
<p>The Meteorological Department has warned people about rising temperatures. According to the department, a heatwave will sweep across the country in the coming days. The entire northern and central India will feel the intensity of the sun. Naresh Kumar, a scientist at the Meteorological Department, said that the temperature is currently normal or below normal. However, from the 9<sup>th</sup> onwards, the June heat will scorch again.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heatwave warning between 9<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> June</h2>



<p>Kumar stated that a heatwave warning has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and the National Capital Region, and western Uttar Pradesh between 9<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> June. Temperatures will reach 43 to 44 degrees Celsius. Hot winds are expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh on 9<sup>th</sup> and 10<sup>th</sup> June, and in western Rajasthan between 8<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon to reactivate in eastern and southern India</h2>



<p>According to Kumar, the monsoon may reactivate in southern India. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu in the next 3 to 4 days. Rain will continue in eastern and southern India for the next 7 days. Winds of 40 km per hour are expected in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Karnataka between 7<sup>th</sup> and 10<sup>th</sup> June, along with the possibility of rain. A warning of heavy rainfall has been issued between 11<sup>th</sup> and 13<sup>th</sup> June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weather in Eastern and Central India</h2>



<p>According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds are likely in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands between 7<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> June. Light rain is also possible. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.</p>

<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> The Ministry of Defence has threatened to replenish the stocks of long-range ammunition, artillery shells, kamikaze drones, and missiles for all three armed forces (Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force). Furthermore, a Hindustan Times report reveals that the Indian Army, during Operation Sindoor, targeted and significantly damaged 11 Pakistani airbases using a total of 19 BrahMos supersonic missiles.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">4 Fighter Jets, Airborne Early Warning Systems Destroyed</h2>



<p>According to the report, during Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army, with the help of fighter jets, surface-to-air missile batteries, and the S-400 Air Defence System, shot down four Pakistan-China manufactured fighter jets and two large aircraft (C-130J and SSB 2000 Airborne Early Warning) systems.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">2 F16s Partially Damaged</h2>



<p>The report, citing sources, suggests that two Indian F16 aircraft may have been partially damaged during the Indo-Pak military clash. Additionally, during the retaliatory action, India destroyed one Chinese LY-80 fire radar, two AN/TPQ-43 US-made automatic tracking radars, and a fire unit of the Chinese HQ-9 radar in Chaklala.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PL-15 Air-to-Air Missiles Used</h2>



<p>Pakistan used Chinese-made PL-15 air-to-air missiles during the military operation. Pakistan attempted to surprise the Indian Army by deploying two fire units of the 250 km range HQ9 air defence system from Chaklala and Malir Cantonment near Karachi, along with two other air defence systems with a 150 km range.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">India Used BrahMos and Scalp Missiles</h2>



<p>According to the report, the Indian Air Force fired 19 BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles and a similar number of French SCALP subsonic cruise missiles at Pakistani airbases. In response, Pakistan fired CM-400 AKG air-launched supersonic missiles at Indian airbases using JF-17 fighter jets, but they caused no damage.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pakistani Missiles Failed to Breach Air Defences</h2>



<p>Pakistan used Turkish-made YIHA loitering munitions during the military clash. Pakistan also fired FATAH-1 rockets against India, but the S400, Akash, and D4S anti-drone technology and air defence systems kept the Indian air defence impenetrable. The missiles were destroyed in mid-air, and the drones were ‘soft-killed’.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Crystal Maze Missiles Used Against Terrorist Targets</h2>



<p>On May 7, India used Crystal Maze missiles in action against terrorist targets. Five Crystal missiles were fired at the Markaz-e-Tayyaba headquarters of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba located in Muridke, Punjab province, Pakistan. The Markaz-e-Subhan Allah headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur was attacked by Rafale fighter jets using Scalp missiles.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur.</strong> A ‘VGU Jaipur Job Fair 2025’ was organised on Sunday, 8 January 2025, jointly by Vivekananda Global University (VGU) and CTPL.io in the capital. This job fair, held at the RIC Mansarovar campus, resulted in employment for 1664 students.</p>



<p>Over 3200 students participated in the fair, with more than 2000 registering online beforehand. Over 1200 more students registered on-site. Significantly, the job fair included students from colleges and universities across the state. Approximately 2000 students from other universities in the state participated in this job fair.</p>

<p>Saad bin Atef al-Awlaki, the head of al-Qaeda&#8217;s Yemen branch, has threatened to kill US President Donald Trump and American businessman Elon Musk. The US government has stated that Awlaki has spoken of attacks on the US and its allies.</p>

<p>Experts suggest that Awlaki, the head of al-Qaeda in Yemen, aims to establish his position in the Muslim world by releasing video messages against Israel and Western countries. Recently, the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have attacked the US-Israel alliance, gaining popularity in the Muslim world. Therefore, Awlaki seeks to challenge the Houthis&#8217; dominance by portraying himself as equally concerned about the situation in Gaza.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Organisation Possesses 4,000 Fighters</h2>



<p>United Nations experts estimate that al-Qaeda&#8217;s Yemen branch has between 3,000 and 4,000 active fighters, along with thousands more inactive members. The organisation funds itself through robbing banks and money exchange shops, arms trafficking, counterfeit currency, and ransom campaigns. They also have links with the Houthi rebels in Yemen, although the Houthis deny this. Al-Qaeda&#8217;s Yemen branch fighters have repeatedly attacked the Saudi Arabia-backed forces in Yemen.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Over 57,000 Deaths</h2>



<p>From 2023 to 20 May 2025, over 57,000 people have died in Gaza, mostly women and children. Since 2023, 1726 Israeli citizens have been killed. The Israeli army continues military operations in Gaza. 500,000 people are facing severe food insecurity.</p>

<p><strong>Weather Update:</strong> According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather across different parts of the country will vary over the next seven days. While light to heavy rainfall is likely in Northeast, South and West India due to monsoon activities, parts of Northwest India may continue to experience intense heat and heatwaves.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Monsoon to Remain Active in Northeast India</h2>



<p>Heavy rainfall is expected at several places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya between 11 and 14 June. Intense rainfall is predicted in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from 10 to 13 June. Tripura is under a warning for thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds (30-40 km/h) along with rainfall from 8 to 12 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Alert for South India</h2>



<p>Kerala, Mahe, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep are expected to experience continuous light to moderate rainfall. Heavy rainfall is possible in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh between 10 and 14 June. Very heavy rainfall is warned for Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep on 13 and 14 June. Interior Karnataka may experience 70 km/h winds on 12 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Impact on East and Central India</h2>



<p>Rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds is likely in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Strong winds (up to 70 km/h) with thunderstorms are possible in Bihar and Vidarbha on 11-12 June. Heavy rainfall is warned for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 9 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heatwave in Northwest India</h2>



<p>Light rain is possible in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh between 11 and 14 June, but before that, heatwaves and dust storms are likely in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi from 8-11 June. A severe heatwave is predicted for western Rajasthan on 9 June. A warning for hot nights has also been issued for Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on 9 and 10 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Indications of Rainfall in West India</h2>



<p>Rainfall will continue in Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra and Marathwada from 8 to 14 June. Heavy rainfall is possible at some places between 12-14 June. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in central and northwest India may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next three days, offering little relief from the intense heat.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Examination to be held in two shifts</h2>



<p>Candidates can download the detailed datesheet from the official website. The examination will commence on 12 June and conclude on 19 July. The examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the second shift will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No change in examination centres</h2>



<p>IGNOU has informed students that no changes will be permitted to the examination centre. Candidates will be allotted the same centre they selected while filling out the examination form. Therefore, carefully note the examination centre and timings mentioned on the hall ticket.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IGNOU releases exam guidelines</h2>



<p>On the day of the examination, all candidates must bring their admit card along with a valid photo identity card (such as Aadhaar card, passport, or driving licence). All candidates must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. Additionally, follow all COVID-19 guidelines.</p>

<p><strong>Shubman Gill&#8217;s ancestral village near the IND-PAK Border:</strong> A small village, Chak Kherewala, situated in Fazilka district of Punjab, lies a mere 16 kilometres from the Pakistan border. While its name may be unfamiliar to most cricket fans, this village holds a significant connection to Shubman Gill, the captain of the Indian Test team. It is, in fact, Gill&#8217;s ancestral village, where he was born on 8 September 1999. The village erupted in jubilant celebrations on 24 May when Gill was appointed captain of the Indian Test team.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Now, the village of the Test team captain</h2>



<p>Ranga Ram, the village headman, states that Shubman Gill is the pride of their village. The village will now be recognised as the home of the Indian Test team captain. He recounted, &#8220;I remember we villagers were discussing something when a child came running to inform us that Shubhu Paji had become the captain of the Indian Test team. Honestly, hearing this filled our hearts with immense pride.&#8221; In the village, Shubman is affectionately called &#8216;Shubhu Paji&#8217;.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gill&#8217;s father left the village to make him a cricketer</h2>



<p>Gill&#8217;s father, Lakhvinder Singh, was a farmer with a deep passion for cricket. His ancestors owned over 60 acres of land in the village. Lakhvinder faced a choice: either leave the village for Mohali, a city with better cricket facilities, to nurture Gill&#8217;s cricketing aspirations, or remain in the village and lead a simpler life. He chose the former and left the village 18 years ago.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Every child now dreams of following in Shubman&#8217;s footsteps</h2>



<p>Surinder Chhindi, secretary of the Fazilka Cricket Association, mentions the construction of a new stadium near Gill&#8217;s village to provide better facilities for the children. He added, &#8220;Shubman Gill&#8217;s influence is visible not only in his village but also in the surrounding areas. Every child aspires to become a cricketer like him. Previously, people discouraged children from playing cricket, but now even parents encourage their children.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eagerly awaiting their captain&#8217;s visit</h2>



<p>The villagers assert that Shubman has not forgotten his roots and enjoys spending time in his village. However, this time, it&#8217;s not Shubman but the national Test team captain who will be visiting, and they eagerly await his arrival.</p>

<p><strong>Rohit Sharma on Cheteshwar Pujara:</strong> Indian ODI captain Rohit Sharma revealed that during Mumbai team meetings in domestic cricket, he and his teammates would strategise solely on how to dismiss Cheteshwar Pujara. At the launch event of Pujara&#8217;s wife&#8217;s book, &#8216;The Diary of a Cricketer&#8217;s Wife&#8217;, in Mumbai, Rohit stated that getting the Saurashtra batsman out was crucial for their team, as Pujara often significantly impacted match outcomes.</p>

<p><strong>INS Arnala:</strong> A new chapter is set to be added to the strength of the Indian Navy. The country&#8217;s first Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (SWC) – INS Arnala – will be officially inducted into the Navy on 18 June. This historic ceremony will be held at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam, presided over by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">1490 Tonnes Weight and 77 Metres Long</h2>



<p>INS Arnala, a state-of-the-art warship measuring 77 metres in length and weighing 1490 tonnes, is powered by a diesel engine-waterjet combination. This technology makes it the Indian Navy&#8217;s largest waterjet-propelled warship. The vessel is designed for underwater surveillance, search and rescue operations, and Low Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO). Its biggest contribution will be seen in anti-submarine operations in coastal waters.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Major Success of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ Campaign</h2>



<p>INS Arnala is the first of a series of 16 indigenous Shallow Water Crafts for the Indian Navy. It has been built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, in partnership with L&amp;T Shipbuilders under a public-private partnership model. It uses over 80% indigenous material, making it a major success of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) campaign.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Meaning of the Name INS Arnala</h2>



<p>The ship is named after the historic Arnala fort located near the Vasai coast in Maharashtra, which in 1737, under the leadership of Chimaji Appa, became a symbol of maritime security. Reflecting this spirit, INS Arnala will also symbolise India&#8217;s maritime defence capabilities and strategic resolve. This warship incorporates advanced defence systems from major companies like Bharat Electronics Limited, L&amp;T, and Mahindra Defence. The project has also strengthened the domestic defence industry through over 55 MSMEs involved.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Destroyer of Enemies at Sea</h2>



<p>The commissioning of INS Arnala will not only strengthen coastal security but also empower India&#8217;s maritime presence in the Indian Ocean region. This step will prove to be a milestone in establishing India as a self-reliant power in maritime security.</p>


<p>India&#8217;s first anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft is set to join the Navy. The Navy&#8217;s new warship is named ‘INS Arnala’.</p>

<p>जिले के शाहजहांपुर हाईवे स्थित यूनाइटेड ब्रेवरी•ा कंपनी के एक श्रमिक की शुक्रवार देर रात सडक़ दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई। हादसे के बाद गुस्साए परिजनों व साथी श्रमिकों ने मृतक का शव कंपनी के गेट के सामने रखकर प्रदर्शन किया और मुआवजे की मांग की।<br />
प्रदर्शन की सूचना पाकर शाहजहांपुर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और हालात को नियंत्रित कर शव को मोर्चरी में रखवा दिया। शनिवार सुबह भी श्रमिक कंपनी में कार्य बहिष्कार कर मांग पर अड़े रहे। शाहजहांपुर थानाधिकारी मनोहरलाल मीना ने श्रमिकों से समझाइश कर कम्पनी प्रबन्धन व श्रमिकों के बीच वार्ता कराई। इस पर कम्पनी यूनियन अध्यक्ष योगेश शर्मा की मध्यस्थता में प्रबन्धन  ने मृतक के परिजनों को कम्पनी की ओर से निर्धारित सभी सुविधाओं से मिलने वाली राशि सहित 17.23 लाख रुपए देने की बात कही। साथ ही कम्पनी बेश पर मृतक के वेतनमान पर ही पत्नी हेमा को नौकरी देने की सहमति बनी। पुलिस ने बताया कि  श्रमिक कौशल कुमार पुत्र अजय कुमार, निवासी भरपुरा, जिला मिर्जापुर हाल निवासी शाहजहांपुर जो कम्पनी में ऑपरेटर पद पर कार्यरत था। जो कम्पनी से काम कर घर लौट रहा था। रास्ते में हाईवे पर अज्ञात वाहन ने उसकी बाइक को टक्कर मार दी। हादसे में श्रमिक की मौत हो गई।  शनिवार सुबह मृतक का पोस्टमार्टम करा शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया।<br />
इधर प्रदर्शन के दौरान मृतक के पिता अजय कुमार, माता राधा, पत्नी हेमा, यूनियन अध्यक्ष योगेश शर्मा, महेंद्र यादव महामंत्री, प्रमोद उपाध्यक्ष,  हनुमान, संजय, भगवान सहाय ,कैलाश सहित कंपनी के अन्य श्रमिक मौजूद रहे। </p>


जिले के शाहजहांपुर हाईवे स्थित यूनाइटेड ब्रेवरी•ा कंपनी के एक श्रमिक की शुक्रवार देर रात सडक़ दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई। हादसे के बाद गुस्साए परिजनों व साथी श्रमिकों ने मृतक का शव कंपनी के गेट के सामने रखकर प्रदर्शन किया और मुआवजे की मांग की। 
प्रदर्शन की सूचना पाकर शाहजहांपुर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और हालात को नियंत्रित कर शव को मोर्चरी में रखवा दिया। शनिवार सुबह भी श्रमिक कंपनी में कार्य बहिष्कार कर मांग पर अड़े रहे। शाहजहांपुर थानाधिकारी मनोहरलाल मीना ने श्रमिकों से समझाइश कर कम्पनी प्रबन्धन व श्रमिकों के बीच वार्ता कराई। इस पर कम्पनी यूनियन अध्यक्ष योगेश शर्मा की मध्यस्थता में प्रबन्धन  ने मृतक के परिजनों को कम्पनी की ओर से निर्धारित सभी सुविधाओं से मिलने वाली राशि सहित 17.23 लाख रुपए देने की बात कही। साथ ही कम्पनी बेश पर मृतक के वेतनमान पर ही पत्नी हेमा को नौकरी देने की सहमति बनी। पुलिस ने बताया कि  श्रमिक कौशल कुमार पुत्र अजय कुमार, निवासी भरपुरा, जिला मिर्जापुर हाल निवासी शाहजहांपुर जो कम्पनी में ऑपरेटर पद पर कार्यरत था। जो कम्पनी से काम कर घर लौट रहा था। रास्ते में हाईवे पर अज्ञात वाहन ने उसकी बाइक को टक्कर मार दी। हादसे में श्रमिक की मौत हो गई।  शनिवार सुबह मृतक का पोस्टमार्टम करा शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया।

<p>बाड़मेर.शहर के गेहूं रोड़ स्थित भारतीय आलोकायन आश्रम में रविवार को श्रद्धाजंलि कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुआ। इसमें सर्व समाज से बड़ी संख्या में लोगों ने भाग लिया। इन्होंने श्री क्षत्रिय युवक संघ के चतुर्थ संघ के प्रमुख, संरक्षक स्व. भगवानसिंह रोलसाहबसर को श्रद्धांजलि दी।</p>
