Jaipur Traffic Disruptions Expected During JD Vance&#39;s Visit


<p><strong>JD Vance Jaipur Visit:</strong> Traffic will be disrupted for eight hours on Tuesday on several routes in Jaipur due to the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance. Police will restrict traffic on these routes from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday as needed. Traffic police have issued instructions to examinees to use parallel routes to reach their examination centres. School children may also face difficulties during school dismissal times.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Affected Routes</h2>



<p>Traffic will be diverted from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM as needed on the following routes: Polo Circle on Bhawani Singh Road, Rambag Crossing, JLN Marg from OTS Crossing to Ramniwas Bagh, Chaura Rasta, Tripoliya Bazaar, Hawa Mahal Bazaar, from Subhash Chowk to Amer. Traffic from OTS Crossing to Kendriya Vidyalaya Number Three crossing will also be affected. Parallel routes such as Tonk Road, Jhalana Bypass, Jawahar Nagar Bypass, Janpath, Prithviraj Road, MI Road, Govind Marg, Moti Dungri Road, Kishanpole Bazaar, Ramganj Bazaar, Ghatgate Bazaar, and Delhi Road will be used for diversion. </p>

<p><strong>Pakistan:</strong> Pakistan&#8217;s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has stated that there are approximately 22 million beggars in the country. Asif expressed concern over the steadily increasing number of beggars, highlighting that this is no longer a domestic issue alone. Pakistanis are resorting to begging in foreign countries as well, damaging the nation&#8217;s image abroad. It is noteworthy that Pakistan&#8217;s total population is close to 240 million; thus, approximately one in ten Pakistanis is involved in begging. Begging has, in a way, become a national profession in Pakistan.</p>

<p>Asif also revealed the annual earnings of these beggars. Addressing members of the Readymade Garments Association in Sialkot, Asif stated that their annual income totals ₹42 billion. Underscoring the severity of the problem, Khawaja mentioned having removed beggars from Sialkot twice, only to see them return in large numbers. He emphasised that these individuals harm the country&#8217;s international reputation and credibility.</p>

<p><strong>Rajasthan News:</strong> The Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated on Monday that it had seized securities, bonds, and demat accounts worth ₹573 crore during searches last week in a money laundering case linked to the Mahadev online betting app. This also included ₹3.29 crore in cash.</p>



<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Raids Conducted Across 60 Locations, Including Jaipur</h1>



<p>According to the ED, the investigation revealed that the betting platform and its associated syndicate had moved ‘proceeds of crime’ out of the country, later investing it in Indian stock markets under the guise of Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI). The ED conducted raids in 60 locations, including Jaipur, Raipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Raid at a Dry Fruit Merchant&#8217;s House in Jaipur</h2>



<p>According to ED sources, a raid was conducted at the house of a dry fruit merchant in Apple Residency, Sodala, Jaipur. The ED team investigated links to several companies, including Vikas Ecotech.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">13 Arrested So Far</h2>



<p>The ED has arrested 13 people in this case and filed five charge sheets against 74 accused. According to the ED, the estimated proceeds of crime in this case are approximately ₹6000 crore.</p>
