Jaipur Fire Tragedy: 'Truck Driver's Remains Brought to Hospital in a Bundle' – The Video Leaves a Deep Impact


<p>A horrific fire incident in Jaipur&#8217;s Bhankrota on Friday morning has sent shockwaves across the nation. The images emerging from the scene and the SMS Hospital mortuary are deeply disturbing, offering a glimpse into the scale of the tragedy. The remains of the driver were so severely damaged that they could only be collected and placed in a small bundle, transported in an ambulance, and subsequently taken to the SMS Hospital mortuary.</p>



<p>The most harrowing sight was the remains of the truck driver whose vehicle collided with the tanker, igniting the devastating blaze. The driver&#8217;s remains were so fragmented that they were contained within a sheet and transported to the hospital in an ambulance.</p>

<p>The Bhankrota fire, according to reports, occurred around 5:45 am. Approximately 40 vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and pickup trucks, were completely destroyed in the blaze. Firefighters and numerous fire engines eventually brought the fire under control.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CCTV Footage Reveals the Cause</h2>



<p>CCTV footage from the scene shows an LPG tanker, travelling from Ajmer to Jaipur, attempting a U-turn in front of DPS school in Bhankrota. A truck approaching from the Jaipur side collided with the tanker&#8217;s nozzle, releasing approximately 18 tonnes of gas into the air, creating a 200-metre gas chamber. A fire and cloud of smoke immediately followed, culminating in a powerful explosion that spread the fire to nearby vehicles.</p>

<p>The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:44 am in front of Delhi Public School, transformed the area into a raging inferno. Over 40 vehicles were engulfed in flames. The intensity of the blast prevented many from escaping. A sleeper bus travelling behind the tanker and a nearby pipe factory were also destroyed.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Six Patients Remain on Ventilators</h2>



<p>Dr. Sushil Bhatti, Superintendent of SMS Hospital, reported that after an initial influx of two or three patients, a large number arrived suddenly. Four had already succumbed to their injuries. Currently, 42 patients have been admitted, with a total of 9 deaths. 10 to 12 patients have sustained over 60% burns, and six remain on ventilators.</p>



<p>Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, Principal of SMS Medical College, confirmed 9 deaths, one of which occurred at Jaypuriya Hospital. He stated that 43 individuals were brought to the hospital, 15 with over 50% burns. 28 patients are currently undergoing treatment.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CM Announces Compensation</h2>



<p>Following Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced compensation for the victims. The government will provide ₹500,000 to the families of the deceased and ₹100,000 to the injured. Authorities have been instructed to ensure prompt and adequate medical treatment for the injured.</p>

<p><strong>Om Prakash Chautala Death:</strong> Former Chief Minister of Haryana and INLD supremo, Om Prakash Chautala, passed away on Friday. He breathed his last at his residence in Gurugram at the age of 89. His demise has been mourned by several prominent leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Home Minister Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi, and Arvind Kejriwal.</p>



<p>Chautala, son of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal, served as the Chief Minister of Haryana four times but completed a full five-year term only once.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Political Career Began in 1968</h2>



<p>Om Prakash Chautala started his political career in 1968. He contested his first election from his father&#8217;s traditional seat, Ellenabad, but faced defeat. Alleging electoral irregularities, he appealed to the High Court. Two years later, in 1970, he won the by-election from the same seat and entered the state assembly for the first time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Resigned as CM Three Times in 15 Months</h2>



<p>Chautala first became the Chief Minister of Haryana in December 1989. To retain his position, he contested a by-election from his father&#8217;s Mahendragarh seat. His first term lasted only five and a half months, after which Banarsi Das Gupta took over as Chief Minister. After a short time, Om Prakash Chautala won from the Dabwali seat and returned to the assembly. Banarsi Das Gupta was removed from the CM post after 51 days, leading to Chautala&#8217;s second term. However, V.P. Singh wanted him to step down while the Mahendragarh case was ongoing, resulting in his resignation after only five days. Master Hukam Singh then became the Chief Minister.</p>



<p>In November 1990, following the controversy surrounding the Ram Mandir Rath Yatra, V.P. Singh&#8217;s government fell, and Chandra Shekhar took over as Prime Minister. Four months later, in March 1991, Devi Lal appointed Om Prakash Chautala as Chief Minister for the third time. This decision angered some party MLAs, who subsequently left the party, leading to the government&#8217;s collapse within 15 days. Within 15 months, Chautala had resigned from the CM post for the third time.</p>

<p>Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar fell ill on Friday. Consequently, all of his pre-scheduled programmes for today have been cancelled. He will also not be participating in the ongoing Global Investors Summit – Bihar Business Connect 2024 in Patna. <p>Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to begin his &#8216;Pragati Yatra&#8217; on 22 December. The journey will commence from West Champaran district on 23 December. In the first phase, CM Nitish will visit six districts until 28 December.</p>

<p><strong>CAT 2024 Result Out:</strong> The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released the results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. This year, 14 students achieved a perfect 100 percentile. Candidates can check their results and download their scorecards from the official website. A total of 2.93 lakh students appeared for the exam, which was conducted on 24 November in three shifts.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">14 Candidates Achieve 100 Percentile</h2>



<p>Fourteen candidates achieved a perfect 100 percentile in the CAT this year. Thirteen of these candidates have an engineering background, while one is from a non-engineering background. Among the 29 candidates who scored 99.99 percentile, 25 have engineering backgrounds and four are from non-engineering backgrounds. Of the 30 candidates who achieved 99.98 percentile, 20 have engineering backgrounds and 10 are from non-engineering backgrounds.</p>

<p>An important update has been released regarding the UGC NET December 2024 exam. The NTA (National Testing Agency) has announced the exam dates for the UGC NET December 2024. <p>According to the timetable released by the NTA, the UGC NET 2024 exam for the December session will commence on 3 January 2025.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">UGC NET 2024 Exam Schedule</h2>



<p>The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be held from 3 January 2025 to 16 January 2025. Exams for a total of 85 subjects will be conducted during this period. The exams will be held daily in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exam will be conducted entirely online.</p>

Air pollution: rising sore throats and respiratory irritation reveal health crisis


<p><strong>Throat Irritation and Sore Throat:</strong> Air pollution levels have drastically increased in Delhi-NCR and other major cities, severely impacting not only the eyes but also the ears, nose, and throat. A recent survey confirms that pollution is causing various health issues, with ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) problems being prominent.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Air Pollution and Health Issues</h2>



<p>A Pristine Care survey involving 56,176 individuals across cities like Delhi, Meerut, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, and Kanpur revealed that 55% reported ear, nose, and throat problems during pollution episodes. Of these, 38% complained of eye irritation and inflammation due to pollution. Furthermore, there&#8217;s a rise in throat irritation, nasal burning, and earaches.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Long-Term Effects of Pollution</h2>



<p>The survey highlighted the concerning rise in ENT issues due to pollution. Specifically, pollution can irritate the nasal and ear mucous membranes, potentially leading to chronic problems over time. Experts believe this is particularly dangerous for children due to their sensitive developing bodies.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Public Health Neglect</h2>



<p>Worryingly, 68% of those affected did not consult healthcare professionals. This demonstrates a casual attitude towards pollution&#8217;s effects and a tendency to ignore health problems. However, the survey also showed that most people are aware of and concerned about the long-term effects of pollution.</p>

<p>Dr. Dheerendra Singh, ENT surgeon at Pristine Care, stated, “Hazardous air quality is a concern for everyone&#8217;s health, and measures should be taken, especially to protect children.
