Maha Kumbh Special Trains: A Train Every Four Minutes to Prevent Crowding


<p><strong>Maha Kumbh Special Train:</strong> Amidst the rush at railway stations to reach the Mahakumbh, the railways have appealed to devotees to exercise restraint. On Monday, a team comprising ADRM Rashmi Diwakar, Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria, and DCM Navel Agrawal, provided information about the arrangements being made by the railways. The railways clarified that only Prayagraj Sangam station is closed two days before and two days after any Amrit Snan; therefore, there is no need to pay attention to any rumours. From all stations of the Bhopal railway division, Mahakumbh special trains are being operated, through which 1.25 million passengers have travelled so far.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Facility to reach the ghats</strong></h2>



<p>From all stations of the division, a train is running every 4 minutes to ensure that devotees do not have to wait to take a holy bath. At one time, a special train (Mahakumbh Special Train) carries 3780 passengers from Bhopal and nearby stations.</p>



<p>At stations like Prayagraj Junction, Chheoki, Naini, Subedarganj, Prayag, Phaphamau, Rambag, and Jhūnsī, passengers are being provided with facilities to reach the ghats for the holy bath. Passengers can use the railway helpline 139 and online facilities for more information.</p>

<p><strong>Delhi Chief Minister:</strong> After a landslide victory, the BJP is engaged in internal deliberations regarding Delhi&#8217;s new Chief Minister. Jitendra Mahajan , who won from Rohini, represents both the Punjabi community and the Vaishya community. However, his identity remains outside the Sangh Parivar. The decision regarding the CM is likely to be made only after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his foreign tour. Modi is expected back on 14 February.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Grand Swearing-in Ceremony Planned</h2>



<p>The BJP won 48 seats in the 70-member assembly, limiting AAP to 22 seats. BJP sources have stated that the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister is likely to be held after the Prime Minister returns from his foreign tour. Sources said that to mark the party&#8217;s return to power in the capital after 27 years, the BJP will organise a grand swearing-in ceremony. Chief Ministers from all NDA-ruled states are likely to be invited to the ceremony.</p>

NEET UG 2025: Bad news for students! Less time to solve paper, orders NMC, Announces NMC


<p><strong>NEET UG 2025:</strong> The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET 2025. The NEET exam will be held on 4 May. Three centres will be set up in Bhilai for the exam. The registration process will run until 7 March via the official website.</p>



<p>Last year, 11,337 students from the Durg-Bhilai division took the NEET exam. The registration fee for general category students is ₹1700. For OBC and EWS candidates, the registration fee is ₹1600. SC, ST, PwD and third gender candidates will have to pay a registration fee of ₹1000. The NTA will declare the results around 14 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Age Limit</h2>



<p>The Medical Council Committee and the NTA have set the eligibility criteria for the NEET UG exam 2025. There is no upper age limit for the NEET UG exam. However, to apply for the NEET UG 2025 exam, candidates must have completed 17 years of age by 31 December 2025. Those below this age will not be eligible for NEET UG registration.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">NEET UG 2025: Stringent Measures to Prevent Malpractice</h2>



<p>The previous NEET exam was embroiled in controversy. Following a paper leak, the case reached the Supreme Court. This year, a high-level committee has been formed to ensure transparency in the exam. Candidates are advised to regularly visit only the NTA&#8217;s official website for updates on the application process, admit cards, exam centres, and other information.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Students in Balod Retook the Exam</h2>



<p>The impact of the paper leak was also seen in Chhattisgarh. Following the revelation of the paper leak, the NEET exam was re-conducted on 23 June. 1563 candidates participated nationwide. Approximately 600 candidates took the exam in Dantewada and Balod in Chhattisgarh. Coaching centre operators in Bhilai-Durg have welcomed the introduction of the hybrid mode in NEET. Experts say that this initiative will maintain transparency among NEET candidates. They will not face problems like repeated paper cancellations or re-exams.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">NEET UG 2025: Exam Paper Format</h2>



<p>The NTA has changed the pattern for this year&#8217;s NEET UG exam. The exam duration has been reduced from 200 minutes to 180 minutes. The number of questions has also been reduced from 200 to 180. Candidates will have one minute per question. All questions are compulsory; there will be no optional questions. The exam will be conducted in pen-paper mode on a single day in a single sitting. The question paper will have 90 questions in Biology, 45 in Physics, and 45 in Chemistry.</p>

<p><strong>Kumbh Special Train:</strong> Devotees planning a pilgrimage to the Kumbh Mela for a holy dip in the Ganges River will welcome some good news. South East Central Railway has announced two additional trips for the Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur Kumbh Mela Special train, making the journey to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela significantly easier.</p>



<p>This special train will stop at Bilaspur, Raigarh, Champa, Pendra Road, Anuppur, Shahdol, and Umaria stations. Train number 08588 will depart from Visakhapatnam on 10 and 22 February, while the return journey from Gorakhpur will be on 13 and 25 February.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Special Train to Arrive in Bilaspur at 4 AM</h2>



<p>For Kumbh Mela pilgrims, the Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur Kumbh Mela special train will depart Visakhapatnam at 10.20 PM. The train will reach Raigarh at 1.55 PM, Champa at 3 PM, and Bilaspur at 4 AM the next day. It will then reach Pendra Road at 6 AM, Anuppur at 6.45 AM, Shahdol at 7.35 AM, and Umaria at 8.42 AM. After traversing these major stations in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the train will arrive in Gorakhpur at 7.30 AM on the third day.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sarnath Route Altered</h2>



<p>Due to the Kumbh Mela, the route of the Durg-Chhapra Sarnath Express (15160/15159) has been changed. This train, departing from Durg on 11 February and from Chhapra on 12 February, will now stop at Prayagraj Chhinvki station instead of Prayagraj station. Passengers should note that this train will now pass through Manikpur, Prayagraj Chhinvki, Jyonathpur, Varanasi, Jaunpur, and Aurihar. This change has been temporarily implemented considering passenger convenience and crowd management for the Kumbh Mela.</p>

<p>A 156-page plan outlines the expansion of Narmadapuram city in Madhya Pradesh. According to the plan, in the last eight years, only one road widening project at the RMS crossing has been completed. Additionally, a bus stand has been constructed in old Itarsi. Work on other planned projects has not yet commenced. There are also several obstacles in connecting the villages adjacent to the city.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Master Plan Prepared</h2>



<p>If the municipality and administration construct all the roads included in the 156-page master plan according to the specified standards, the width of the roads will increase from 12 to 24 meters. The Itarsi master plan was approved on 19 October 2016 by the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Vallabh Bhavan, Bhopal, under Section 19(1) of the MP Nagar and Gram Investment Act, 1973.</p>



<p>Following this, the information was published in the MP Gazette on 28 October 2016. Despite this, the Municipal Council (NPA) has not yet discussed it. This approved master plan has remained gathering dust in files.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">17 Villages to be Included Under the Plan</h2>



<p>According to the city expansion plan, 17 villages connected to the city are to be incorporated, covering a total investment area of 11,999 hectares. The plan includes incorporating Raisalpur, Sonasawari, Dhokheda, Sankheda, Somlawada, Ghatli, Jujharpur, Gonchitaronda, Pathrota, Bhatti, Dhurapan, Bhilakhedi, Baingania, Boratlai, Dehri, and Mehragaon into the city limits. However, opposition from the Gram Panchayats (village councils) is hindering the process.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">18-meter Wide Road Constructed…</h2>



<p>Shops were being operated by encroaching on the land of the Public Works Department (PWD) near the rest house. The Tehsildar (revenue officer) issued notices to all the encroachers, stating that according to the master plan, the road from Sanchi Parlour to Nehruganj must be 18 meters wide. Following this, the administration removed the encroachment from the road.</p>



<p>Along with this, the work of the bus stand in the old Itarsi Tractor Scheme has also been completed. A plan was also made to strengthen the monsoon drains with stones and iron wires, but this work has not been carried out.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Width to be 22 to 30 metres</h2>



<p>According to the proposed plan, the road width will be 22 metres from the station to Gandhi Ground, 12 metres from Vishwanath Talkies to Surajganj, 15 metres from Mahatma Gandhi Marg to Jaystambh, 18 metres from Ritu Raj Talkies to Nala Mohalla, 24 meters from the bridge to beyond the station, and 12 metres from the railway station to the road behind Raj Talkies. Currently, the width of all these roads is approximately half of what is planned, leading to traffic congestion. After removing the chaupati from Surajganj Road, parking for four-wheeled vehicles has been created on both sides.</p>

YouTube show controversy: Rajput community joins fight, Karni Sena plans big move


<p>Jaipur News: Following a controversy surrounding a YouTube show featuring obscenity and alleged disrespect towards Indian culture, outrage has erupted across the nation. The show involved YouTubers Saumya Raina, Ranvīr Allahanadia, Apurva Makhijā, and Ashīsh Chanchalānī, who are accused of performing obscene acts and making derogatory comments about Indian culture. The situation has taken a new turn with the Rajput community, and specifically the Karṇī Sena, preparing a strong response.</p>



<p>Karni Sena officials state that these YouTubers have misled the younger generation and made inappropriate comments targeting parents. This has caused widespread anger within the Rashtriya Karṇī Sena. The national president and national in-charge of the Rashtriya Karṇī Sena have organised a meeting to plan their response.</p>



<p>Karni Sena believes that national pride and parents are not subjects of ridicule. They demand strict action against those making such offensive comments. Vishnu Pratap Singh, spokesperson for the Rashtriya Karṇī Sena, stated that these YouTubers have insulted Indian culture and misguided the youth. He asserted that the National Karni Sena will always speak against such individuals. This incident has reignited the debate on obscenity and cultural disrespect on YouTube, with many demanding action against these YouTubers.</p>

<p><strong>RSSB Order:</strong> The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) will now impose fines on candidates who are absent from recruitment examinations. A decision was taken at a board meeting on Monday that candidates will be charged a fine of ₹750 at the time of applying for the third examination if they are absent twice.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Penalty of ₹1500 for Absence from Two Recruitment Exams</h2>



<p>A penalty of ₹1500 will be levied for not attending two recruitment examinations. Similarly, a total fine of ₹2250 will be imposed for not attending four examinations. This rule will apply to examinations held after April 1st.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Savings of over ₹100 Crore for the Government</h2>



<p>The Congress government implemented one-time registration for recruitment examinations. This allows the government to receive fees from candidates only once. On the other hand, candidates who are absent from recruitment examinations increase the cost of examinations for the government. In the case of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, an average of ₹600 is spent on each candidate. Imposing fines will save the government more than ₹100 crore.</p>

<p><strong>Excessive screen use:</strong> An international study has revealed that excessive use of screens – such as TVs, smartphones, and tablets – can negatively impact a child&#8217;s language development abilities. The study suggests that engaging children with books and using screens together with adults can improve their language skills.</p>



<p>This study was conducted by researchers from 20 Latin American countries, analysing data from 1,878 children aged between 12 and 48 months. The study focused on children&#8217;s screen use, engagement with books, language development, and other factors. It also considered the family&#8217;s economic status, parents&#8217; education, and employment status.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">TV Use Most Prevalent</h2>



<p>According to this research, published in the journal PLOS ONE, television was the most frequently used screen medium for young children, with an average viewing time exceeding one hour. This can slow down the pace of children&#8217;s language development.</p>



<p>The study also found that entertainment programs were most watched by children, while music and educational programs ranked second and third respectively. Families with weaker economic conditions showed less use of books and educational resources.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Impact on Vocabulary</h2>



<p>Children who watched excessive screen time exhibited limited vocabulary and delayed milestones in language acquisition. Conversely, children who engaged more with books or used screens with adults demonstrated better language skills. However, the study found no significant correlation between screen use and physical development.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Positive Impacts Can Be Mitigated</h2>



<p>This study confirms previous research indicating that excessive screen time can negatively impact the language development of young children. However, these effects can be somewhat mitigated if adults share screens with children and provide them with appropriate educational content.</p>



<p>Researchers recommend further in-depth studies on this topic to better understand the effects of screens on children.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Excessive Screen Time Can Affect Children&#8217;s Emotional Development</strong></h2>



<p>Next time your child displays anger, don&#8217;t necessarily blame them. A recent study suggests that excessive use of mobile phones and tablets can affect children&#8217;s emotional development. Specifically, using these devices for cartoons and other content can lead to emotional outbursts in everyday situations such as waking up, bedtime, or refusing meals.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Link Between Screen Time and Children&#8217;s Emotional Behaviour</strong></h2>



<p>A study published in the <strong><em>JAMA Pediatrics</em> journal</strong> has revealed a link between young children&#8217;s screen time and their emotional development. The research showed that children who used mobile phones and tablets at age 3.5 were more likely to experience increased anger and frustration by age 4.5. Furthermore, children who experienced anger and frustration by age 4.5 were more likely to increase their use of these devices by age 5.5. A survey of 315 parents in Nova Scotia, Canada, studied children&#8217;s tablet use and their emotional behaviour.</p>

<p><strong>Public Holidays:</strong> Employees in Madhya Pradesh will receive two holidays in February, both falling on Wednesdays. According to the Madhya Pradesh government calendar, 12 February and 26 February will be public holidays. Schools, colleges, banks, and all government offices will be closed during this period. </p>
