
<p>The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025 on its official website, exam.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG. The answer key is available for a total of 157 subjects. The examination was conducted from 13 March to 1 April 2025 across the country in computer-based test (CBT) mode.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CUET PG 2025 Answer Key: Objection Filing Process and Deadline</h2>



<p>Candidates who wish to raise objections regarding any answer in the answer key can submit their objections online until 12 midnight on 24 April. A fee of ₹200 has been set for each objection, payable online. After reviewing the objections received on the provisional answer key, the NTA will release the final answer key and results. According to media reports, the exam results may be released soon.</p>

<p>Approximately 4.12 lakh candidates participated in the CUET PG 2025 examination. This exam was conducted in 43 shifts over 16 days. The exam awards 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. Successful candidates through this exam will gain admission to master&#8217;s courses in central universities including Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and others.</p>

Photos of Terrorists Involved in Pahalgam Attack Released; Pakistani Connection Revealed


<p><strong>Pahalgam Terror Attack:</strong> Following a horrifying terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, security agencies have released sketches of three terrorists believed responsible for the brutal murder of 28 tourists. This attack, which occurred on Tuesday, has sent shockwaves across Jammu and Kashmir and the entire nation. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sketches of Three Terrorists Released; High Alert in the Valley</h2>



<p>Of the seven terrorists involved in the attack, four directly participated, while three others provided backup. Security agencies have released sketches of the attackers, along with a group photograph, to expedite the search. A high alert has been declared in the valley, and search operations are underway throughout the region.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Terrorists Attacked with Deadly Weapons</h2>



<p>Preliminary investigations reveal that the terrorists used deadly weapons such as American M4 carbines and AK-47s. They arrived at the Baisaran meadow in disguise – some in kurta-pajamas and others in army-like uniforms. According to eyewitnesses, they first separated women and children, identified male tourists by asking for their identities, shot them at close range, and then opened indiscriminate fire. Over 50 cartridges have been recovered from the scene.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">One Identified as Local Overground Worker</h2>



<p>According to police sources, one of the attackers has been identified as Adil, a local overground worker (OGW) who recently returned from Pakistan. Locals had seen him in the area before the attack. The identification process for another terrorist is underway, with central agencies collaborating with local police.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, a senior team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrived at the scene on Wednesday. The NIA may soon formally take over the investigation of the attack. The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that the involvement of terrorists from Pakistan is being confirmed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Amit Shah Meets with Affected Families</h2>



<p>Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already arrived in Srinagar and met with the affected families to offer condolences. He stated that those responsible for this cowardly attack will not escape. The entire nation now awaits a retaliatory action amidst grief and outrage.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">JK Government Announces Compensation</h2>



<p>The Jammu and Kashmir CMO has announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹10 lakh to the families of the deceased, ₹2 lakh to those seriously injured, and ₹1 lakh to those with minor injuries. Arrangements have been made to transport the victims back to their homes.</p>

<p>Shubham married Aishanya on 12 February 2025. On 17 April, Shubham and Aishanya went to Jammu and Kashmir for a holiday. They were accompanied by his father, Sanjay Dwivedi, mother Seema Dwivedi, sister Aarati, brother-in-law Shubham Dubey, sister&#8217;s father-in-law Suresh Dubey (resident of Piarod), sister&#8217;s mother-in-law, and Shubham&#8217;s father-in-law Rajesh Pandey and his wife (residents of Yashoda Nagar), making a total of 11 people. They were scheduled to return home on 23 April, but a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon at 2:45 pm, a day earlier. The attack resulted in the death of 27 people, including Shubham, and left more than 20 injured.</p>

<p><strong>Pahalgam Terrorist Attack:</strong> Outrage has swept across India following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Amidst this, Dr. Praveen Togadia, founder and president of the International Hindu Council, has made a significant statement, urging Hindus across the nation to boycott tourism in Kashmir.</p>



<p>The terrorist attack in the Besran area of Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon has claimed the lives of 27 people, including two foreigners and two locals. This is the largest attack in the Kashmir Valley since the Pulwama attack of 2019.</p>



<p>In an exclusive interview with Patrika.com, Dr. Praveen Togadia stated that tourists were killed in Pahalgam after being asked about their religion. He asserted that this is a direct attack on Hindus in India. He urged Hindus to cease tourism in Kashmir and instead visit places like Mount Abu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kodaikanal, Darjeeling, Assam, Mahabaleshwar, and Goa. Togadia appealed for a boycott of Kashmir tourism by Hindus.</p>

<p>Security forces achieved a significant success in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, killing two terrorists in an encounter. The Indian Army stated that the encounter began on Wednesday when approximately two to three terrorists attempted to infiltrate from the general area of Sarjeevan at Uri Nala, Baramulla. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and other war-related materials were recovered from the terrorists. The operation is ongoing.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">ALH Dhruv Helicopters Resume Flights After Two Months</h2>



<p>Defence officials reported that Indian Army ALH Dhruv helicopters have been permitted to fly in and around Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, in light of ongoing counter-terrorism operations following the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. These helicopters had been grounded for over two months following an accident involving Indian Coast Guard officials in Porbandar.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shutdown Called in Several Areas Following Pahalgam Attack</h2>



<p>Political parties and social organisations have strongly condemned the attack and called for a shutdown and day of mourning. Following the attack, various organisations have called for a shutdown in Jammu. Additionally, shutdowns are also being observed in Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, and Ramban. A collective call for a bandh has also been made in Pulwama.</p>


<p>In Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, 2-3 terrorists attempted an infiltration. Targeting tourists, the terrorists are still attempting infiltration, though Indian soldiers have thwarted the attempt.</p>

<p>On Tuesday, terrorists targeted innocent people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in an act of hatred. The death toll from the indiscriminate firing of 50 rounds has now reached 27. This attack has raised concerns not only in India but also globally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Saudi Arabia, has altered his schedule and is returning to India shortly.</p>



<p>Among the deceased are two foreign tourists. Heavy security forces have been deployed in and around the incident site. A search operation is also underway. The administration has warned of strict action against the perpetrators. The Presidents of Russia and the USA have also expressed their condolences over the incident.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>PM Modi Returns to India</strong></h2>



<p>Following this barbaric terrorist attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India. PM Narendra Modi, taking a strong stance on the Pahalgam terrorist attack, stated, “Whoever is behind this attack will not be spared.” Following his return to India, a high-level meeting is expected to be held under PM Modi&#8217;s chairmanship to discuss eliminating terrorists. PM Modi will participate in the Cabinet&#8217;s security-related meeting (CCS Meeting) on Wednesday (23 April).</p>

<p>US President Donald Trump expressed grief and strongly condemned the deaths of tourists in the Pulwama terrorist attack. Trump wrote in his post, “Concerning news from Kashmir. <p>Russia has strongly objected to the Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov expressed condolences to the people and government of India over the terrorist attack on tourists in Pulwama. He tweeted, “Russia stands firmly with India.”</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two Foreign Nationals Killed in Terrorist Attack</h2>



<p>Two foreign nationals were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Reports suggest they were from Nepal and the UAE. Two to three terrorists fired more than 50 rounds. Shubham Dwivedi, son of Sanjay Dwivedi, a cement businessman from Chakeri, Shyam Nagar police station area in Kanpur, also died in the attack.</p>

<p>The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has heightened concerns. The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to commence on 3 July 2025, and Pahalgam houses the base camp. An eyewitness claimed that the terrorists asked for names before shooting. One eyewitness stated that a person approached and shot him, allegedly saying that he was not Muslim and therefore shot.</p>

A joint search operation has been launched by the Indian Army and Jammu &amp; Kashmir Police in the general area of Beasaran, Pahalgam, Anantnag. This was proven by 23-year-old visually impaired Manu Garg from Jaipur, who secured 91st rank in the UPSC final results. Manu Garg, a resident of Shastri Nagar, cleared the UPSC exam without knowing Braille. Manu says he doesn&#8217;t know Braille, but he used technology to clear the UPSC exam.</p>



<p>He explained that technology has become very advanced. He studied using software that read aloud to him. He prepared for the exam with the help of this technology. Manu said that he lost his eyesight in the ninth grade. After that, his mother gave him courage. His mother became the light of his eyes and propelled him forward.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Success in the second attempt</h2>



<p>Manu said that he achieved success in his second attempt. He failed in his first attempt, but this motivated him. He said that when he was four years old, he first heard the name IAS. From then on, he decided to clear the UPSC exam. After becoming an IAS officer, I can uplift society and also develop my personality. Whenever I felt discouraged, my family encouraged me.</p>



<p>Manu said that during his preparation, he didn&#8217;t track how many hours he studied. He would only get up after completing a topic, regardless of whether it took him until 2 am.</p>



<p>Manu is pursuing a PhD from JNU.</p>

<p>Saumya and Sumedha, two sisters from Unnao, have achieved success in the UPSC exam (Union Public Service Commission) in their first attempt. The elder sister, Saumya, secured 18th rank, while the younger sister, Sumedha, achieved 253rd rank. The results, announced on Tuesday, filled their family with pride. Both sisters originally hail from Ajaypur village, Asoha, but received their primary education in Delhi. Their father, Raghavendra Mishra, teaches at a Delhi Degree College, and their mother, Renu Mishra, is a homemaker.</p>



<p>The news of their success has brought immense joy to their village.</p>



<p>Saumya and Sumedha, daughters of Raghavendra Mishra, a resident of Ajaypur village, Asoha, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, currently reside in Delhi. <p>Saumya Mishra, the elder daughter, cleared the UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) exam in 2021 and is currently serving as an SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) in Madihan, Mirzapur. She continued her UPSC preparation alongside her job. Saumya mentioned receiving significant support from senior officers, which aided her success in the interview and main examination. She attributes her success to her parents and secured the 18th rank in her first attempt.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sumedha Mishra also Achieves Success in First Attempt</h2>



<p>Sumedha Mishra, the younger daughter, followed in her sister&#8217;s footsteps, achieving 253rd rank in her first attempt. Both sisters received their schooling from a government-run talent development school in Delhi and graduated with Honours in Geography from Kirorimal College, affiliated with Delhi University. Saumya achieved this in 2017, and Sumedha in 2020. Their success has brought immense joy to their family and brought honour to their nation.</p>

RiPant&#39;s Disappointment After Delhi&#39;s Second IPL Loss


<p><strong>LSG vs DC Highlights:</strong> The 40th match of IPL 2025 was played on Tuesday, 22 April, at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. Sunny’s ‘Jaat’ Smashes ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ in Tuesday Showdown


<p>Ratlam: The installation of Kavach 4.0, a modern safety system for Indian Railways, is underway, promising safer train travel by the end of this year. Installation on the crucial Delhi-Mumbai rail route, connecting the nation&#8217;s capital to its financial hub, is in its final stages. The railway has set a deadline of 25 December 2025 to complete Kavach installation on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah rail routes. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has personally inspected trials of Kavach 4.0 on these routes. This will enable trains to run at speeds of 160 kmph between Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah from January 2026.</p>



<p>In the Ratlam, Vadodara, and Mumbai railway divisions of Western Railway, loco trials have been successfully conducted after the installation of Kavach 4.0 across 405 km out of a total of 789 km. Sixty locos in Western Railway have been equipped with this technology. According to the railway&#8217;s deadline, this 1385-kilometre rail route will be equipped with Kavach&#8217;s safety features by the end of this year.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Speed, Reduced Accidents</h2>



<p>According to senior railway officials, the fully indigenous Kavach 4.0 safety system has the capability to prevent train collisions and enhance safety. This technology will not only help prevent rail accidents but will also prove effective in increasing train speeds and preventing signal passing at danger situations. A key feature of Kavach is its ability to detect and prevent head-on, rear-end, and side collisions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Assistance for Loco Pilots</h2>



<p>This system will also assist loco pilots in operating trains even in foggy and low-visibility conditions. Installation work is progressing rapidly on two important rail routes in the country. Initially, the railway had set a deadline of March 2025, but this has now been extended to 25 December 2025.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trains to Run at 160 kmph</h2>



<p>By the end of this year, passengers on the Delhi-Mumbai rail route will be able to travel comfortably and quickly under the safety of Kavach 4.0. Under Mission Raftaar, passenger trains on this route will also be able to run at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour.</p>
