Heat Wave Alert: Even before Holi, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing a surge in temperatures. A more intense heatwave is expected after Holi. According to the Meteorological Department, most areas of Madhya Pradesh may experience extreme heat 2-3 days after Holi.



On Thursday, the maximum temperature recorded was 38 degrees Celsius. The night temperature increased by 3.8 degrees, reaching 21 degrees. According to meteorologists, the entry of hot winds is imminent due to a weather system near Rajasthan. These winds will increase the state&#8217;s temperature.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cyclonic hot winds from Rajasthan to increase temperatures in MP</h2>



According to the Meteorological Department, with each passing day in March, the intensity of the sun is increasing. This causes the mercury to remain high during the day. An upper air cyclonic circulation persists over the south-western parts of Rajasthan. This has led to a rise in temperatures there. These hot winds are reaching Madhya Pradesh, causing a rise in both day and night temperatures.



It is estimated that there will be no significant change in temperature in the next two days, but the daytime temperature may remain around 37-38 degrees and the night temperature around 19-20 degrees. It is reported that in the last 10 years, only three times has Holi been relatively cool. In approximately seven instances, Holi has experienced significant daytime heat.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Temperatures in major cities of MP</h2>



Regarding the minimum temperatures in five major cities of the state, Ujjain recorded 17 degrees. Jabalpur recorded 17.4 degrees, Gwalior 18.9 degrees, Indore 19.9 degrees, and Bhopal recorded a minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. Among the five cities with the lowest minimum temperatures in the state, Kalyanpur in Shahdol district had the coldest night, with the mercury at 13.6 degrees. Additionally, Anwari (Ashoknagar) recorded 13.7 degrees, Pachmarhi (Narmadapuram) 14.1 degrees, Mandla 14.7 degrees, and Deora (Singrauli) 15.5 degrees Celsius.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi on Wednesday evening. He chaired a review meeting on various development projects at the Circuit House. During this time, he stated that Kashi is a city of Shiva. From the Vishwanath Temple to the announcements systems at intersections, &#8216;Suprabhatam&#8217; should be played.



The Chief Minister instructed officials to continuously campaign for permanent control of loudspeakers at religious places. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kashi Ropeway: India&#8217;s First Public Transport Ropeway</h2>



The ropeway project in Varanasi is under construction at a rapid pace. This 3.75-kilometre-long project will have five stations, connecting Varanasi Cantonment Railway Station to Godaulia Chowk. It aims to alleviate the city&#8217;s traffic congestion. This ropeway will also feature amenities such as an automatic motor and a vertical rescue system to handle emergencies.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">3,000 People Can Travel Simultaneously</h2>



According to information, this ropeway will be available at affordable fares and will be able to serve approximately 95,000 passengers daily. Up to 3,000 people can travel simultaneously. The project is being constructed by the Swiss company, Garaventa, and National Highways Logistics Private Limited.

The Chief Minister offered prayers and performed puja at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. In the temple&#8217;s sanctum sanctorum, the Chief Minister performed the Abhishek of Baba&#8217;s holy Jyotirlinga with proper rituals and prayed for the well-being of the state and the entire country. Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar, MLA Saurabh Srivastava, and other leaders were also present during the darshan and puja. Temple priest Pt. Shrikant Mishra conducted the puja for the Chief Minister.

He announced 25,750 recruitments for youth and a one-time incentive of ₹10,000 for those securing their first job. &#8216;Lakhpati Didi&#8217;, &#8216;Drone Didi&#8217;, and women &#8216;sakhis&#8217; will be honoured, and 10 women in each block will be given laptops. Five thousand villages will be made poverty-free.



The CM emphasised water, roads, industrial investment, and employment. Now, Rajasthan Day will be celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada instead of March 30 every year; ₹25 crore has been allocated for this year. Chief Minister Sharma responded to the debate on the Finance and Appropriation Bill in the Assembly. His address lasted for about two and a quarter hours.



During this time, he targeted senior opposition leaders including former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal , and Pradesh Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, while expressing concern over the uproar and breach of decorum in the House. He also mentioned the tears shed by the Assembly Speaker in the House.

Rajasthan: 210 Villages Set for a Transformation with Bharatpur Development Push!

Urban Development Minister Jhaber Singh Kharra stated that the Bharatpur Development Authority will accelerate the planned, organised, and systematic development of the city. Comprehensive development will be ensured in every sector. He mentioned that Bharatpur is a large city in terms of population. In recent years, the city and its surrounding areas have been rapidly urbanising. Therefore, the authority has now been established. This will ensure better housing, community facilities, and infrastructure in the region. The general public will receive high-quality public services.



Mr Kharra was responding to a discussion on the Bharatpur Development Authority Bill 2025 in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. He said that the rapid development in the urban areas of the state has led to a surge in real estate investment. Considering this, the need for rapid development in larger cities has been felt.



Minister Kharra stated that previously, the area of the Nagar Vikas Nyas (Urban Development Trust) extended to 53 revenue villages (18,960.95 hectares of land). Now, the authority includes Bharatpur city, Bharatpur tehsil, and 210 villages in Kuher and Rarh. Their total area is 53,205.58 hectares. Notably, the authority will have 16 members, including a chairperson.



Kharra mentioned that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had announced the formation of the Bharatpur Development Authority in the 2024-25 budget. Following this announcement, an ordinance was brought in, and a notification was issued to establish the authority. Earlier, Kharra introduced the bill in the House. The House rejected a proposal to circulate the bill for public opinion and passed the bill by voice vote.

According to the District Magistrate&#8217;s order, all shops with licenses FL-7 and FL-49/41 will remain closed. He stated that no compensation would be payable to liquor license holders for this closure. Strict adherence to this order is to be ensured. London. Donating blood not only saves lives but could also benefit your health. According to new research, people who regularly donate blood may have a reduced risk of developing cancer. 



Scientists at the Francis Crick Institute in London found that long-term blood donors experience genetic changes in their blood. 



The scientists compared the blood of two groups of 60-year-old blood donors. The first group comprised individuals who had donated blood three times a year for the past 40 years. 



The second group included those who had donated only five times in their lifetime. Genetic changes were observed in the blood of 50% of individuals in the first group, compared to only 30% in the second group. 



Dr. Hector Hurga Encabo, a scientist involved in the research, explained that regular blood donation led to changes in stem cells that could reduce the risk of leukaemia (blood cancer). 



Currently, the research has been conducted on men. Scientists are now preparing to conduct similar research on women.

Researchers say that mutations occur in the blood over time, potentially increasing the risk of cancer. Blood donation accelerates the process of new blood formation. Stem cells become more active, producing new and healthy blood. Blood donation reduces the number of old and damaged blood cells.

A Maharashtra court has ordered the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to exchange old notes worth ₹20 lakh, eight years after demonetisation. Following a Bombay High Court ruling, old ₹500 notes seized by the Income Tax Department during demonetisation will now be exchanged.



The Bombay High Court recently directed the RBI to exchange the seized old notes belonging to eight individuals from Kolhapur with new currency. This decision provides significant relief to the eight petitioners after eight years.



Ramesh Potdar and seven others from Kolhapur filed a petition in the High Court in 2017. A division bench of Justices Atul Chandurkar and Milind Sathe, while deciding on this petition, ordered the Reserve Bank to exchange the demonetised ₹500 notes for new currency by 12 March 2025.



On 8 November 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation. Subsequently, the Reserve Bank allowed the deposit of old notes in banks until 30 December 2016. However, just four days before this deadline, on 26 December 2016, the Income Tax department raided the Potdar family&#8217;s home and seized ₹20 lakh worth of old ₹500 notes.



Later, the Income Tax department summoned the Potdar family for questioning and recorded their statements. After the investigation, on 10 January 2017, the department informed the Shahuwadi police that the notes would not be confiscated. Following this, on 14 January 2017, the police informed the Potdar family.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reserve Bank&#8217;s Refusal</h2>



After receiving the money back, when the Potdar family went to the Mumbai RBI office on 17 January 2017 and requested the exchange of their old notes, the top bank officials refused, as the deadline for exchanging notes had passed. The Potdar family was forced to approach the High Court.

The Bombay High Court has directed the Reserve Bank of India to exchange the obsolete banknotes held by the petitioners.

The student&#8217;s statements to the police and the court mention sexual abuse. Therefore, the police have added sections of the POCSO Act to the case and begun an investigation.



The case of the abduction of a class 9 student from the Bijainagar police station area of Bayavar district and his recovery from the house of his female tuition teacher has taken a serious turn. In the abduction case filed by the father after the minor student went missing under suspicious circumstances, sections related to sexual abuse and the POCSO Act have been added. The police are investigating all aspects of the case. The investigation is being carried out by the Station House Officer, Karan Singh Khangarot.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sexual Abuse Mentioned in Statements</h2>



Bijainagar police station registered a case of abduction on March 7th based on a report filed by the father of the student who had initially gone missing. Police, based on the location of the student&#8217;s mobile phone, searched the town and recovered the student from the roof of the female teacher&#8217;s house. He was presented before the CWC (Child Welfare Committee) and handed over to his family. However, the student&#8217;s statement to the police and his subsequent statement in court mention sexual abuse. Based on the student&#8217;s confession, the police have added sections related to sexual abuse and the POCSO Act to the case.



Sexual abuse has been mentioned in the statements of the minor student. Based on the victim&#8217;s statement, sections of the POCSO Act and sexual abuse have been added. An impartial investigation will be conducted in this case.
