<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bullet Train to Boost Tourism and Trade</h2>



<p>Railway experts say that the bullet train will boost both tourism and trade. A bullet train on the 886-kilometre route from Ahmedabad to Delhi via Jaipur has been proposed, and work on the ground is now reportedly commencing. The survey to assess the feasibility of this route began in February 2020 and has been completed. The report has been submitted to the central government.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Seven Rajasthan Stations, Including Jaipur, Included</h2>



<p>The survey report identified a total of 13 proposed stations. This includes seven stations in Rajasthan, including Jaipur. In addition, three stations in Gujarat, two in Haryana, and one in Delhi are included. When contacted, officials from the High Speed Rail Corporation did not provide a clear response.</p>

<p>Kherwara (Dungarpur), Udaipur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Behror (Alwar). Rewari-Manesar (Haryana) and Dwarka Sector-1 (Delhi) are also proposed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bullet Train Speed</h2>



<p>The train will have a speed of 320 to 350 km per hour. The journey from Ahmedabad to Delhi will be completed in 4 hours. The target is to complete the project by 2031. Initially, a satellite survey was conducted, followed by a remote sensing survey using LiDAR technology. This process was completed within a year.</p>

<p><strong>Amit Shah Jaipur Visit:</strong> Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jaipur on Thursday. After landing at Jaipur airport around 12:15 pm, he was scheduled to depart for the venue in Dadiya. Due to inclement weather, making helicopter travel impossible, Shah travelled to Dadiya by road. During this visit, he launched several schemes related to cooperation and youth empowerment.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Flags off Police Vehicles</h2>



<p>At the event in Dadiya, Amit Shah flagged off 100 new vehicles for the Rajasthan Police. Following this, he observed an exhibition of cooperative products. Shah distributed appointment letters to 8,000 young people who secured government jobs. The Department of Administrative Reforms had set up two stalls at the venue for this purpose.</p>



<p>On this occasion, he also virtually inaugurated 24 grain warehouses with a capacity of 500 metric tonnes each and 64 millet centres. Simultaneously, loans amounting to ₹12 crore were distributed to 1,400 cattle herders under the Gopal Credit Card scheme.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rajasthan&#8217;s Achievements in the Cooperative Sector</h2>



<p>Shah began his address with a resounding “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and paid homage to the land of Rajasthan. Shah stated that cooperatives have significantly contributed to the nation&#8217;s development over the past 100 years, and the next 100 years will be dedicated to their growth. During this time, Shah mentioned that efforts are underway to strengthen the rural economy and empower farmers through cooperatives.</p>



<p>Amit Shah commended Rajasthan&#8217;s agricultural achievements, highlighting the state&#8217;s leading role in the production of groundnuts, sorghum, chickpeas, and oilseeds. He also praised the research initiated on camel milk, aimed at ensuring the conservation of camels. Shah stated that this step will guarantee the survival of camels in the future.</p>



<p>The Union Minister mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a separate ministry to promote cooperatives, under which numerous initiatives are underway. Cooperative institutions contribute 20 percent to the procurement of rice and wheat in the country. Shah revealed that the goal is to establish two lakh new Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) nationwide, of which 40,000 have already been created. The computerisation of all PACS is complete.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Praises CM Bhajanlal</h2>



<p>He stated that new committees have been formed for seed development and other tasks. Shah lauded Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for the work done in the cooperative sector in Rajasthan. He mentioned initiatives like the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative, the reduction in VAT on petrol and diesel, and the decrease in the prices of cooking gas cylinders. Shah specifically highlighted Rajasthan&#8217;s contribution to the cooperative sector and stated that the CM has done commendable work in strengthening cooperatives in a short time.</p>



<p>Shah expressed confidence that the central and Rajasthan governments will jointly empower the state&#8217;s cooperative movement further. He said that their goal is for Rajasthan to become number one in the country in the cooperative sector by 2047. The Indian government and the Rajasthan government will work together to achieve this.</p>



<p>He stated that the Bhajan Lal government had performed a significant service by forming an SIT on paper leaks. He said that the formation of the SIT sent a strong message to the paper leak mafia. This will greatly benefit the youth.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mentions Operation Sindoor</h2>



<p>Amit Shah, targeting the Congress regime, said that during that time, the country struggled with terrorist attacks. In contrast, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has not only strengthened its security but has also realised the dream of a prosperous and developed nation. Citing the recent Operation Sindoor as an example, he said that PM Modi has repeatedly given a strong response to Pakistan and conveyed India&#8217;s strength to the world.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, in his address, stated that his government, as a double-engine government, is working for the poor and the youth. He explained that interest-free loans of up to ₹1 lakh are being provided under the Gopalak Yojana, and more than ₹300 crore in interest-free loans have been distributed so far.</p>



<p>The Chief Minister said that an SIT has been formed to take strict action on paper leak cases. Also, more than 5,000 young people have been given government jobs in the recent past, and advertisements are being issued for recruitment to 28,000 positions. The target is to provide government jobs to four lakh young people in the next five years.</p>



<p>It is worth mentioning that the United Nations General Assembly has declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives. Under this, the central government has assigned 54 tasks to the states in the field of cooperation. The cooperative conference in Rajasthan is a significant step in this direction.</p>

<p>Speaking to the media on Wednesday, a meteorologist stated that currently, indications suggest a monsoon trough persists from northwest Rajasthan to southwest Bihar. Due to its influence, rainfall is likely in Telangana during the next two to three days.</p>



<p>They further stated that a yellow alert has been issued for Telangana, with the possibility of heavy rain in several areas. They added that light to moderate rainfall is expected in many parts of the state over the next two to three days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Rainfall Activity in Hyderabad</h2>



<p>Specifically for Hyderabad, the meteorologist indicated that rainfall activity is expected to increase from Thursday. They further stated that light drizzle is likely in Hyderabad today, but rainfall activity will increase from tomorrow.</p>

<p>Tremors were felt in Rohtak district, Haryana, on Thursday morning. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported the earthquake&#8217;s magnitude as 3.3 on the Richter scale.</p>



<p>The quake struck at 12:46 AM, originating at a depth of 10 kilometres. While there have been no reports of casualties or property damage so far, authorities are closely monitoring the situation. It is noteworthy that this area has experienced tremors in the past.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fourth Earthquake in Eight Days</h2>



<p>This is the fourth significant earthquake in Haryana in the last eight days. On 11 July, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake hit Jhajjar district, followed by a more powerful 4.4 magnitude quake in the same region just hours later.</p>



<p>These earthquakes were also widely felt in Delhi-NCR, causing widespread anxiety among residents. Social media and alert apps saw a surge in posts related to the events.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Delhi-NCR Residents Shaken</h2>



<p>Some described the tremor as the National Capital Region&#8217;s &#8216;longest earthquake&#8217;. Seismic records indicate that at least four earthquakes with a magnitude of over 2.5 have occurred within a 40-kilometre radius of Rohtak since 10 July.</p>



<p>Most earthquakes in this region range between 2.0 and 4.5 magnitude. Seismologists warn that these are indicative of increasing tectonic stress.</p>



<p>For instance, the 11 July earthquake likely originated near MDF, suggesting active fault movement. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and prepared.</p>

<p>An Indigo flight made an emergency landing in Mumbai. The Delhi-Goa flight, scheduled for Wednesday at 8 PM, was diverted to Mumbai Airport. An engine malfunction was reported on the Indigo Airbus A320NEO (VT-IJB). While twin-engine jets can land safely on one engine, the pilot, as a precaution, landed the aircraft safely in Mumbai.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Engine Failure on Board</h2>



<p>According to reports, one of the aircraft&#8217;s engines failed, leading to the decision to divert it to Mumbai. A full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport. The aircraft landed safely at Mumbai Airport at 9:52 PM. Indigo stated in a press release that a technical malfunction was detected in the engine during the flight. Following procedures, the aircraft was diverted and landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai. After necessary checks, the aircraft will be operational again. An alternative aircraft has been arranged for the passengers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pilot Sent &#8216;Pan Pan Pan&#8217; Message</h2>



<p>Sources say the pilot sent a ‘Pan Pan Pan’ message to Mumbai ATC due to the engine malfunction. This is an urgent message, not indicating a life-threatening emergency.</p>



<p>Earlier on Sunday, a SpiceJet flight from Pune to Delhi had to be cancelled due to a technical malfunction after reaching the runway for takeoff. Passengers on board claimed the flight departed for its destination after a nine-hour delay due to a technical malfunction.</p>


<p>A Delhi-bound Goa flight made an emergency landing in Mumbai after a technical malfunction was reported in one of its engines. The pilot sent a &#8216;PAN PAN PAN&#8217; distress signal to Air Traffic Control (ATC).</p>

<p><strong>India Leads Internet Data Usage:</strong> India has jumped 93 places in the global ranking of average internet speed over the past two years, reaching 26th position. </p>



<p>However, when it comes to global data usage, India remains the world&#8217;s number one country. According to the Ericsson Mobility Report, India has a monthly per capita data consumption of 32 GB, the highest globally. </p>



<p>In comparison, this figure stands at 29 GB in China and 22 GB in the USA. According to some other sources, in 2024, the average data consumption in India was 24.6 GB per user, significantly higher than the global average of 19 GB.</p>



<p>Ookla&#8217;s internet speed dataset shows that India&#8217;s median download speed was 136.53 Mbps during April-June 2025. This represents a 93-point improvement in India&#8217;s ranking from 119th position in September 2022, when the average internet speed was 13.87 Mbps. The report states that India is rapidly closing the gap in internet speed with other major global markets. The main reason for this is the rapid expansion of 5G coverage in the country.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">China Ahead of the US in Internet Speed</h2>



<p>Compared to other large countries, the USA holds the 13th global ranking with a speed of 176.75 Mbps, while China ranks 8th with 207.98 Mbps. The report mentions that the expansion of the 5G network in India is one of the fastest internet speed expansions in the world.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">5G Towers Account for 57% in India</h2>



<p>According to media reports, 5G towers now constitute 57% of the total telecommunication towers in India. By March 2025, India&#8217;s 5G subscriber base reached 3.26 million, representing 28% of total wireless connections.</p>

<p><strong>BHU UG Admission 2025:</strong> The admission process for undergraduate (UG) courses at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has begun. Admission to BA, BCom, BSc, and other UG courses will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scores. Interested candidates can apply online through BHU&#8217;s official website, <a href="bhu.ac.in">bhu.ac.in</a> or <a href="bhucuet.samarth.edu.in">bhucuet.samarth.edu.in</a>, until 11:59 PM on 31 July 2025. The application process will close after the deadline.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BHU UG Admission 2025: Who Can Apply?</h2>



<p>All candidates who have successfully appeared for the CUET UG 2025 exam are eligible to apply for admission to BHU. Over 1.3 million candidates will have the opportunity to participate in this process. The application window will remain open for 15 days, during which students from across the country can apply. The application fee is ₹500 for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates and ₹250 for SC/ST/PWD category candidates.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BHU: A Total of 415 Courses and 1553 Subject Groups</h2>



<p>This year, BHU&#8217;s UG courses will offer admissions across 415 courses and 1553 subject groups. To streamline and enhance the transparency of the admission process, the university has implemented the CAP UG 2025 (Combined Allotment Programme). According to the admission coordinator, Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya, Bachelor of Arts (BA) alone offers over 282 subject groups, while admissions are also available for courses like BSc, BCom, BFA, BPA, and Agriculture. Including the main campus, the South Campus, the Women&#8217;s College, and affiliated colleges, the total number of courses offered amounts to 1553.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BHU Admission: Over 5000 PG Seats Filled in the First Phase</h2>



<p>The first phase of seat allocation for postgraduate (PG) courses is complete. Over 5000 candidates have locked their seats in this phase. Approximately 2500 PG seats remain, for which the second phase will commence on 18 July.</p>

<p>The atmosphere in Rajasthan&#8217;s colleges and universities is heating up with admissions and student union elections. Uncertainty remains about whether elections will be held this time. However, colleges and universities are collecting student union election fees during admissions. Students in Rajasthan&#8217;s 665 government colleges and 13 state universities are being charged student union election fees again this year. If the government doesn&#8217;t make a decision regarding the elections, then, like the previous two sessions, the election fee will be collected but will not be refunded.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Collection of ₹50 to ₹100</h2>



<p>In Rajasthan University and other state universities and colleges, students are charged ₹50 to ₹100 during admission. Based on this, crores of rupees are being collected across Rajasthan in the name of student union elections. This fee is for one session. Similar collections were made in the previous two sessions, but the fee was not returned even though the elections did not take place.</p>

<p>In colleges and universities, the Development Committee determines all types of institutional fees. This includes student union elections, parking, library, and other fees. The committee meeting is held in advance, and decisions are made.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Budget Used for Election Expenses and Other Items</h2>



<p>Student leader Shubham Rewar says that the university uses this fee to cover expenses incurred in student union elections. However, if elections do not take place, it is used for other purposes. In Rajasthan University, more than 25,000 students are studying, and a fee of ₹100 was collected from them.</p>

<p>The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, met on Wednesday and approved the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanay Krishi Yojana, as announced in the 2025-26 budget.</p>



<p>The scheme primarily aims to enhance agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, and encourage sustainable agricultural practices. Further objectives include increasing post-harvest storage capacity, improving irrigation facilities, and facilitating better credit availability.</p>



<p>Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, speaking after the weekly Cabinet meeting, stated that the programme will benefit 1.7 crore farmers. With a commencement date of 2025-26, an annual financial outlay of ₹24,000 crore is earmarked for at least six years.</p>



<p>Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had proposed on February 1st that the government, in partnership with states, would launch the ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanay Krishi Yojana’. This scheme will be implemented in collaboration with 36 existing schemes across 11 departments, other state schemes, and the private sector.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Selection of 100 Districts</h2>



<p>One hundred districts will be identified based on three key indicators: low productivity, low cropping intensity, and low credit disbursement. At least one district will be selected from each state.</p>



<p>District, state, and national-level committees will be formed to monitor the scheme. The District Dhan Dhanaya Committee, which will include farmer members, will finalise the scheme at the district level.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monitoring the Scheme</h2>



<p>In each Dhan Dhanaya district, the scheme&#8217;s progress will be monitored monthly via a dashboard tracking 177 key performance indicators (KPIs). NITI Aayog will also review and provide guidance on district plans. Furthermore, a designated central nodal officer for each district will regularly review the scheme&#8217;s implementation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Production Expected</h2>



<p>The scheme is expected to boost crop production, add value to the agriculture and allied sectors, generate local livelihoods, and thus achieve self-reliance. As indicators improve in these 100 districts, national indicators are also projected to rise.</p>

<p>There has been a significant increase in plane and helicopter crashes in recent months. Incidents of planes or helicopters crashing are reported almost daily, somewhere in the world. A similar incident has now occurred in Russia. An Mi-8 (Mi-8) helicopter operated by private aviation company APK Vzlet LLC (APK Vzlet LLC) was flying from Okhotsk (Охотск) to Magdan (Магадан) on Monday when it disappeared in the Khabarovsk (Хабаровск) region. An update on this missing helicopter has now emerged.</p>

Preliminary reports indicated that the crew failed to make contact at the scheduled time, and the emergency locator beacon did not activate, leading to the helicopter being reported missing. Now that the crash has been confirmed, the Ministry of Emergency Situations&#8217; rescue teams, along with investigators, will examine the crash site and wreckage. They will also search for the flight recorder to determine the cause of the accident.</p>

<p>The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the admit cards for the Assistant Engineer (AE) recruitment examination 2025. Candidates who applied for this examination can now download their admit cards from the commission&#8217;s official website. The commission has clarified that admit cards are only available online and will not be sent to any candidate by post or any other means.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Exam Date and Location</h2>



<p>The Assistant Engineer recruitment examination will be held on 17, 18 and 19 July 2025. This examination will be held at designated centres in major cities of the state, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur. All candidates are advised to reach the centre at least two hours before the start of the examination to ensure timely entry.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Selection Process</h2>



<p>A total of 1024 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment process. The selection will be in two stages: a written examination followed by an interview. Candidates who successfully pass the written examination will be called for an interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in both the written examination and the interview. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official BPSC website for more information and guidelines related to the examination.</p>

<p>सिलीसेढ़ क्षेत्र में गुरुवार को झमाझम बरसात के बाद गरवाजी पर्यटन स्थल स्थित झरने में जोरदार पानी की आवक देखने को मिली। रूपारेल नदी में भी एक फीट तक पानी का बहाव होता रहा। बरसात के बाद किसानों के चेहरे खिल गए।<br />
क्षेत्र के रतीराम गुर्जर आदि ने बताया कि सुबह सिलीसेढ़ क्षेत्र में करीब डेड घंटे झमाझम बरसात के बाद नदी में पानी आ गया। गरवाजी धाम पर पहाड़ों से गिरने वाले झरने में भी जोरदार पानी की आवक देखी गई, जिसके कारण आसपास के क्षेत्र में भूजल स्तर भी बढ़ेगा और किसानों को खेती में फायदा होगा। यह पानी सिलीसेढ़ झील में जाने से झील का पानी और बढ़ जाएगा। गत वर्ष भी सिलीसेढ़ झील की उपरा चल गई थी। इस बार भी उम्मीद हैं कि अच्छी बरसात होगी तो जल्दी ही सिलीसेढ़ झील की उपरा चल सकेगी। सिलीसेढ़ झील की भराव क्षमता 29 फीट है। </p>
