<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Exam Date and Time</h2>



<p>The Rajasthan JET exam will be held on 29 June 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:10 PM. Candidates must report to the exam centre between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Important Instructions</h2>



<p>The admit card will not be sent by post or any other means.</p>



<p>Candidates are advised to carefully read and follow all the instructions given on the admit card.</p>



<p>Keep the admit card safe as it will be required until the final stage of the admission process.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rajasthan JET Exam Pattern</h2>



<p>There will be a single question paper for all candidates, containing multiple-choice questions.</p>



<p>The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English. In case of any ambiguity, the English version will be considered primary.</p>



<p>There will be 40 questions from each subject.</p>



<p>4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.</p>



<p>Each question will have five options. If a question is to be left unanswered, option ‘E’ must be marked.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Subject Selection According to Course</h2>



<p><strong>B.Tech (Food Technology):</strong> Only PCM, PCB, PCMB or PCA combinations will be valid.</p>



<p><strong>Dairy Technology:</strong> Physics, Chemistry and Maths are compulsory.</p>



<p><strong>Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Nutrition and Community Science:</strong> Three subjects must be chosen according to the 12th-grade stream.</p>



<p>Candidates will be allowed to keep the question paper after the exam, but the OMR sheet must be submitted at the exam centre.</p>



<p><strong>Note:</strong> The university has not prescribed a fixed syllabus for the exam, but a general outline is given in Appendix 2 of the information bulletin.</p>

<p>A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh. The discovery of three bodies from the same family in a house located in Sagara Sundarpur Bazaar under the Lilapur police station area has sent shockwaves through the region. The deceased include a mother, son, and daughter-in-law, while a six-month-old infant and an elderly woman present in the house were found safe.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Death of Mother, Son, and Daughter-in-Law</h2>



<p>The bodies of 28-year-old Ankit Patwa, his wife 22-year-old Riya, and Ankit&#8217;s mother 48-year-old Asha Devi, were found lying on a bed in the same room in their Sagara Sundarpur Bazaar residence on Thursday morning. The deaths of three family members under suspicious circumstances have caused chaos within the family.</p>



<p>It is reported that five members of the family had eaten dinner together the previous night and slept, only to be met with this heartbreaking scene in the morning.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Forensic Team Collects Evidence</h2>



<p>Given the seriousness of the incident, a forensic team has also arrived at the scene. However, no suicide note has been recovered yet. While the police suspect suicide, they are not ruling out any possibility.</p>



<p>Prima facie, it appears that all three died from consuming poison. However, this can only be confirmed after the post-mortem report. The surviving elderly woman is reported to be in a disturbed mental state, which is causing some difficulties in the investigation.</p>



<p>According to locals, the family was of a peaceful nature and was never seen involved in any disputes. The police are thoroughly investigating every aspect.</p>

<p><strong>Weather Update:</strong> The Meteorological Department has issued a double alert. There is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in 25 districts of Rajasthan. Gusts of wind are also expected at speeds of 30-50 KMPH. An orange alert has been issued for 5 districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with one or two spells of heavy rain at various locations around Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Sikar districts. There is also a strong possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong surface winds. During this time, the wind speed is likely to be 30-50 KMPH.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Yellow Alert for 20 Districts of Rajasthan</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 20 districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with strong winds at various locations in and around Jaipur, Jaipur City, Bhilwara, Karauli, Dholpur, Dausa, Baran, Bharatpur, Nagaur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Pali, Jhunjhunu, Sri Ganganagar, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Baran, Sirohi, and Udaipur districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the wind speed during this period is likely to be 20-30 KMPH.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highest Rainfall in Rajasthan Recorded at Bhuganda (115 MM)</h2>



<p>According to Meteorological Department data, light to moderate and in some places heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms/lightning was recorded at several places in eastern Rajasthan in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded at Bhuganda (Banswara) at 115 MM.</p>

<p>According to Meteorological Department data, the highest temperature in the last 24 hours was recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, and the highest minimum temperature was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weather Alert for Light to Moderate Rainfall in the Coming Days</h2>



<p>According to the Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in most parts of Rajasthan, and heavy/very heavy rainfall at some places in Kota, Jaipur, and Ajmer divisions in the coming days. Rainfall activity is likely to continue for the next week in the eastern parts of the state, with the possibility of heavy rainfall. In addition, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions in western Rajasthan in the coming days.</p>

<p><strong>Uttarakhand Alaknanda River Accident:</strong> A bus carrying a family from Udaipur and Gogunda on a Char Dham Yatra (pilgrimage) plunged into the Alaknanda River near Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Three people died in the accident, while five are still missing. Ten passengers were rescued.</p>



<p>The search for the remaining five passengers is underway. Three passengers are reported dead. Lalit Soni , his wife, four children, two sisters, and the family of his uncle&#8217;s son from Udaipur, had embarked on the Char Dham Yatra a few days ago.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bus Falls into Alaknanda River</h2>



<p>Around 8 am on Thursday, while they were on their way to Badrinath, their bus fell into the Alaknanda River near Rudraprayag. Following the incident, the administration rescued 10 people, while five are missing and three passengers died. Their relatives from Gogunda and Udaipur have left for Uttarakhand after receiving the news.</p>



<p>Police, SDRF, and district administration teams reached the scene following the accident and launched a rescue operation. Three seriously injured people have been airlifted.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CM Dhami expresses grief</h2>



<p>Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, &#8220;The news of a tempo traveller falling into the river in Rudraprayag district is extremely saddening. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out at a war footing by SDRF and other rescue teams. I am constantly in touch with the local administration in this regard. I pray to God for everyone&#8217;s safety.&#8221;</p>

<p>Monsoon rains are wreaking havoc across several parts of India, causing floods and stranding thousands. Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has experienced incessant heavy rainfall for the past 12 hours, leading to flood-like conditions. Besides Ahmedabad, several eastern areas, including Maninagar, Vatva, CityM, Hatkeshwar, Nikol Odhav, and Viratnagar, have also been inundated, disrupting daily life.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gujarat: Monsoon&#8217;s Fury</h2>



<p>The strong currents of rainwater resulted in the death of a biker who fell into a drainage system. The fire department recovered the biker&#8217;s body, 200 feet away from the drainage line, after a nine-hour operation. The heavy rainfall has severely disrupted city life and daily routines. So far this season, 6.03 inches of rain have been recorded in the city. Surat has also been experiencing flood-like conditions for three consecutive days. A pregnant woman was rescued by the fire brigade and safely taken to a hospital after a sudden health emergency. In Vadodara, heavy rains have caused large potholes on the Jambuba Bridge Road of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway, leading to a 15 km traffic jam.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Himachal Pradesh: Cloudbursts, Tourists Stranded in Kullu</h2>



<p>Reports of cloudbursts accompanying heavy rainfall are emerging from Himachal Pradesh. In the past 24 hours, several cloudbursts have been reported in two districts, including Garsa Valley, Jiwa Nala, Horangarh in Banjar, Stro Gallery in Manali, Khaniyara in Dharamshala, and Kangra. These cloudbursts have caused floods, with several people reported missing; only two bodies have been recovered so far. Heavy rainfall has blocked roads, stranding approximately 2,000 tourists in Kullu. Authorities have also issued an alert regarding water release from dams.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">State-wise Rainfall Situation</h2>



<p>Rajasthan is also experiencing intense monsoon activity with heavy rainfall reported across the state. Banswara recorded the highest rainfall of 8 inches in a single day. A total of 11.3 inches of rain has been recorded in Rajasthan so far. An orange alert is currently in effect, with the state already receiving its projected June rainfall, yet the downpour continues. The meteorological department has issued a rainfall alert for 30 districts today.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Red Alert Issued for These States</h2>



<p>Besides Gujarat, a warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for nine districts in Odisha and Jharkhand. A red alert has also been issued for three districts in Maharashtra, including Mumbai.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Orange Alert for These States</h2>



<p>Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been issued alerts for heavy rainfall, landslides, and floods, with a high likelihood of lightning strikes. An orange alert is also in effect for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have been warned of heavy rainfall and lightning. Alerts have also been issued for Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Yellow Alert Issued Here</h2>



<p>West Bengal is expecting light to heavy rainfall. Similar conditions are anticipated in Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Lakshadweep.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">State-wise Rainfall Totals</h2>



<p>Arunachal Pradesh has recorded the highest rainfall this season, with 27.6 mm. Other states with significant rainfall include Manipur (23.0 mm), Kerala (23.6 mm), Assam (21.3 mm), Mizoram (15.4 mm), and Meghalaya (14.2 mm). Gujarat has recorded 17.0 mm, Madhya Pradesh 16.1 mm, and Goa 13.3 mm. Several states have recorded between 10 and 13 mm of rainfall, including Nagaland, Tripura, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. While some states are experiencing flood-like conditions, others have seen minimal rainfall, including Delhi, Punjab, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, with less than 3 mm of rainfall.</p>

<p>A shooting spree occurred during a celebration in Guanajuato, Mexico. Unknown gunmen opened fire on people attending the event, resulting in the deaths of 12 people and injuring several others. <p>This is the second such incident in the state in recent weeks. Last month, seven people were killed in a shooting at a party organised by the Catholic Church in San Bartolo de Berrios, also in Guanajuato. Located northwest of Mexico City, Guanajuato is one of the country&#8217;s most violent states. Authorities attribute this violence to battles between organised crime groups, including the Santa Rosa de Lima gang and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The state saw 1,435 homicides in the first five months of this year, more than double that of any other state.</p>

<p><strong>Cyber Crime Awareness:</strong> The Indian government has decided to immediately discontinue the caller tune featuring Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan that was being used for cyber crime awareness. This caller tune, which played for 40 seconds before every mobile call, had become a source of annoyance for consumers. The Ministry of Communications took this significant step in response to public complaints and delays in emergencies.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why was this caller tune launched?</h2>



<p>In view of the rising cases of cyber fraud and digital scams in India, the government had instructed telecom companies to play an awareness message before every call. This message, voiced by Amitabh Bachchan, advised people against fraudulent calls, phishing, and sharing unknown links or OTPs. This initiative was initially lauded, given the thousands of people falling victim to cybercrimes daily in the country. However, the repetitive 40-second message, especially during emergency calls, became a source of frustration for many.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Public Complaints Lead to Decision Reversal</h2>



<p>For the past few months, social media users had been demanding the discontinuation of this caller tune. Many users described it as “irritating” and a cause of “unnecessary delays”. Sudarshan Gupta, a former BJP MLA from Indore, raised this issue with Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. He highlighted the delays caused by the tune during emergencies, such as calls to ambulances or the police, which could have serious consequences.</p>



<p>Sudarshan Gupta stated, “I myself experienced twice how this tune hindered calls for immediate help to an injured person in a road accident. Even elderly people are complaining about it.” Expressing agreement with his complaint, Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “I too have experienced this problem. Action will be taken soon.”</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Amitabh Bachchan&#8217;s Response</h2>



<p>Amitabh Bachchan was also trolled on social media by some users regarding this caller tune. <p>Gold prices had been rising for the past few days. However, the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel by US President Donald Trump has impacted the demand for gold as a safe-haven asset. This is directly reflected in today&#8217;s gold price drop. Trump stated that both Iran and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire. Following this news, gold in global markets fell to its lowest level in two weeks.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What are the Experts Saying?</h2>



<p>The ceasefire between Iran and Israel has reduced the demand for gold as a safe-haven asset. Investors are now focusing on the Federal Reserve. With inflation in the US remaining lower than expected, the Fed may cut rates at its upcoming meeting. If this happens, gold could become more attractive to investors. Experts suggest that ₹97,900 per 10 grams is a support level for MCX gold, while resistance is seen at ₹98,600.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Silver Prices</h2>



<p>Along with gold, domestic silver futures prices are also falling today. On the MCX exchange, silver futures opened at ₹106,502 per kilogram, down 0.24%. In early trading, it reached a low of ₹105,905 per kilogram.</p>

<p><strong>New Rules from 1 July 2024:</strong> Many rules, big and small, change every month. Several regulations are set to change from 1 July. New rules regarding instant ticket booking, PAN card applications, and credit card bill payments will come into effect from the first of July. These changes will directly impact the common person&#8217;s finances. Let&#8217;s understand what changes are coming into effect for ordinary citizens from 1 July.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instant Ticket Booking Rules</h2>



<p>From 1 July, the rules for instant ticket booking are changing. IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has made complete preparations for this. According to CMI SK Thakur, OTP authentication will be required for instant tickets purchased through the IRCTC official website and mobile app. Your ticket will only be booked after you feed the OTP received on your mobile phone into the system.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Rules for Credit Card Bill Payments</h2>



<p>Some rules of public and private banks are going to change. In this regard, ICICI Bank has revised its service charges regarding charges levied on certain transactions. The bank has changed the terms and conditions associated with its credit cards.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Charges on Online Gaming and Wallets</h2>



<p>HDFC Bank has made changes to its credit card rules. According to the new rules, HDFC Bank will levy an additional charge of 1% if you spend more than ₹10,000 per month on gaming apps like Dream11, MPL, and Rummy Culture using your HDFC credit card. Similarly, a 1% charge will be levied if you load more than ₹10,000 in a month into third-party wallets (such as Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge, Ola Money).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Charges on Utility Bills</h2>



<p>Banks are also going to charge for utility bills. An additional fee of 1% will be levied on HDFC credit card payments exceeding ₹50,000 per month for utility bills (electricity, water, gas, etc.). A 1% charge will also apply to fuel transactions exceeding ₹15,000.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Rules for Credit Card Bill Payments</h2>



<p>The Reserve Bank of India is implementing new rules related to credit cards from 1 July. According to the new rules, all credit card payments through the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) will need to be revised. This order will affect major fintech platforms like PhonePe, CRED, BillDesk, and Infibeam Avenues. From 1 July, all credit card payments will be made through BBPS. So far, only eight banks have activated bill payments on BBPS.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Charges on ATM Transactions</h2>



<p>ICICI Bank will charge its customers for withdrawing money from ATMs. Using another bank&#8217;s ATM more than three times will incur a charge of ₹23 for financial transactions and ₹8.5 for non-financial transactions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Aadhaar Now Mandatory for PAN Card Applications</strong></h2>



<p>If you do not have a PAN card and need to apply for one, an Aadhaar card will now be mandatory. The CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes) has stated that from 1 July 2025, an Aadhaar card will be required for new PAN cards. Those who have both PAN and Aadhaar cards must link them. Existing PAN card holders have until 31 December 2025 to link their Aadhaar without penalty.</p>

<p>Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Bundelkhand region, has once again become a major attraction for foreign tourists. In 2024, 33,131 foreign tourists visited Khajuraho, the highest number for any tourist destination in the state. Besides Khajuraho, Orchha received 13,960 and Gwalior 10,823 foreign tourists. While this number is lower than pre-COVID levels (an average of one lakh foreign tourists annually in Khajuraho), it indicates a positive trend in the tourism sector&#8217;s revival.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Foreign Tourists Show Interest in Tiger Tourism</h2>



<p>Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s famous tiger reserves also successfully attracted foreign tourists. Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve saw 29,192 foreign tourists, Kanha 19,148, Panna 12,762, and Pench 11,272. This clearly shows a growing interest among foreign tourists in Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s wildlife tourism.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mahakaleshwar Temple Attracts Highest Number of Domestic Tourists</h2>



<p>Along with foreign tourists, Khajuraho also witnessed a large presence of domestic tourists. In 2024, 4.89 lakh Indian tourists visited Khajuraho. Meanwhile, the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain saw the largest crowd among religious tourist sites, with over 7.32 crore devotees. Furthermore, Bhojpur received 35.91 lakh, Maheshwar 13.53 lakh, and Gwalior 9 lakh tourists. Along with religious and cultural tourism, the state&#8217;s rich heritage is also attracting people. In 2024, the state&#8217;s historical heritage sites attracted over 80 lakh tourists.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Growing Importance of World Heritage Sites</h2>



<p>Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s identity is also established on the global map due to its UNESCO World Heritage sites. Currently, the state has three permanent and 15 tentative heritage sites. The permanent list includes the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, the Bhimbetka rock shelters, and the Sanchi Stupa. Orchha&#8217;s historical group is prominent on the tentative list. Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, stated that Madhya Pradesh is a culturally, naturally, and spiritually rich state in India. Due to the government&#8217;s tourist-friendly policies and promotional campaigns, 2024 has been a historic year for tourism.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Impact of Government Initiatives</h2>



<p>The Madhya Pradesh government has made numerous efforts, including connecting the state&#8217;s tourist destinations with smart facilities, investing in infrastructure, and international promotion. Furthermore, schemes like e-guides, heritage walks, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and hospitality training are also attracting tourists. Post-corona, 2024 brought new energy, hope, and opportunities for the tourism industry. Destinations like Khajuraho, Orchha, Panna, Ujjain, Maheshwar, and Gwalior are once again becoming the first choice for international and domestic tourists. If this trend continues, Madhya Pradesh may establish itself even more firmly on the world tourism map in the coming years.</p>


<p>The year 2024 has been a resurgence for Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s tourism sector. Due to the state government&#8217;s tourism policies, improved infrastructure, and promotional campaigns, there has been a significant return of not only domestic but also international tourists to the state.</p>

<p>According to the Panchang (Hindu calendar), the Jagannath Rath Yatra will commence on 27 June and conclude on 5 July upon the chariots&#8217; return to the temple. Therefore, the Rath Yatra will last for nine days.</p>

<p>It is believed that the Jagannath Rath Yatra is a spiritual path leading to salvation (moksha). During this time, the Lord himself emerges from the temple for his devotees and proceeds towards the Gundicha Temple.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Beliefs Associated with the Jagannath Rath Yatra</h2>



<p>It is believed that participating in or witnessing the Jagannath Rath Yatra, even from a distance, washes away all sins and bestows the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri is one of the four Char Dhams. Its Rath Yatra is as significant as the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.</p>
