
<p>Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the expeditious completion of the Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur bridge project to quickly connect North Bihar with the southern part of Bhagalpur. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the progress of this bridge being constructed over the Ganga River and clearly instructed the officials to accelerate the construction work so that the bridge can be made available to the public as soon as possible.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inspection of the Bridge from Karjan via Kalyanpur to the Ganga Bank</h2>



<p>The Chief Minister inspected various parts of the bridge construction by reaching the Ganga bank via Kalyanpur from Karjan in Athmalgola block. During this time, Sandeep Pudukulkatti, Secretary of the Road Construction Department, showed him the site plan and explained that approximately 60% of the bridge&#8217;s work has been completed. The construction of this 5.5-kilometre-long greenfield bridge will establish a direct link between NH-31 (Karjan) and NH-28 (Tajpur), significantly improving connectivity between North and South Bihar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">16.2-kilometre Road from Tajpur to Chaklalashahi Already Completed</h2>



<p>Under the project, a 16.2-kilometre-long road from Tajpur to Chaklalashahi has already been completed. Meanwhile, work on the link road, ROB, and other constructions from Karjan in Patna district to the bridge is ongoing. The completion of the bridge will reduce traffic pressure on the Mahatma Gandhi Setu and Rajendra Setu, making travel smoother and saving time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Easier Access to Hospitals</h2>



<p>The Chief Minister said that the bridge will make it easier to access religious, educational, and medical institutions, and will benefit Samastipur, Begusarai, and Muzaffarpur districts. The state government has allocated ₹2875.02 crore for the completion of this project, which is being constructed by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation. The total length of the bridge is 5.51 kilometres, while the length of the link road is 45.75 kilometres. The entire corridor will be 51.26 kilometres long.</p>

<p>London Plane Crash: A plane crash similar to the Ahmedabad incident has occurred in London. On Sunday at 4 pm (local time), a business jet crashed shortly after takeoff at London&#8217;s Southend Airport. The incident caused chaos at the airport. <p>Karnataka Police rescued a Russian woman and her two children from a cave in the Gokarna area two days ago. The Russian woman&#8217;s statement during questioning surprised the Karnataka Police. She revealed that she had been living in a natural cave in the Ramteerth hills for the past 14 days. Influenced by Hinduism and spirituality, she first travelled to Goa and then to Gokarna.</p>

<p>The Russian woman was identified as Nina Kutina. Nina told the police that she is deeply attached to forests and enjoys meditating in them. She also expressed sadness about leaving India and returning to her country. Police stated that her visa expired in 2017. In accordance with regulations, the process of sending Nina and her daughters back to Russia has begun. They will be taken to Bengaluru on Sunday. Nina was found in a cave in the Ramteerth hills of Kumta taluka with her two daughters.</p>

<p>Police officer Shridhar SR, speaking to The Indian Express, said that Nina first came to India in 2016 on a one-year business visa. She was impressed by the tourism and restaurant businesses in Goa and Gokarna, but instead of returning to Russia after her visa expired on 17 April 2017, she decided to remain in India. In 2018, she obtained an exit permit and went to Nepal for a while, but soon returned to India and went into hiding in the coastal forests of Karnataka.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Avoided Hotels</h2>



<p>He said that Nina avoided staying in hotels to avoid being caught. She chose to hide in the forests to protect herself from the police. Shridhar said that while his police team was patrolling the Ramteerth hills, they noticed footprints. This led them to the cave where Nina&#8217;s daughter was playing, while Nina was asleep with her other daughter. Some Russian books were also found in the cave. The police said the woman had been living there with her two daughters for two months and had been living in hiding for about eight years.</p>

<p>Shridhar said the police persuaded Nina to leave, highlighting the risk of landslides and the presence of snakes. Nina responded that snakes are her friends and won&#8217;t harm her unless provoked. She also mentioned that snakes would often be around her without aggression when she bathed in nearby waterfalls.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Responsible for Own Expenses</h2>



<p>It is understood that illegal immigrants are responsible for arranging their own travel funds for repatriation. Therefore, Nina will have to bear her own expenses. Neither the Indian government nor the Russian government provides financial assistance for this. Nina will now have to stay in detention centres designated for deportees. He said that most governments ask illegal immigrants to arrange their own airfare.</p>

<p>A Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra will be taken out today in the Nuh district of Haryana. Before the procession, the government had shut down internet services in the area and also imposed a ban on bulk SMS services. <p>The dream of a bullet train in Rajasthan could become a reality in the next few years. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Delhi-Ahmedabad bullet train project has been prepared. Now, approval from the central government is awaited. The Delhi-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor will pass through seven districts of Rajasthan. Once the bullet train between Delhi and Ahmedabad is operational, the journey between the two cities will be reduced from 14 hours to just 3-4 hours. The Delhi-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor will be 875 kilometres long.</p>

<p>The Delhi-Ahmedabad bullet train will connect all major tourist cities. This will give a significant boost to Rajasthan&#8217;s tourism sector. Of the 875-kilometre-long train route, 657 kilometres will be in Rajasthan. The train will pass through seven districts of Rajasthan: Alwar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Dungarpur. According to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited, there is a plan to build a total of 11 stations on this route between Delhi and Ahmedabad, of which 9 will be in Rajasthan. These include Jaipur, Ajmer, Behror, Shahjahanpur, Vijayanagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Kherwara.</p>

<p>Both the general public and tourists eagerly await this train, as its launch will allow tourists arriving from Delhi or Gujarat to reach their destinations much faster. It is reported that the train will run at a speed of 350 kilometres per hour. The Delhi-Ahmedabad train route will pass through numerous tunnels, bridges, and hilly areas. It will also cross five major rivers in the country.</p>

<p>According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared for the Delhi-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. Jodhpur, a city renowned for its tourism, had long awaited high-speed rail connectivity, but it has not been included in the Ahmedabad-Delhi bullet train corridor. A high-speed test track is being prepared in the Jodhpur railway division, where bullet train trials will be conducted in the future.</p>

<p>Trials for India&#8217;s first bullet train will take place in Rajasthan. A 60-kilometre-long dedicated rail trial track, the first of its kind in the country, is being built between Gudha Salt and Thathana Mithdi under the supervision of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited. The unique feature of this track is that it will allow trials of high-speed trains (up to 200 km/h), regular passenger trains, and freight trains. Until now, India lacked a dedicated trial track. Therefore, trials of new coaches, engines, or freight wagons were conducted on regular operational tracks, often affecting normal traffic. This track is nearing completion.</p>


<p>Bullet Train in Rajasthan: The Delhi-Ahmedabad bullet train route will be 875 kilometres long. The bullet train will pass through 7 districts and 335 villages in Rajasthan. Of the total 11 stations, 9 will be located in Rajasthan.</p>

<p>Indian Railways has introduced a new passenger-friendly feature. Waiting list passengers will now be informed 8 hours in advance whether their seats have been confirmed or not. Previously, this notification was given only 4 hours prior to departure. The Railway Board has amended the rules, effective from 12 midnight on 14-15 July. This change will give waiting list ticket holders ample time to make alternative travel arrangements if their seats remain unconfirmed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Previous System</h2>



<p>Under the old system, passengers on the waiting list received seat confirmation information only four hours beforehand. Since the charts for early morning trains were prepared at midnight, passengers had to stay awake throughout the night waiting for confirmation. This new system will eliminate this inconvenience for passengers.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>CCTV Cameras to be Installed in Railway Coaches and Engines</strong></h2>



<p>CCTV cameras will be installed in passenger coaches and engines of trains. This decision follows the successful completion of a pilot project. This initiative aims to curb theft and crime on trains. The cameras will provide clear footage even at speeds of 100 km/h and in low-light conditions. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw (अश्विनी वैष्णव) has approved the installation of cameras in 74,000 coaches and 15,000 engines.</p>



<p>Each coach will be equipped with 4 dome CCTV cameras. Additionally, 2 cameras will be installed at each entrance of the coaches, and 6 cameras will be installed in each locomotive.</p>

<p>A video is going viral on social media, which is from a few minutes before the tragic incident. In the video, the late Raju can be seen driving a car at high speed; during this, the car overturns, after which crew members rush to the car and pull Raju out.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Declared Dead by Doctors</h2>



<p>According to reports, stuntman S.M. Raju experienced severe chest pain during the shoot. He was immediately taken to the Government Medical College Hospital in Nagapattinam, but doctors there declared him dead.</p>



<p>Famous stunt choreographer Silva paid tribute to Raju on Instagram. He wrote, “Our brilliant car stunt artist S.M. Raju left the world today during a scene. May God grant his soul peace. He will always be remembered by our stunt union and the entire film industry.”</p>



<p>Actor Arya and director Pa. Ranjith of the film ‘Vettuvam’ have not yet issued any statement on this incident.</p>

Rainfall is also expected in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana in South India from 13-19 July. Very heavy rainfall is possible in Kerala and coastal Karnataka from 16-18 July.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why the Heavy Rainfall?</h2>



<p>According to the IMD, the monsoon trough is active from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha to the Bay of Bengal due to a low-pressure area over north and central India and a system over the Bay of Bengal. This is leading to continuous moisture influx and intensified rainfall. Furthermore, western disturbances are also contributing to the heavy rainfall in the hill states. The IMD advises people to avoid unnecessary travel, not to stand under trees during lightning, and to follow the instructions of the local administration.</p>


<p>Rain Update: Heavy rainfall is lashing several parts of India. Many states, including Delhi and Rajasthan, have been issued heavy rain warnings. The meteorological department has issued an alert for the next five days.</p>

IMD Issues Red Alert for 12 States, Heavy Rain and Flooding Predicted for Next 7
Days


<p><strong>IMD Alert: Jaipur.</strong> Heavy rainfall is lashing several districts of Rajasthan today. In Ajmer, torrential rain has inundated colonies. Heavy rainfall is also reported from Pali. Many districts are experiencing torrential rain accompanied by strong winds. City roads have been transformed into canals. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for 25 districts.</p>

<p>The Meteorological Centre Jaipur has issued a ‘red alert’ for Jhalawar, Baran, and Kota districts. The Meteorological Department estimates that these districts may receive more than 205 mm (8 inches) of rainfall. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for Nagaur, Bhilwara, Pali, and Jodhpur districts. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall may occur in these districts within 3 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Yellow Alert for these districts</h2>



<p>A yellow alert has been issued for Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Sikar, Bundi, Baran, Kota, Jhalawar, Udaipur, Dungarpur, and Banswara districts. According to the Meteorological Department, these districts may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms within 3 hours.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cyclone at 5.6 km altitude</h2>



<p>The Meteorological Department has predicted wind speeds of 30-50 km per hour during the rainfall. The department states that a new cyclone has formed over east-central Madhya Pradesh, extending to an altitude of 5.6 kilometres. It is expected to intensify and move towards Rajasthan gradually. Therefore, even more rainfall is expected in Rajasthan in the coming days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rainfall figures in the last 24 hours</h2>



<p>Light to moderate rainfall, and heavy rain in some areas, was recorded in parts of Rajasthan in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 115.0 mm was recorded in the Manohar Thana area of Jhalawar district. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for several districts for 3 days. Therefore, the rainfall in Rajasthan may now become dangerous.</p>

<p>IMD Alert: Rajasthan braces for heavy rainfall over the next 2-3 days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an immediate warning for 25 districts in the state, with a &#8216;red alert&#8217; declared for three.</p>

<p>MP News: A major incident has been reported from the Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh. A family enjoying a picnic near the Kolar river, close to Surae, has been caught in a tragic accident. On Sunday, the parents and their two children were picnicking when a sudden flash flood swept them into the river. One child was rescued, but the search for the remaining family members is underway. The family is from Semri village in Sehore district.</p>



<p>According to initial reports, Ata Khan, a resident of Semri village in the Rehti police station area of Sehore district, went for a picnic with his wife and two children on Sunday. Suddenly, the river water level rose rapidly, and the children began to drown. In an attempt to save them, Ata Khan and his wife also entered the river. Due to the strong current, all four were swept away. One child was rescued by bystanders.</p>

<p>Other people present at the scene immediately informed the police. A police team, along with divers, arrived at the scene and began searching for the missing family members. At the time of writing, the parents and one child remain missing.</p>

<p><strong>SSC CHSL 2025:</strong> The deadline for applications for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam 2025, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), is fast approaching. Interested candidates can submit their applications online at the SSC&#8217;s official website, <a href="ssc.gov.in">ssc.gov.in</a>, until 11 PM on 18 July 2025. This year&#8217;s exam will fill a total of 3131 posts, including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SSC CHSL 2025: Important Dates</h2>



<p>SSC released the recruitment notification on 23 June 2025, and the application process commenced on the same day. The last date for online applications is 18 July, while the application fee can be paid until 19 July 2025. The facility to make corrections in the form will be available on 23 and 24 July. The Tier-1 exam will be conducted between 8 and 18 September 2025. The Tier-2 exam is expected to be held between February and March 2026.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SSC: Eligibility and Age Limit</h2>



<p>The minimum educational qualification for applying to the CHSL exam is a 12th-pass certificate. If a candidate is applying for the DEO post in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&amp;AG), then Mathematics as a subject in 12th standard is mandatory. Regarding age, the applicant must be between 18 and 27 years old as of 1 August 2025. However, age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disabilities, etc.) as per government regulations.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SSC CHSL: Salary and Application Fee</h2>



<p>Regarding salary, Pay Level 2 has been set for LDC and JSA posts, with a monthly salary of ₹19,900 to ₹63,200. Pay Levels 4 and 5 have been fixed for the DEO post, which are ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 and ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 per month, respectively. The application fee is ₹100, but no fee will be charged from female candidates, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Persons with Disabilities, and ex-servicemen.</p>


<p>SSC released the notification for this recruitment on 23 June 2025, and the application process also commenced on the same day. The last date for online applications is 18 July, while the application fee can be submitted until 19 July 2025.</p>
