<p><strong>PM Modi US Visit:</strong> Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to the United States on 12 February. He will meet with US President Donald Trump to discuss bilateral issues and important global matters. This visit comes amidst trade wars initiated between the US and several countries, including India, following Trump&#8217;s second inauguration at the White House, raising concerns about their impact on India.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PM Modi&#8217;s Two-Day US Visit</h2>



<p>While the official itinerary for the Prime Minister&#8217;s US trip hasn&#8217;t been released, it&#8217;s understood that he will travel directly to the US after concluding a two-day visit to France. PM Modi is scheduled to attend the AI Action Summit in Paris on 10 February. Departing from France, he will arrive in the US on the evening of 12 February. His meeting and discussions with President Trump are planned for the following day, 13 February. It&#8217;s anticipated that Trump will host a dinner in Modi&#8217;s honour. Discussions between the two leaders may cover trade, tariffs, defence cooperation, and regional security in the Indo-Pacific region.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trump&#8217;s Positive Remarks, Actions Follow</h2>



<p>Following a lengthy phone conversation with Modi on 27 January, Trump informed reporters that he enjoys a good relationship with India and that the Indian Prime Minister might visit the US the following month. Modi&#8217;s US visit was confirmed a mere 15 days after this conversation. During his election campaign and after assuming office, Trump made negative comments about tariffs concerning China, Canada, Mexico, and India. However, his actions have differentiated India from the other three countries. In his conversation with Modi, Trump praised the Indian PM&#8217;s approach to illegal immigration, stating that he would do what is right.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Importance Given to India: First Invitation, First Meeting</h2>



<p>Following Trump&#8217;s assumption of office, PM Modi was the first leader invited to visit the US. This indicates that US President Trump is prioritising his strategic partner, India. <p><strong>Delhi Elections:</strong> Campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections concluded on Monday evening. On the final day, the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) put in their full effort. Home Minister Amit Shah held rallies in Jangpura, Bijwasan, and Dwarka, soliciting votes for the BJP. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi conducted a roadshow in Kalkaji, while Priyanka Gandhi campaigned door-to-door in Kasturba Nagar and Gupura. AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal also sought votes for his party in Kalkaji and Chhatarpur Assembly constituencies. Voting will take place on Wednesday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three-Cornered Contests on Several Seats, AAP Faces Stiff Challenge</h2>



<p>The last two elections were confined to a contest between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party, but this time, with Congress putting in a strong effort, several seats are likely to witness three-cornered contests. Since seats in Delhi average 1.5 to 2 lakh votes, a three-cornered contest increases the possibility of a close fight. The Aam Aadmi Party, which won overwhelmingly in the previous two elections, is facing a tough challenge this time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Close Contests on Kejriwal, Sisodia, and Atishi&#8217;s Seats</h2>



<p>Former CM Arvind Kejriwal is facing a tough challenge from BJP&#8217;s Pravesh Verma and Congress&#8217;s Sandeep Dikshit in the New Delhi constituency. If a three-cornered contest materialises here, Kejriwal, who won by over 21,000 votes last time, might find his seat difficult to retain. In Kalkaji, Chief Minister Atishi is facing strong competition from BJP&#8217;s Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress&#8217;s Alka Lamba. A three-cornered contest is also likely here. Manish Sisodia, who shifted to Jangpura, does not have an easy path. He is facing stiff competition from BJP&#8217;s Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress&#8217;s Farhad Suri.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Owaisi&#8217;s Entry Could Change the Game</h2>



<p>A different equation is visible in two constituencies affected by the 2020 Delhi riots – Mustafabad and Okhla. The entry of Owaisi&#8217;s party, AIMIM, has made AAP and Congress apprehensive about vote splitting. In Okhla, AAP&#8217;s Amanatullah is facing a tough challenge not only from BJP and Congress but also from AIMIM candidate Shifa Ur Rehman, and similarly in Mustafabad from Tahir Hussain.</p>

<p><strong>R Ashwin on Suryakumar Yadav Batting:</strong> Although the Indian cricket team achieved a resounding 4-1 victory against England in the T20 International series, captain Suryakumar Yadav&#8217;s poor form has raised concerns. The Indian captain managed only 28 runs in 5 matches, twice being dismissed for a duck. His highest score in the series was a mere 14 runs. Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has asserted that Suryakumar Yadav needs to adapt his batting style to perform better in this shortest format of the game.</p>



<p>As a former world number-1 in T20s, Surya has high expectations from fans. While his captaincy in the domestic T20 series against England was excellent, his batting was far from his usual standard. The same problem exists with opening batsman Sanju Samson. R Ashwin was surprised to see both these veteran batsmen dismissed in similar circumstances against English fast bowlers. He claimed that both were dismissed similarly, making the same mistake – a serious concern for the team.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">‘Now it’s not unusual’ – Ashwin</h2>



<p>R Ashwin stated on his YouTube channel that the problem lies with Suryakumar&#8217;s batting. Undoubtedly, his captaincy in this series was truly good. However, he could take a break from batting for a while. Sanju Samson and SKY are getting out on the same ball, same field placement, same shot, same mistake, and in the same manner. I can understand this happening in 1-2 matches, but now it&#8217;s not unusual. Players should play freely, but our batsmen need to find a better answer to this question.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">‘Surya should change his approach to batting’</h2>



<p>The former spinner praised Sky&#8217;s excellent captaincy, while also revealing that the batsman needs to change his batting style. Ashwin further added that Sky needs to make significant changes and he believes he will. Ashwin said that Suryakumar Yadav is a very experienced player. One might say he was at the forefront of change, but the time has come for him to change his approach to batting.</p>

<p>The film <em>Deva</em> is directed by renowned Malayalam film director, Rosshan Andrrews. The film collected ₹5 crore on its first day and ₹6.25 crore on the second day. The third-day collection was ₹7.15 crore. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deva Worldwide Box Office Collection</h2>



<p>On Monday (Day 4), the film grossed ₹2.50 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹21.65 crore. Its box office performance has now slowed down. A &#8216;buy one get one&#8217; offer was implemented on the third day to boost <em>Deva&#8217;s</em> business. This offer was available on BookMyShow on Sunday. Worldwide, the film has earned ₹34 crore.</p>

<p>However, this did not seem to help. Despite starring Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and actors like Pravesh Rana and Girish Kulkarni, audiences are not turning up in large numbers. The film, produced by Roy Kapur Films and Zee Studios, has a budget of ₹80 crore.</p>



<p>The film&#8217;s plot revolves around a police officer investigating a murder case, uncovering deceit and betrayal during the investigation. It is reported that this action thriller will be released on Netflix a few days after its theatrical run ends.</p>

<p><strong>Delhi School Holiday:</strong> Voting for the Delhi Election 2025<strong> </strong>will be held on 5 February 2025 in Delhi, with results announced on 8 February. In view of this, all private and government schools will be closed. Furthermore, all government and private offices will also remain closed. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has already announced that all central government offices in Delhi, including industrial establishments, will be closed on polling day.</p>



<p>On election day, various school buildings are used as polling stations. This is another reason why schools will be closed on 5 February 2025. This is a standard practice during elections, where schools remain closed. However, it is advisable to confirm holiday information with the school and relevant institution.</p>

<p>Furthermore, in view of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Haryana government has also declared a paid holiday on 5 February for public office employees, school and college staff, as well as employees of boards and corporations. <p>An assailant attacked Saif in his Bandra residence, entering his youngest son Jeh&#8217;s room. The actor, bleeding profusely, took himself to the hospital, with his son Taimur present at the time.</p>



<p>Media reports stated that doctors removed a 2.5-inch knife from his wound. The actor sustained multiple stab wounds while trying to fight off the attacker. He received six wounds, two considered serious due to their proximity to his spine.</p>



<p>The incident occurred when the assailant allegedly broke into his Bandra home, attacked his domestic help, and Saif intervened.</p>

<p>Sad news has emerged from the entertainment world. Famous Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu passed away at the age of 48. Her sister, Dee Hsu, confirmed the news through a statement.</p>



<p>Barbie fell ill during a family trip to Japan and subsequently contracted pneumonia. According to reports, pneumonia was the cause of her death. It is understood that she also suffered from previous epilepsy and heart problems.</p>
