Bhopal and Itarsi is nearing completion. Work is now underway on the Itarsi-Nagpur section, with an estimated project cost of ₹2525.73 crore. The new line will run parallel to the existing railway lines.</p>


<p>Land acquisition has been carried out for the third rail line project affecting 290 farmers across 40 villages in 3 tehsils of Betul district. A total of 16.036 hectares of land has been acquired.</p>

<p>Over 30,000 acres of land near Bhopal have been identified for investors participating in the Global Investors Summit 2025 (GIS 2025). This surpasses the land available in Indore. The land is distributed as follows: 55,000 acres in Raisen, 1,700 hectares in Rajgarh, and 5,200 acres in Vidisha, all suitable for industrial development.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bhopal and Surrounding Areas</h2>



<p>In Narmadapuram, 1,700 acres of land are available in Muhasa Babai. Phase two of this project includes approximately 1,200 acres. An additional 2,000 acres are available, including 300 acres in Kiratpur.</p>

<p>In Bhopal, over 1,000 acres of land are available, including land from Smart City projects, BHEL, enemy property, and ceiling land. This includes 200 acres in the Bairasia industrial area, 200 acres adjacent to the airport road, 200 acres between Bhopal and Bairasia, and 100 acres in Pilukhedi.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sehore Also Ready to Welcome Investors</h2>



<p>Sehore offers approximately 1,200 hectares of land in areas such as Amipur, Sherpur, Silkheda, Lachhor, Bajnath, Konajhir, Gawakheda, and Guradia. This includes 300 acres in Badiatolli, 200 acres in Pachama, 300 acres in Shyampur, and 500 acres of sugar mill land, totalling approximately 5,000 acres.</p>

<p>Madhya Pradesh is set to receive another Vande Bharat Express train. The railway authorities have finalised the route and schedule for the new train, which will connect the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. </p>



<p>The new Vande Bharat Express will originate from Jabalpur in MP and terminate at Chandrapur Fort station in Maharashtra. Initially, the proposal was to run it from Jabalpur to Raipur, but the railway administration decided to change the route. </p>



<p>The Indian railways has announced the new route and prepared a new schedule. The new Vande Bharat train will commence operations once it receives approval from the Railway Board. This will give Jabalpur two Vande Bharat Express trains.</p>



<p>Following strong passenger demand, the hopes for a new train from Jabalpur have finally been realised. This Vande Bharat Express will run from Jabalpur to Chandrapur Fort station, located in Chandrapur district. </p>



<p>This new train will thus connect MP with Maharashtra. This decision by the railways will greatly benefit rail passengers in the Mahakaushal region, including the cultural capital (Sanskaradhani).</p>



<p>Chandrapur Fort station is approximately 476 km from Jabalpur. The new Vande Bharat Express will cover this distance in 8.35 hours. </p>



<p>The railway had previously announced a Vande Bharat Express between Jabalpur and Gondia, with a route via Raipur. This route has now been changed. The Vande Bharat Express will now run from Jabalpur via Gondia to Chandrapur Fort station.</p>



<p>The West Central Railway Division has created a new schedule for the Jabalpur-Chandrapur Fort Vande Bharat along with the new route. According to this, the new train will depart from Jabalpur at 6:30 AM and reach Chandrapur Fort station via Nainpur, Balaghat, and Gondia. The return journey will commence at 3:45 PM from Chandrapur Fort station and arrive late at night in Jabalpur.</p>



<p>According to West Central Railway officials, the proposed timetable for the new Vande Bharat Express has been sent to the Railway Board. The train will be launched after receiving the green signal from the board.</p>



<p><strong>New Route and Schedule</strong><br>The Jabalpur-Chandrapur Fort Vande Bharat will depart from Jabalpur at 6:30 AM. This train will depart Madan Mahal at 6:40 AM, Nainpur at 7:10 AM, Balaghat at 8:28 AM, Gondia at 9:30 AM, Nagbhir at 11:53 AM, and arrive at Chandrapur Fort station at 1:45 PM.</p>



<p>The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Chandrapur Fort station at 3:45 PM, Nagbhir station at 6:18 PM, Gondia station at 5:50 PM, Balaghat at 6:35 PM, Nainpur at 8:15 PM, and arrive at Jabalpur station at 12:20 AM.</p>

New Pipeline from Bisalpur to Jaipur: Rs 1886 Crore Project to Solve Water Woes for 30 Years


<p>Jaipur News: News of a leak in the approximately 15-year-old pipeline running from Bisalpur to Jaipur has sent ripples of worry through the city&#8217;s 4 million residents. </p>



<p>Repairs to such leaks necessitate shutdowns of the Bisalpur system, leading to a severe water shortage for two to three days.</p>



<p>The government has now addressed this concern by undertaking a major project to lay a new pipeline from Bisalpur to Jaipur, which will cost ₹1886 crore. </p>



<p>Completing this 2300 mm pipeline by 2029 will eliminate water worries for the next 30 years, ending the recurring water crises.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">City Currently Receives 530 Million Litres of Water</h2>



<p>According to water engineers, the old pipeline currently supplies Jaipur with 500 million litres of water daily. The new pipeline will increase this to 700 million litres, resulting in a total daily supply of 1200 million litres.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">80-Hour Shutdown in 2023</h2>



<p>In 2023, the Bisalpur pipeline experienced multiple leaks. A leak in June resulted in an 80-hour mega shutdown of the Bisalpur system. Previous shutdowns left the city without water for 45 hours. A report indicates 37 leaks in the pipeline, currently being managed through jacketing.</p>


<p>Jaipur News: The government has undertaken a significant initiative to lay a new pipeline from Bisalpur to Jaipur at a cost of ₹1886 crore.</p>

<p>Congress MP Rakibul Hussain and his security officers were attacked by a group of masked individuals in Nagaon district, Assam. The attack occurred while the MP was travelling on a scooter to a party meeting. Video footage shows the masked individuals attacking Hussain with cricket bats and pursuing him. During the incident, an attempt was made to disarm one of his security officers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two PSOs Sustain Minor Injuries</h2>



<p>Providing information about the incident, Assam&#8217;s DGP Harmeet Singh stated that no one sustained serious injuries, only minor ones. The SP is personally investigating the incident. Two PSOs received minor injuries. Nagaon SP Swapnil Deka (स्वप्निल डेका) explained that the incident happened when Hussain was going to attend a party meeting.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PSO Forced to Fire</h2>



<p>SP Swapnil Deka stated that Hussain travelled by car from Nagaon to Rupahihat. From there, he took a scooter, and after a few kilometres, a gang stopped him. His security officers fired two blank rounds to disperse them. The MP was unharmed in the incident.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police Investigating to Identify Suspects</h2>



<p>Police are examining the video footage to identify the suspects. SP Deka said there were about 60-70 people in the market. They did not have any party banners. Hussain stated that he, his two security officers, and his son Tanjil were travelling on two-wheelers due to fears of an attack on their cars.</p>

<p><strong>Sourav Ganguly Accident:</strong> Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly had a narrow escape from a road accident. The incident occurred while he was travelling to attend a programme at Bardhaman University in West Bengal. The accident happened on the Durgapur Expressway when a lorry overtook Ganguly&#8217;s convoy, forcing the driver to brake suddenly. This sudden braking caused a chain reaction among the vehicles following, resulting in a collision involving Ganguly&#8217;s car.</p>



<p>Although nobody was injured in the accident, two vehicles sustained minor damage. Ganguly had to wait for about 10 minutes before proceeding to his scheduled programme in Bardhaman.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two Accidents at Ganguly&#8217;s Home in One Month</h2>



<p>This is the second accident involving the Ganguly family in a short span of time. In January 2025, Ganguly&#8217;s daughter Sana Ganguly was also involved in an accident on Diamond Harbour Road in Kolkata when a bus collided with her car. Sana was unharmed, although her car sustained minor damage. After the collision, the bus driver tried to flee the scene, but the driver of Sana&#8217;s car chased it and stopped it near Saker Bazar. The police arrived promptly and apprehended the bus driver.</p>

Patel Nagar Housing Scheme Lottery To Be Announced After Govind Vihar, Atal Vihar


<p><strong>Jaipur</strong>: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched three residential schemes this year. After Govind Vihar and Atal Vihar, preparations for the lottery of the Patel Nagar residential scheme are underway. The lottery for this scheme will be held on 24 February.</p>



<p>The JDA has already conducted lotteries for two residential schemes. The lottery for the Atal Vihar residential scheme was held on 14 February, and the lottery for the Govind Vihar residential scheme was held on 20 February.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Patel Nagar Residential Scheme at a Glance</h2>



<p><strong>1-</strong> Applications for the scheme were accepted from 14 January to 13 February.</p>



<p><strong>2-</strong> A total of 270 plots will be allotted through the lottery.</p>



<p><strong>3-</strong> The Patel Nagar scheme is located in Khori Ropara.</p>



<p><strong>4-</strong> The scheme offers only two plot size categories.</p>



<p><strong>5-</strong> The reserved rate for plots is ₹18,000 per square metre.</p>



<p><strong>6-</strong> The scheme includes 138 plots ranging from 76 to 120 square metres and 132 plots ranging from 121 to 220 square metres.</p>



<p><strong>7-</strong> The lottery for the scheme will be held on 24 February.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three More New Residential Schemes from JDA Soon</h2>



<p>Enthusiastic about the bumper applications received for the three current residential schemes, the JDA is planning to launch three more new residential schemes soon. During the lottery for the Atal Vihar residential scheme on 14 February, the Minister of Autonomous Administration and Urban Development, Jhabar Singh Kharra, announced that the JDA would launch three new residential schemes in Jaipur city. It is anticipated that these three residential schemes may be launched in late January or early February. The JDA has completed all preparations for this.</p>


<p>JDA Lottery: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has already conducted lotteries for two housing schemes. The lottery for the Atal Vihar housing scheme was held on February 14th, and the lottery for the Govind Vihar housing scheme was held on February 20th.</p>

<p><strong>Heart Attack:</strong> A tragic incident occurred in Kamareddy district, Telangana, where a 16-year-old schoolgirl suffered a heart attack and died on the spot. The deceased student has been identified as Sri Nidhi Ramareddy, a resident of Singarayapalli village. She was a class 10 student at a private school in Kamareddy.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Sudden Chest Pain, Collapsed on the Ground</strong></h2>



<p>On Thursday morning, while Sri Nidhi was on her way to school, she experienced severe chest pain near the school and collapsed. A school teacher immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital. Doctors administered CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and other initial treatments, but her condition did not improve. She was then referred to another hospital, where doctors declared her dead.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Wave of Grief at School</strong></h2>



<p>The incident sent a wave of grief through the school. Teachers and classmates expressed deep sorrow over Sri Nidhi&#8217;s death. Many students said they were shocked by this unexpected event. The student&#8217;s body was handed over to her family and taken to her ancestral village for the last rites.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Increase in Heart Attack Cases Among Children</strong></h2>



<p>A few months before Sri Nidhi&#8217;s death, similar incidents occurred in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh. Mohit Chaudhary, a 14-year-old class 6 student from Sirouli village, died of a heart attack while preparing for the annual sports day. In the same district, an eight-year-old girl named Diksha also died of a heart attack while playing with her friends.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Reasons Behind Sudden Heart Attacks</strong></h2>



<p>These incidents have raised concerns among parents and teachers. Experts believe that several factors can contribute to sudden heart attacks in children, including genetic factors, excessive mental stress, poor diet, and lifestyle issues.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>22% Increase in Heart Attack Deaths in Two Years</strong></h2>



<p>Professor M. Rabbani of Aligarh Muslim University said, “There has been a 22 per cent increase in heart attack deaths in the last two years. If a healthy person dies suddenly within an hour, it is called sudden cardiac death. Breathing difficulties and chest pain in children should not be ignored. Seek immediate medical attention if such symptoms appear.”</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Preventive Measures for Heart Diseases in Children</strong></h2>



<p>Experts say that some essential steps should be taken to care for children&#8217;s heart health:</p>



<p><strong>Balanced Diet:</strong> Keep children away from junk food and feed them fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat products.</p>



<p><strong>Regular Exercise:</strong> Encourage children to play sports or exercise regularly to improve their physical health.</p>



<p><strong>Stress Management:</strong> Give children mental breaks from time to time to reduce the pressure of studies.</p>



<p><strong>Regular Check-ups:</strong> If there is a history of heart disease in the family, children should have regular check-ups.</p>



<p><strong>Pay Attention to Symptoms:</strong> If a child complains of fatigue, dizziness, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, contact a doctor immediately.</p>

Health experts believe that positive lifestyle changes and timely medical advice can prevent heart problems in children.</p>
