शहर के वार्ड नंबर 17 व 18 की मदीना कॉलोनी में पेयजल समस्या से परेशान लोग मटके व बर्तन लेकर जलदाय विभाग पहुंच गए।

इनमें काफी संख्या में महिलाएं भी शामिल रही। 6 महीनो से घरों में पानी नहीं आने की बात कहते हुए उन्होंने विभाग के सामने ही धरना देकर मटका फोड़ प्रदर्शन किया।

लोगों का कहना था कि पानी के लिए कॉलोनी पूरी तरह टैंकर पर निर्भर हो गई है।

जलदाय विभाग के कर्मचारियों ने जल्दी ही पानी पहुंचाने का आश्वासन देकर मामला शांत करवाया।

इलाके के लोगों का गुस्सा फूट पड़ा। करीब 1 घंटे तक जमकर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया गया।

JEE Main Result 2025:The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the JEE Main Session-2, 2025, after midnight on Thursday. Along with this, the cutoff for JEE Advanced was also released. This result is a combined result (best of both) of the examinations held in both sessions of JEE Main.



24 students achieved a 100 percentile in the examination, including 7 students from Rajasthan. 10,61,840 candidates registered for the Session 2 examination, out of which 9,92,350 candidates appeared for the examination. This time, the cutoff for unreserved/general category was 93.1023262, while in 2024 it was 93.2362181.

JEE Main 2025 Topper: JEE Main 2025: Mother takes 3-year leave, son secures first rank

JEE Main Result 2025: Kota. Omprakash Behera, a coaching student from Kota, Rajasthan, has created history by securing All India Rank 1 in the country&#8217;s largest engineering entrance examination (JEE Main Session-2, 2025). Omprakash achieved a perfect score of 300 out of 300.



The JEE Main Session-2, 2025 results saw 24 students achieve a 100 percentile, including 7 from Rajasthan. These include Omprakash Behera, MD Anas, Ayush Singhal, Rajit Gupta, Saksham Jindal, Arnav Singh, and Lakshya Sharma.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Focus on the present, not the past: Omprakash</h2>



Omprakash Behera, who scored 300 out of 300 in the exam, said that the only mantra for success in the exam is to focus on what is happening, rather than dwelling on what has already happened. &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a smartphone because I believe it distracts. I study for 8-9 hours daily. I am currently preparing for the Advanced exam.&#8221;



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Omprakash&#8217;s mother in Kota for three years</h2>



Omprakash Behera hails from Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His mother, Smita Rani Behera, is a college lecturer in Odisha teaching Education. However, to provide care during her son&#8217;s studies, she has been on leave for the past three years and resides in Kota with him.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Father took deputation in Delhi</h2>



His father, Kamal Kant Behera, is an officer in the Odisha Administrative Service. To help with his son&#8217;s studies, he also took a deputation in Delhi to be able to visit Kota and provide emotional support. The family is celebrating this achievement.

Delhi Building Collapse: A major incident occurred in the early hours of today in the Mustafabad area of Delhi. Four people have died after a four-storey building collapsed. It is reported that several people are still trapped under the rubble. NDRF and police teams have arrived at the scene and are carrying out rescue operations. The cause of the building collapse is yet to be ascertained.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four Dead, Several Trapped Under Rubble</h2>



Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba of the North East district stated that the incident occurred at 3 am. Eighteen people have been rescued, but four of them have died. The building was four storeys high. The rescue operation is ongoing. There are fears that 8-10 people are still trapped.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">14 Hospitalised</h2>



According to police, the deceased have been identified as Chandni, Danish, Reshma, and Naveed. Eighteen people have been rescued so far, with 14 admitted to hospital. There is still a possibility that some people remain trapped under the rubble. Following reports of the building collapse, dog squads, police, and NDRF teams arrived at the scene and commenced rescue and relief efforts.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">18 Rescued</h2>



Providing information about the incident, Divisional Fire Officer Rajendra Atwal stated that he received information about a building collapse at approximately 3 am. Upon arriving at the scene, he observed that the entire building had collapsed, with people trapped under the rubble. NDRF and Delhi Fire Service are engaged in rescue efforts. Eighteen people have been rescued so far.



Sudden weather changes were witnessed across several states, including Delhi, on Friday. Heavy rain and thunderstorms on Friday night resulted in reports of damage in several areas. In a separate incident last week, a person died when a wall of a building under construction collapsed near Madhu Vihar police station during a dust storm.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Tesla and Starlink Soon Enter the Indian Market?</h2>



For quite some time, there has been speculation about the entry of Musk&#8217;s electric car company, Tesla, into the Indian market. On several occasions, Tesla cars have been spotted on Indian roads. However, it has not yet received the green signal. Musk&#8217;s satellite broadband company, Starlink, has also been discussed for its potential internet service launch in India for the past few months. Major Indian telecom companies Airtel and Jio have already announced partnerships with Starlink. However, the launch date for Starlink in India is yet to be revealed. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that PM Modi and Musk discussed Tesla and Starlink, and possibly a roadmap for facilitating the entry of both companies into India.

RCB IPL Record: The 34th match of IPL 2025 was played on Friday between RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) and Punjab Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Delayed by rain, the match was reduced to 14 overs per side. Batting first after losing the toss, RCB managed only 95 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 14 overs. In reply, Punjab Kings chased down the target with five wickets to spare, with 11 balls remaining. This is yet another home defeat for RCB, this time by 5 wickets. This loss has also added a shameful record to RCB&#8217;s IPL history.

Royal Challengers Bangalore now holds the ignominious record of suffering the most defeats at a single venue in the Indian Premier League. Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar&#8217;s most awaited film, &#8216;Kesari Chapter 2&#8217;, was released in cinemas on 18 April 2025. The film stars Akshay Kumar as C. Sankaran Nair, a brave Indian lawyer who fought against the British Empire in court after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.



This film is a courtroom drama. The figures for its first-day earnings have been released.

The film &#8216;Kesari Chapter 2&#8217; did not have a particularly strong first-day collection. According to Sacnilk, the film had advance ticket sales of ₹3 crore. It earned ₹7.5 crore on its opening day. This is significantly less than Kesari Part One.



Kesari 1 had an opening of ₹21.06 crore. Despite the Good Friday holiday, it did not receive a good response. In contrast, the film &#8216;Cru&#8217; released on Good Friday last year received a better response.

&#8216;Kesari-2&#8217; is a sequel to the 2019 hit film &#8216;Kesari&#8217;, which was based on the Battle of Saragarhi. This time, the film focuses on the true story of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought a legal battle against the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

MP Nursing Scam: 70 Doctors and Nurses Served Notices, Principal Removed

MP Nursing Scam: The Department of Health and Medical Education has taken major action in the nursing scam. Radhika Nair, the principal of the government nursing college at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, has been removed from her post. Leela Nalvanshi has been given the responsibility of principal in her place. Charge sheets have been issued against more than 12 nursing staff and doctors from GMC, along with 70 people across the state, and departmental inquiries have been ordered. These include the doctors and nursing staff who were part of the teams verifying nursing colleges. 



Many colleges were given reports stating they were suitable, even though they did not meet the criteria. Later, an investigation by a High Court committee found these colleges unsuitable.



It may be noted that in May 2024, the CBI declared 169 unsuitable nursing colleges (MP Nursing Scam) in the state as suitable. This included four colleges in the capital city that lacked their own building, labs, and hospitals. The High Court questioned the investigation and ordered a review of all suitable colleges. The government subsequently cancelled the recognition of 66 nursing colleges.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Allegations of Protecting the Guilty</h2>



Ravi Parmar, the state vice-president of NSUI, has alleged an attempt to protect several accused officials and employees. A year ago, the then Medical Education Commissioner issued notices to approximately 110 nursing staff and doctors, but charge sheets have only been issued against 70. A warning has been given that if impartial action is not taken in the case and all the guilty are not punished, NSUI will launch a state-wide agitation.

In a major development in the MP Nursing Scam, the Department of Health and Medical Education has taken significant action. Radhika Nair, the principal of the Government Nursing College at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, has been removed from her post.

MI vs SRH, IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad&#8217;s explosive batsman Travis Head failed to impress with the bat against the Mumbai Indians on Thursday. Despite this, he achieved a unique record, becoming the second-fastest player in IPL history to score 1000 runs. He reached this milestone in the 33rd IPL match against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Head in Second Place in Terms of Balls Faced</h2>



Australian opener Travis Head, alongside young Abhishek Sharma, has been opening the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. Against Mumbai, he achieved this feat, scoring 28 runs off 29 balls. Travis reached his 1000 runs in 575 balls, placing him second only to Andre Russell (545). In the list of batsmen who have scored 1000 runs in the fewest balls in IPL history, Heinrich Klaasen is in third place, achieving this feat in 594 balls. India&#8217;s veteran Virender Sehwag is fourth with 1000 runs in 604 balls, while Glenn Maxwell reached the milestone in 610 balls.



During the match against Mumbai Indians, Travis Head was caught near the boundary off a Hardik Pandya delivery. However, the ball was a no-ball. Despite this, Head couldn&#8217;t capitalise on the opportunity. He was eventually dismissed for 28 runs off 29 balls, caught by Mitchell Santner off Will Jacks&#8217; bowling. The 31-year-old Travis Head represented Royal Challengers Bangalore before being picked by SRH for IPL 2024. He is the 99th batsman in IPL history to score 1000 or more runs.



So far in 32 matches, he has scored 1014 runs at an average of 37.25 and a strike rate of 174.06. By the end of his 32nd match, he had faced 578 balls and has scored one century and seven half-centuries in the IPL. In the list of highest run-scorers in IPL history, Virat Kohli leads with 8252 runs in 258 matches. Shikhar Dhawan is second with 6769, and Rohit Sharma is third with 6684 runs in 262 matches.
