Budget 2025: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament today. This is the second full budget of the Modi government&#8217;s third term and Ms Sitharaman&#8217;s eighth budget. In the previous Union Budget 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman paid special attention to farmers. Several steps were taken to increase farmers&#8217; income. The budget allocated ₹1.52 lakh crore for farmers and the agricultural sector. This fund was to be used for schemes related to agriculture and allied sectors. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has focused this budget on achieving the goal of making India a &#8220;developed India&#8221; and described this budget as a step towards accelerating development. She also emphasized that India&#8217;s economy has become the fastest-growing economy globally, reflecting the country&#8217;s increasing economic strength.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Tax Slab: Understand how much tax you will have to pay</h2>



The Finance Minister stated – My tax proposals are driven by a spirit of boosting ease of doing business, encouraging voluntary compliance, and reducing compliance burden. The objectives of these proposals include personal income tax reforms with a special focus on the middle class, rationalising TDS and TCS to reduce hardships, and boosting employment and investment.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Seven types of tariffs abolished</h2>



The government aims to simplify and streamline the customs structure to promote domestic manufacturing, value addition, and exports. This rationalisation is part of a comprehensive review of the customs tariff structure announced in the July 2024 budget.



In addition to the seven rates removed in the 2023-24 budget, Budget 2025 will see seven more tariff rates removed, leaving only eight tariff rates, including a zero rate. This step is to address duty inversion and ease trade.



The government has also proposed that more than one cess or surcharge will not be levied. Simultaneously, 82 tariff lines will be exempted from the social welfare surcharge, reducing the tax burden on specific goods.



These changes will bring greater transparency and stability to trade and help make India&#8217;s manufacturing sector more competitive.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Budget Announcements for Bihar</h2>



Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed the establishment of a Makhana Board in Bihar in her budget speech today. Makhana (foxnuts), a nutritious food, is extensively produced and consumed in Bihar. She mentioned that Makhana producers have greatly benefited under the &#8216;One District One Product&#8217; scheme. Furthermore, the Makhana Research Centre has been granted national institute status, and Makhana has also received GI tagging.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Farmer Budget 2025: Big announcement for farmers</h2>



The Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaan Krishi Yojana will promote irrigation and cover 100 districts. This programme will help 1.7 crore farmers in building rural prosperity and will be launched in partnership with states. It aims to create ample opportunities in rural areas. It will improve the availability of short-term and long-term credit.



Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the government will launch a 6-year mission for self-reliance in pulses and a comprehensive programme for vegetables and fruits will be launched. The board will focus on Arhar, Masoor and Urad pulses. In addition, a Makhana board will be established in Bihar. The scheme aims to provide ample opportunities for rural areas so that migration is a choice, not a necessity. The Finance Minister said that a national mission on high-yielding seeds will be launched. Additionally, a five-year mission for cotton productivity will be launched.



Farmers will receive short-term loan facilities from Kisan Credit Cards, for which the loan limit will be increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Furthermore, the government will bring an enabling framework for sustainable exploitation of fisheries from Indian Exclusive Economic Zones and high seas, paying special attention to the Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep archipelagoes, Nirmala Sitharaman said.

Union Budget 2025: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget on 1 February. This budget offers significant benefits to the people of Uttar Pradesh. This includes not only students but also farmers, Dalit women, and the general public. 



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Uttar Pradesh Receives a Substantial Budget Allocation</h2>



The Union Budget 2025 has allocated a total of ₹1.5 lakh crore for the development of states.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Welfare Scheme for Dalit Women</h2>



Union Budget 2025 includes schemes for the welfare of Dalit women. It is noteworthy that Uttar Pradesh has the largest Dalit population in India. The state&#8217;s total population is approximately 25 crore, encompassing 75 districts. Approximately 22% of the population belongs to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increased Seats in ITIs</h2>



The Finance Minister announced an increase in the number of seats in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of ITIs in the country, with a total of 3,204 ITIs, including 305 government and 2,899 private institutions. These institutes offer training in over 68 trades.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) Scheme</h2>



Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the third phase of the UDAN scheme, which will include 120 new cities. This move will allow approximately 4 crore passengers to benefit from affordable air travel. Uttar Pradesh has 24 small airports under this scheme, including prominent ones in Kanpur, Kushinagar, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, Shravasti, and Varanasi.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Increase in Kisan Credit Card Scheme Limit</h2>



Over 7 crore farmers nationwide, including those involved in livestock and aquaculture, will now be able to access higher loan amounts through the Kisan Credit Card scheme. Under the new scheme, the loan limit has been increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. With over 2.25 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh, this state will benefit the most from this scheme.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Budget Allocation for AI Education</h2>



Nirmala Sitharaman made several key announcements for students in the budget. She stated that 6,500 new seats will be added in IITs and 3 AI centres will be opened. Additionally, there will be a 7,500-seat increase in medical education over the next 5 years.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Connecting Schools to the Internet</h2>



A decision has been made to connect primary and secondary schools to the internet. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of primary and secondary schools, with a total of 4.5 lakh basic schools.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Connecting Primary Health Centres to the Internet</h2>



Uttar Pradesh has 2,923 primary health centres, the highest in the country. All these centres will now be connected to the internet, providing accessible, affordable, and available healthcare services to the people.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Benefits for Leather Industry Workers</h2>



A new incentive scheme has been launched for the footwear and leather sector, directly benefiting workers in major leather cities like Kanpur and Agra. The leather industry is currently facing a severe crisis due to a decline in exports. This scheme aims to create 22 lakh new jobs, achieve a turnover of ₹4 lakh crore, and achieve exports of ₹1.1 lakh crore.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Insurance Scheme for Gig Workers</h2>



The Union Budget announced a new insurance scheme for one crore gig workers (such as delivery agents, cab drivers, etc.) across the country. Under this scheme, those registering on the E-shram Portal will receive health coverage and social security benefits like PF.

According to the Meteorological Department, a weak western disturbance will have a partial effect on the state until Sunday. Due to its effect, the temperature is likely to increase by one to two degrees in 48 hours.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Dungarpur Hottest in the State</h2>



The weather in the state remained mostly dry in the last 24 hours (Friday). The weather was warm during the day and cold at night. Strong sunshine during the day gave a feeling of warmth, while cold winds at night increased the cold. The highest temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius in Dungarpur and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius in Mount Abu. Jaipur&#8217;s maximum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 12 degrees Celsius.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">This is the ICC rule</h2>



ICC rule 1.2.7.3 on concussion replacements states that the ICC match referee may generally approve a concussion replacement request if the replacement is a like-for-like player, so that his inclusion will not give his team an unfair advantage in the remainder of the match. Rule 1.2.7.7 also states that the match referee&#8217;s decision regarding any concussion replacement request shall be final and no team shall have the right of appeal.

Jaipur: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government late Friday night transferred 53 IAS and 113 RAS officers. Following the recent abolition of three divisions and nine districts, IAS officers posted in these districts had been awaiting posting orders. Additionally, several departments were operating with additional workloads.

Scary Discovery: Microplastics Found in Premature Babies

Microplastics and nanoplastics: Microplastics and nanoplastics are extremely dangerous to our health. But how dangerous can they be when they start affecting children? Recent research by a team of doctors in the USA has revealed shocking findings. This research found high concentrations of microplastics and nanoplastics in the placentas of prematurely born infants.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Invisible to the Naked Eye: Microplastics and Nanoplastics</h2>



Microplastics and nanoplastics are so light that they are invisible to the naked eye. Microplastics are less than 5 millimetres in size, while nanoplastics are measured in billionths of a metre. These are widely present in the environment. Previous research indicates that the use of plastics is generally harmful to both the environment and humans.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of Plastic Accumulation in the Placenta During Pregnancy</h2>



A team of scientists from Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children&#8217;s Hospital, and the University of New Mexico found that the level of microplastics and nanoplastics in the placentas of prematurely born babies was significantly higher. This level was far higher than previously measured levels in human blood. This suggests that plastic accumulation in the placenta is likely during pregnancy, and the risk and accumulation are higher in cases of premature birth.



According to lead author Enrico R. Barrozo, the finding of high concentrations in the placentas of prematurely born babies was surprising, as if it were a result of the duration of pregnancy, the expectation would be the opposite. The team says that placentas of prematurely born infants contain more microplastics and nanoplastics compared to those born at term.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Annual Meeting of the SMFM</h2>



This study, part of the growing evidence against microplastics and nanoplastics, suggests potential health risks ranging from heart disease to stroke. The team says it highlights the real risk of plastic exposure to human health and disease. This study is to be presented at the annual meeting of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine currently underway in Colorado, USA.

1. Mamta did not follow the rules of the Kinnar Akhada. According to the rules, she was supposed to wear a Vaijanti Mala, but she was wearing a Rudraksha Mala. 2. According to the rules, Mamta&#8217;s head should have been shaved before taking renunciation. However, this did not happen.



3. The actress was made a Mahamandaleshwar without renunciation. The Kinnar Akhada had objections to this from the beginning.

Eleven years after the divorce, Hrithik&#8217;s father, Rakesh Roshan, has revealed whose fault it was. He spoke about it in an interview with a YouTuber. Rakesh said, &#8220;Whatever happened, happened between the couple. For me, Sussanne is Sussanne. They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had misunderstandings, and they had to resolve it. For us, she came into our home, and she is still a member of the family.&#8221;

Rakesh Roshan also spoke about his relationship with Hrithik and his daughter, Sunaina. He revealed that earlier, Hrithik and Sunaina didn&#8217;t openly communicate with him, but now they are good friends. Rakesh said that he is a very disciplined person, and perhaps that&#8217;s why his children never openly talked to him. But that&#8217;s not the case anymore.

IND vs ENG 4th T20: India and England will lock horns in the fourth match of the five-match T20 series today at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Both teams have previously clashed at this venue, with the Men in Blue emerging victorious. England lost 3 out of their last 5 matches, while India lost only one in their last 5 matches. Having won the first two matches of this series, the Indian team holds a 2-1 lead and will aim to clinch the series in Pune. On the other hand, England, coming off a win in the last encounter, will look to avoid getting entangled in the web of Indian spinners.



Although England won the previous match, Varun Chakravarthy was named Player of the Match. All eyes will be on him in the fourth match, especially from the English batsmen, who have fallen prey to him every 8th ball in this series. In the 3 matches of this series, Varun has bowled 12 overs and taken 10 wickets. This means he takes a wicket every 8th ball. He has conceded runs at an economy of approximately 7 and takes a wicket every 9 runs. The Englishmen will thus try to counter his spin. For Team India to secure a win, Varun will need to weave his spin magic in Pune as well.



Varun Chakravarthy has taken the most wickets in this series with 10, followed by Axar Patel with 5. Brydon Carse, Hardik Pandya, and Jofra Archer have also taken 5 wickets each in this series. CSIR UGC NET December 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the CSIR UGC NET December 2024 examination. The exam will be held between 28 February and 2 March 2024. The released schedule can be downloaded from the official website, <a href="csirnet.nta.ac.in">csirnet.nta.ac.in</a>. Candidates will have the option to choose their preferred language, Hindi or English, during the application process. Successful candidates will be eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), can apply for Assistant Professor positions, and will be eligible for PhD admission.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CSIR UGC NET December 2024: Computer-Based Test</h2>



This examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exam will be three hours long.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CSIR UGC NET: Admit Card and City Intimation Slip</h2>
