
<p><strong>HDFC Bank Fraud:</strong> A major fraud case has come to light at an HDFC Bank branch in Betul district, Madhya Pradesh. </p>



<p>Account holders have levelled serious allegations against bank employees, claiming that they created forged documents and embezzled lakhs of rupees from their accounts. They allege that the embezzled funds were used for IPL betting. </p>



<p>More than six account holders have so far filed complaints regarding embezzlement from their accounts. It is alleged that some bank employees embezzled lakhs of rupees through various means, including fake credit cards, fixed deposits (FDs), self-checks, and online transactions.</p>



<p>It is alleged that large-scale fraud is being perpetrated against customers at the HDFC Bank branch in the area. Some customers have reported missing funds from their bank FDs, while others have found their accounts empty despite depositing cheques and cash. </p>



<p>Furthermore, customers have alleged fraud through fake credit cards. Victims are now approaching the authorities in the hope of recovering their money. </p>



<p>One customer stated that when he tried to withdraw money from his FD for his daughter&#8217;s wedding, he discovered that ₹5 lakh, the amount deposited in the FD, was missing.</p>

<p>One customer after another is coming forward with complaints at the Betul branch of HDFC Bank. Sources suggest that some bank employees are using customers&#8217; money for IPL betting. </p>



<p>However, these are merely allegations and have not been confirmed. The affected customers claim that when they went to the Ganj police station to file a complaint, their concerns were ignored. A complaint has now been filed with the Collector&#8217;s office, which has assured an investigation and subsequent action.</p>

<p>A security lapse during External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s visit to London has prompted a strong response from the Indian government. On Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly condemned the incident, terming it a provocative act by Khalistani supporters and extremists. The incident occurred as Jaishankar was walking towards his car after an event at Chatham House. A Khalistani supporter attempted to breach the security cordon and approach his car, while also disrespecting the Indian flag. This event has heightened diplomatic tensions between India and the UK.</p>



<p>MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in a press conference, stated, “We have seen the footage of the security lapse during the External Affairs Minister’s visit to the UK. We strongly condemn the provocative actions of this small group of extremists and separatists.” </p>



<p>He further added, “Such elements are misusing democratic freedoms, which is unacceptable.” Jaiswal urged the British government to fully discharge its diplomatic responsibilities in this matter and expressed hope for stricter action against such incidents in the future.</p>

<p>Viral videos on social media clearly show a group of Khalistani supporters gathered outside Chatham House, shouting slogans against India and the External Affairs Minister. Jaishankar was participating in a discussion inside the building at the time. As he moved towards his car after the event concluded, an individual, carrying an Indian flag, breached the barricades. He attempted to damage the flag, after which the police present at the scene apprehended him. The police subsequently pushed the protestors to the other side of the road. However, the desecration of the Indian flag sparked outrage in India.</p>

<p>External Affairs Minister Jaishankar is on a six-day visit to the UK and Ireland from 4 to 9 March. During this visit, he met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy, discussing several global issues, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This visit is considered crucial for strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the UK. However, the actions of the Khalistani supporters created an unpleasant situation during the visit.</p>

Amarnath Yatra 2025: Pilgrimage Begins on 3 July, Registration Date Announced


<p><strong>Amarnath Yatra 2025</strong>: The Amarnath Shrine Board announced the dates for the Amarnath Yatra 2025 on Wednesday. The annual pilgrimage to the holy Amarnath cave in Jammu and Kashmir will commence on 3 July 2025 and conclude on 9 August 2025, Raksha Bandhan, after a duration of 39 days. This decision was taken during a Shrine Board meeting chaired by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, who also serves as the Chairman of the Amarnath Shrine Board. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Preparations for a Smooth Pilgrimage Underway</h2>



<p>With the dates finalised, officials are now focusing on ensuring a smooth pilgrimage. The registration process for Amarnath Yatra 2025 is also expected to begin soon, offering both online and offline registration facilities. Priority is being given to security, medical assistance, and logistics to ensure a hassle-free journey for the thousands of devotees visiting the holy shrine.</p>

<p>The Amarnath Yatra is one of the most prestigious Hindu pilgrimages, attracting devotees from across the country. Pilgrims undertake a challenging journey through the Himalayan terrain to receive the blessings of the naturally formed ice Shivling inside the Amarnath cave.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When Will Registrations Begin?</h2>



<p>Last year, registrations for the Amarnath Yatra commenced on 17 April 2024. The registration process is conducted through both online and offline channels. According to a Moneycontrol report, the registration process might begin 10 days earlier, around 15 March.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Permits on a First-Come, First-Served Basis</h2>



<p>It is reported that permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Guidelines indicate that children under 13 years of age and individuals over 75 years of age are ineligible for registration. Importantly, all pilgrims must present a health certificate before commencing the Amarnath Yatra.</p>

On the occasion of International Women&#8217;s Day, Saturday, 8 March, women and girls in the state will be able to travel free of charge on Rajasthan Roadways buses. Orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday following instructions from Roadways Chairperson Shubhra Singh.</p>

<p>Women in Rajasthan should remain alert while travelling by Roadways on International Women&#8217;s Day. You may have to pay the fare after a certain distance. Here&#8217;s the situation: Rajasthan Roadways MD Purushottam Sharma stated that on the occasion of International Women&#8217;s Day, on 8 March, all women and girls travelling within the state&#8217;s borders on all Rajasthan Roadways ordinary and express buses (excluding air-conditioned and Volvo buses) will be provided free travel for one day (from 00:00 to 23:59).</p>

<p>Now, the important point to understand is that &#8216;state borders&#8217; means, for example, if a woman is travelling from Jaipur to Delhi on a Rajasthan Roadways bus, the journey will be free from Jaipur to the last bus stop within Rajasthan. However, as soon as the bus exits Rajasthan, she will have to pay for the ticket from that point to Delhi. Similarly, fares will apply to air-conditioned and Volvo buses.</p>

<p>Roadways Executive Director (Traffic) Dr Jyoti Chauhan stated that under this scheme, free travel will be provided to all women and girls in ordinary and express buses (excluding air-conditioned buses) operating within the geographical boundaries of the state of Rajasthan.</p>

<p>Cyber Crime OTP Scam: Online fraud cases are rapidly increasing in the digital age. A recent incident occurred in Lucknow, where a 14-year-old boy shared his mother&#8217;s bank account details while playing a mobile game, resulting in the theft of ₹1.5 lakh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How the Fraud Occurred</h2>

<li>A 14-year-old boy residing in Lucknow was playing a popular mobile game.<br>During the game, he received an attractive offer promising special in-game items.<br>To avail the offer, the boy was asked to enter his bank details and OTP.<br>Lured by the offer, the boy shared his mother&#8217;s bank account details and OTP.<br>Within moments, ₹1.5 lakh disappeared from the account.</li>



<li>When the mother received the message about the deduction, she immediately filed a complaint with the bank and the cyber cell. The police are now investigating the matter.</li>

<p>The victim&#8217;s mother said, “We never imagined that such a large fraud could occur through a mobile game. My son unknowingly made this mistake, but we lost our hard-earned money. Now, we hope that the cyber cell will help us.”</p>

A study published in the journal <em>Computer in Human Behavior</em> reveals that abstaining from smartphone use for just three days can impact brain chemistry. <p>The research involved 25 young adults aged 18-30 who were instructed to use their smartphones only for essential tasks for three days. </p>

<p>Balaghat. In the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, a son beat his parents with an iron rod after they told him to stop using his mobile phone. The mother died in the incident, while the father sustained serious injuries. Waraseoni SDOP Abhishek Chaudhary stated that the son attacked his parents, teacher couple Pratibha Katre (40) and Kishor Katre (45), at their Housing Board Colony residence in Sikandra village. According to the police, on Tuesday evening, the son, Satyam (20), was scolded by his parents for playing on his mobile phone. Enraged, he attacked them with an iron rod, leaving them severely injured. The mother died at the scene, while the father was critically injured and admitted to a private hospital in Gondia district of Maharashtra. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail.</p>

<p><strong>Indian Railways Group C:</strong> The Railway Board has taken a significant decision to cancel all departmental selections under Group ‘C’ category that were not completed by 4th March and whose approvals were pending. Instructions sent to the General Managers of all zones state that this decision to review these selection processes was taken in light of irregularities found in departmental selection processes in recent times. According to the Board, no new selection or examination process will be initiated until further orders.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">RRB to Conduct Examinations</h2>



<p>Simultaneously, Indian Railways has decided to entrust the responsibility of departmental promotion examinations to the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). The RRB has successfully conducted several large-scale examinations, such as for Assistant Loco Pilot, RPF SI, Constable, Junior Engineer, and Clerk positions. Examinations conducted by the RRB are considered transparent and secure; therefore, it was decided to adopt this system for departmental promotions as well.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Indian Railways Group C: Senior Railway Officials Arrested</h2>



<p>According to sources, this step has been taken following a recent paper leak incident in the Loco Pilot promotion examination in the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Rail Mandal. In this case, the CBI took action and arrested 26 people, including two senior railway officials. Successful candidates in this examination were to be promoted to the post of Chief Loco Inspector (CLI).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Group C Exam: Approximately 1.3 Million Employees in Railways</h2>



<p>Approximately 1.3 million employees work in Indian Railways, and now their departmental promotion examinations will be conducted under the supervision of the RRB to ensure fairness and transparency.</p>

<p><strong>Holi Special Trains:</strong> With the Holi festival approaching, all trains to and from Raipur station are completely full. In view of this, the railway administration has announced three Holi special trains from Gondia station to Patna. An additional third AC coach has also been added to the Durg Humsafar train.</p>



<p>South East Central Railway is providing facilities for passengers from Gondia to Chhapra and Patna Junction during the Holi festival. These Holi special trains will help control the extra rush and ensure passengers get confirmed tickets. These special trains will start operating from March 11th. This is because Holika Dahan is on March 13th and Rangotsav will be celebrated on March 14th. Before these dates, there will be a rush of people to reach their ancestral villages and cities.</p>

<p><strong>Rajasthan Horrific Accident:</strong> A tragic accident occurred in Sirohi, Rajasthan, India. A speeding car collided with a trolley in Abu Road, resulting in the death of six out of seven members of a single family. One woman sustained serious injuries. </p>



<p>The incident caused immediate chaos. Ambulance 108 and the local police arrived at the scene. The seriously injured were admitted to the government hospital. Two individuals died at the scene, and four more succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The deceased included three men, one woman, and two children. A seriously injured woman was referred to Sirohi for further treatment. All victims were residents of Jalore and were returning home after receiving medical treatment in Ahmedabad.</p>



<p>Mount Abu CO Gomararam stated that the accident occurred at around 3 am on Thursday near the Vinayak Petrol Pump in the Sadar police station area. The impact was so severe that the car was crushed under the trolley. Emergency responders had to break the car door to extract the injured. Two people died at the scene, while four others died at the Abu Road hospital. The police have taken possession of the bodies and placed them in the hospital mortuary.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">All Deceased from the Same Family</h2>



<p>According to the police, the deceased include Narayan Prajapat (58 years), son of Narsaram; his wife, Poshi Devi (55 years); their son, Dushyant (24 years); the driver, Kaluram (40 years), son of Prakash Chandrai; his son, Yashram (4 years); and Jaydeep, son of Pukhraj Prajapat. Jaydeep’s mother, Dariya Devi (35 years), wife of Pukhraj, sustained serious injuries in the accident.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Exam Pattern Similar to MPPSC</h2>



<p>Like the MPPSC, the preliminary exam will be only two hours long, with 100 questions for 100 marks. There will be no negative marking in this exam. The second stage will be the main examination. This will have two question papers, both worth 150 marks each. These will be multiple-choice questions with negative marking.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur.</strong> The Rajasthan government is reconsidering its proposal for child care leave for women employees. In the state assembly, Transport and Road Safety Minister Dr. Premchand Bairawa assured that the proposal to provide this benefit to women personnel working in the workshops of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation will be reviewed again. However, this proposal was previously returned by the finance department. Currently, only women in service positions receive this benefit, but the possibility of amending the rules for workers and workshop employees is being explored.</p>



<p>Transport and Road Safety Minister Dr. Premchand Bairawa assured the assembly on Wednesday that the proposal to grant child care leave to women personnel working in the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation workshops will be re-examined. A previously submitted proposal on this matter was returned by the finance department. He explained that under the current service rules, only women employees in service positions in the corporation are granted child care leave, similar to state government employees.</p>



<p>The Transport and Road Safety Minister was responding to supplementary questions raised by a member during question hour. He explained that due to differences in service rules, workers and workshop employees are currently not receiving child care leave. Earlier, in a written reply to the original question by MLA Geeta Barbad , the Transport and Road Safety Minister stated that eligible women personnel in the ministerial cadre employed by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation are entitled to a maximum of 730 days of child care leave during their entire service period. He placed a copy of the order issued by the corporation on the table of the House.</p>


<p>A significant issue concerning women employees has been raised in the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly). The question of whether female employees will receive child care leave is currently under review by the government, which will conduct a re-examination of the policy.</p>
