
<p><strong>Air India:</strong> A passenger on an Air India flight from Delhi to Bangkok urinated on a fellow passenger. The incident is reported to have occurred on Wednesday. The airline issued a statement saying that the crew followed all established procedures after the event. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is taking a strong stance on the matter, with the Union Aviation Minister taking cognizance of the incident.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Airline&#8217;s Statement</h2>



<p><strong>Air India</strong> stated that on April 9th, 2025, the cabin crew of Air India flight AI2336 from Delhi to Bangkok reported an incident of unruly passenger behaviour. The crew followed all established procedures and reported the matter to the authorities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Victim Declined to File a Complaint</h2>



<p>The statement also mentioned that besides warning the offending passenger, the crew also requested the affected passenger to file a complaint with the authorities in Bangkok. However, the affected passenger declined to lodge a complaint. Air India continues to follow the SOPs laid down by the DGCA in such cases.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has taken cognizance of the matter. He stated that if anything wrong occurred, necessary action will be taken. He added that the ministry pays attention to such incidents whenever they occur.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Similar Incidents in the Past</h2>



<p>It should be noted that this is not the first instance of a passenger urinating on a fellow passenger on a flight. Similar incidents have occurred in the past. In 2022, a case involving an intoxicated passenger urinating on a female passenger on a New York- Delhi flight came to light.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SC Directed to Formulate Guidelines</h2>



<p>Following the 2022 urination incident on an Air India flight, the Supreme Court directed the central government and the DGCA to formulate guidelines. The Supreme Court issued this directive on November 26th of last year.</p>

<p> <strong>Jaipur:</strong> Despite the scorching heat and rising temperatures in the state, the High Court on Thursday ordered the <i>suo moto</i> registration of a public interest litigation (PIL) for the lack of measures to save people&#8217;s lives from heatstroke, despite a court order issued 10 months ago.</p>



<p>Expressing strong displeasure at the attitude of the officials, the court stated that the court&#8217;s directives issued last year were shelved. This raises questions about the rule of law. Officials consider themselves above the law, but the court cannot sit idly by. Humans cannot be treated like animals, nor can the excuse of a lack of funds to save lives be accepted.</p>



<p>The court directed the Chief Secretary to form a coordination committee to implement court orders and to create an action plan to prevent heatstroke. Notices were issued to the Union Home Ministry, the Chief Secretary, the National Disaster Management Authority, and 10 officials from the central and state governments, seeking a response. Further, all collectors were asked to submit compliance reports by April 24 regarding the directives issued to save lives from heatstroke.</p>



<p>Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand, on Thursday, took <i>suo moto</i> cognisance of the heatwave and climate change and ordered the registration of a public interest litigation. The court noted that temperatures in several districts of the state reach 50.5 degrees Celsius, and the situation is worsening daily.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heatstroke Deaths a Serious Public Health Challenge</h2>



<p>The court described deaths due to heatstroke as a serious public health challenge. It stated that officials cannot be allowed to shirk their duties. Considering the inaction as serious negligence, the court said that if the orders are not complied with, strict action will be taken. The court noted that no action plan was made, nor any effort was made, for 10 months after the court order.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Court: Why Not Issue These Directives?</h2>



<p>-Plant trees on both sides of roads and develop green public spaces.<br>-The Heat and Cold Wave Prevention Bill, 2015, should be enacted and implemented as an effective law.<br>-Workers working in the open should be allowed rest from 12 pm to 3 pm.<br>-ORS, aam panna (mango drink), and drinking water should be provided for humans and animals.<br>-Arrangements for heatstroke treatment should be ensured at health centres.<br>-Alerts should be issued through SMS, FM radio, mobile apps, and social media.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Court Seeks Cooperation From</h2>



<p>The court asked Additional Solicitor General R.D. Rastogi, Additional Advocate General Bhuvnesh Sharma, G.S. Gill, Kapil Prakash Mathur, Sandeep Taneja, and Vijayan Shah, along with advocates Sushil Daga, Kunal Jaiman, and Tribhuvan Narayan Singh, to cooperate with the court in this matter.</p>

<p><strong>MP Nursing Scam:</strong> The Department of Health and Medical Education has taken major action in the nursing scam. Radhika Nair, the principal of the government nursing college at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, has been removed from her post. Leela Nalvanshi has been given the responsibility of principal in her place. Charge sheets have been issued against more than 12 nursing staff and doctors from GMC, along with 70 people across the state, and departmental inquiries have been ordered. These include the doctors and nursing staff who were part of the teams verifying nursing colleges. </p>



<p>Many colleges were given reports stating they were suitable, even though they did not meet the criteria. Later, an investigation by a High Court committee found these colleges unsuitable.</p>



<p>It may be noted that in May 2024, the CBI declared 169 unsuitable nursing colleges (MP Nursing Scam) in the state as suitable. This included four colleges in the capital city that lacked their own building, labs, and hospitals. The High Court questioned the investigation and ordered a review of all suitable colleges. The government subsequently cancelled the recognition of 66 nursing colleges.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Allegations of Protecting the Guilty</strong></h2>



<p>Ravi Parmar, the state vice-president of NSUI, has alleged an attempt to protect several accused officials and employees. A year ago, the then Medical Education Commissioner issued notices to approximately 110 nursing staff and doctors, but charge sheets have only been issued against 70. A warning has been given that if impartial action is not taken in the case and all the guilty are not punished, NSUI will launch a state-wide agitation.</p>

<p>So far in 32 matches, he has scored 1014 runs at an average of 37.25 and a strike rate of 174.06. By the end of his 32nd match, he had faced 578 balls and has scored one century and seven half-centuries in the IPL. In the list of highest run-scorers in IPL history, Virat Kohli leads with 8252 runs in 258 matches. Shikhar Dhawan is second with 6769, and Rohit Sharma is third with 6684 runs in 262 matches.</p>

<p>The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is reviewing the recruitment exam calendar for the year 2025-26. A revised exam calendar will be released soon. This calendar will be published on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. All candidates should keep an eye on this website.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Several Exam Notifications Yet to be Released</h2>



<p>Previously, the commission released the calendar for recruitment examinations in 2025-26 in December 2024. This included dates for notifications of several recruitments, including Delhi Police Constable recruitment, CGL, CHSL, Delhi Police CAPF SI recruitment, MTS Havildar recruitment, SSC GD Constable recruitment, Stenographer recruitment, and Translator recruitment. According to this calendar, the advertisement for the Selection Post Examination Phase-XIII 2025 was to be released on 16 April 2025, but it has not yet been released.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Which Government Job Recruitment Exams Will be Held This Year?</h2>



<p>The calendar will be released for Delhi Police Constable Executive recruitment, SSC GD Constable recruitment 2025, CGL recruitment 2025, MTS Havildar recruitment 2025, CHSL (10+2) level, Delhi Police Constable (Executive) Male and Female, Delhi Police examination, 2025 for Constable (Driver), Delhi Police examination for Head Constable (Ministerial) recruitment, and Delhi Police examination for Head Constable recruitment.</p>

<p>The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 Session-2 results soon. Candidates can check their results and scorecards on the NTA&#8217;s official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, using their application number and date of birth. The JEE Mains Session-2 result was scheduled for release on 17 April but is yet to be published. On the evening of 17 April, around 6 pm, the NTA uploaded the final answer key to the website, but it was removed within two and a half hours. In the released answer key, two physics questions were removed, although experts had objected to a total of nine questions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">JEE Mains Final Result: Expected Cut-off</h2>



<p>After the release of the final answer key, candidates were expecting the results. It is now anticipated that the results may be declared at any time. A higher number of students participated in the exam this time, leading to expectations of an increased cut-off. According to experts, the cut-off for the General Category could be between 93 and 95 percentile, which is approximately 85-90 marks (out of 300). For the OBC-NCL and EWS categories, the cut-off is estimated to be between 91 and 93 percentile, or approximately 80-85 marks. For the SC category, it could be between 82 and 86 percentile, and for the ST category, between 73 and 80 percentile, which would be around 50 to 65 marks.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">JEE Mains Session 2: Exam Dates</h2>



<p>The JEE Main Session-2 BE/B.Tech (Paper-I) exam was conducted on 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 April 2025. This exam was held at 531 centres located in 285 cities across India and 15 cities abroad. Paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) was held on 9 April. Students are eagerly awaiting the results after the exam.</p>

₹1250 Message for 23rd Ladli Behna Installment May Drop Anytime


<p><strong>Ladli Behna Yojana:</strong> Good news is on the horizon for the Ladli Bahna (Ladli Behna Scheme) beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has departed for Mandla to transfer the scheme&#8217;s funds into the accounts of the beneficiary women. While in Mandla, the CM will also transfer social security pensions and cylinder refilling money to the beneficiaries&#8217; accounts.</p>



<p>Before leaving for Mandla, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, speaking at the Chief Minister&#8217;s residence in Bhopal to news agency ANI, said: “I am happy that today I am going to Mandla to deposit money into the accounts of my sisters…”. The CM further added that they are working for the betterment of every district in Madhya Pradesh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instalment Transfer to Women&#8217;s Accounts</h2>



<p>During a programme in Mandla, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹1552 crore 38 lakh, the 23<sup>rd</sup> instalment for April, to the accounts of 1.27 crore beneficiary women across the state with a single click. Under the scheme, ₹1250 is transferred to the account of each beneficiary woman every month.</p>



<p>Furthermore, the CM will transfer ₹340 crore to the accounts of 56.68 lakh social security pension beneficiaries. The Chief Minister will also send ₹57 crore for cylinder refilling to over 25 lakh women.</p>



<p>During the 2023 elections in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP promised to increase the amount given under the Ladli Behna Yojana if they returned to power. After winning the elections, the Mohan Yadav government has started fulfilling its promise by sending money to the women&#8217;s accounts. So far, 22 instalments have been deposited into the women&#8217;s accounts. Today, the 23<sup>rd</sup> instalment is being disbursed.</p>

<p>In February 2025, Govinda’s lawyer, Lalit Bindal, revealed in an interview that although Sunita (सुनीता) had filed for divorce, the couple are now together. He mentioned that they had visited the Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal for New Year and performed prayers together. The lawyer said, “Everything is fine between them now, and they are living together. These things happen between couples.” Currently, everything seems normal between Govinda and Sunita Ahuja. Sunita’s statements regarding the divorce rumours make it clear that believing such news before an official statement from her or Govinda would be premature.</p>

<p><strong>BPSC 70th Mains Exam:</strong> The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued important guidelines regarding the 70th Combined Competitive Main Examination, commencing on 25 April 2025. According to the commission, candidates can use a simple calculator in the General Studies (GS) first shift exam on 26 April. However, the use of any type of calculator is strictly prohibited in the optional subject MCQ exam on 29 April, first shift. Candidates are permitted to use a scientific calculator in the &#8220;Maths and Statistics&#8221; exam for &#8220;Financial Administrative Officer&#8221; on 30 April.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BPSC Notification: Instructions Regarding Admit Cards</h2>



<p>The commission, through a released notice, has also informed that some candidates&#8217; application forms have unclear, missing, or absent photos or signatures. Such candidates must present a valid identity document to the superintendent of the examination centre on the day of the exam. Candidates can download a declaration form from the commission&#8217;s official website, fill it out, and affix a coloured photograph. This photograph must be attested by a gazetted officer.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BPSC: Two Attested Photographs Required with Admit Card</h2>



<p>Candidates must affix two coloured photographs to their admit cards. One photograph must be verified by a gazetted officer near the designated space on the admit card, and the other photograph must be affixed at the examination centre in the presence of the superintendent. Additionally, carrying a valid identity document is mandatory. The superintendent will check all documents at the examination centre, and only after verification will the candidate be permitted to sit for the examination.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BPSC 70th Mains Exam: Examination Schedule and Vacancies</h2>



<p>The BPSC will conduct this examination on 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30 April. A total of 2,035 posts are to be filled through this recruitment drive. The commission is making all necessary preparations for this examination.</p>
