
<p>In a fierce encounter in the Bhaludiggi hills of Gariaband district, Chhattisgarh, security forces have eliminated 19 Naxalites. Sporadic firing continues in the jungle. Police sources suggest the death toll may rise by evening. It is reported that the security personnel, aided by drones, located and eliminated the Naxalites one by one. Some of the killed Naxalites carried a bounty of ₹1 crore.</p>



<p>Reports indicate that senior Naxal leaders at the national and state levels had gathered in Gariaband. Seeking a safe haven amidst intensified attacks in Bastar, they had converged here. The Bhaludiggi area was considered a safe haven for Naxalites, but this operation has exposed its vulnerability. Further searches are underway, with drones deployed to locate any remaining Naxalites.</p>

<p>MP News: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has announced a prohibition on alcohol. He stated that all liquor shops in 17 religious cities will be shut down. A cabinet meeting is scheduled for Friday in the religious town of Maheshwar, where the decision on the alcohol ban is expected to be finalised.</p>



<p>On Thursday, CM Dr Mohan Yadav attended the closing ceremony of a national kabaddi tournament in Gotegaon, Narsinghpur. There, he announced: &#8220;We are going to make another decision. Through our government, we are announcing a prohibition on alcohol in 17 religious cities.&#8221;</p>



<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that during the tenures of former CMs Uma Bharti, Babulal Gaur, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, 17 cities were declared holy cities. In light of this, the Mohan government has announced the alcohol ban, which is likely to be formalised at the cabinet meeting in Maheshwar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Arrangements for Ministers&#8217; VIP Meals</h2>



<p>The Mohan cabinet meeting on Friday will be held in a dome built on the theme of Devi Ahilyabai&#8217;s fort. <p><strong>BPSC Result:</strong> The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released an important update. The result of the BPSC 70th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination has been released on bpsc.bihar.gov.in. A total of 21,581 candidates have been selected in this examination. A total of 328,990 candidates participated in this examination.</p>



<p>A total of 21,581 candidates have been successful in this examination, who will now be able to participate in the mains examination. <p><strong>IND vs ENG 1st T20 Highlights:</strong> The first match of the five-match T20 series between India and England was played on Wednesday night at Kolkata&#8217;s Eden Gardens. <p>Two groups clashed in the Pawta area of Jodhpur city, Rajasthan. The incident occurred in Lohar Colony. Both groups started throwing stones at each other. Some injuries have been reported. Police have arrived at the scene.</p>



<p>According to sources, a dispute arose between the two groups on Thursday morning over property, escalating into a stone-pelting incident. Mahamandir police station arrived at the scene. Given the seriousness of the situation, RAC (Rajasthan Armed Constabulary) and additional police forces have been deployed. Police intervened, restoring order, and several youths have been detained for breach of peace. The injured have been taken to hospital.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Assault and Attempted Strangulation of a Minor Girl</h2>



<p>Earlier, in the Jodhpur Police Commissionerate area, a dispute between neighbours led to a young man assaulting and molesting minor sisters. One girl became unwell after being strangled. She has been admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. The other party has also filed a counter-complaint of assault.</p>



<p>According to police, three minor sisters were sitting outside their house. Their mother was at a relative&#8217;s place due to a bereavement. A neighbour had a dispute with them, using abusive language towards the minors. When the girls protested, the neighbour assaulted them. The situation escalated with the neighbour&#8217;s mother and sister joining in the assault.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Minor Girl Falls Unconscious</h2>



<p>It is alleged that the young man attempted to strangle one minor girl, causing her to lose consciousness. She has been admitted to MGH (Mahatma Gandhi Hospital). He also assaulted another minor sister, injuring her near the eye. When a woman reprimanded the neighbour, the accused assaulted her as well. Subsequently, a case has been registered under charges of assault, molestation, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.</p>

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Condemns &#39;Reel&quot; Culture at MahaKumbh 2025


<p>Bageshwar Dham Baba stated that to counter and expel anti-religious forces involved in religious conversions, ‘Hanuman Chalisa Bageshwar Mandals’ will be established in neighbourhoods across the country.</p>



<p>During a short visit to Jodhpur, Rajasthan Shastri mentioned the organisation of an ‘Adivasi Janjagaran Mahasammelan’ on 19 January, which saw the participation of 22 buses from Rajasthan. Approximately 1200 families attended the convention to participate in the awakening movement. He highlighted that currently, tribal communities are the easiest target, as their connection to nature prioritises water, forest, and life above all else.</p>

<p>Commenting on the ‘reel’ phenomenon at the Maha Kumbh, Shastri expressed concern that the event is deviating from its original purpose – the promotion of Sanātana and Indian culture. While many sadhus and sanyasis attend, the focus on reels is primarily on young women. He suggested that the Maha Kumbh should be a subject of research, considering the management of 40 crore attendees, the origins and destinations of the sadhus and saints, and the significance of the Sangam.</p>

If this trend persists, Emergency could be pulled from theatres soon. Even on Wednesday, the film struggled to generate significant earnings. On the third day, &#8216;Emergency&#8217; did a roaring business of ₹4.25 crore. On the fourth day, the film earned ₹1.05 crore. On the fifth day, &#8216;Emergency&#8217; collected ₹1 crore. Now, on its sixth day of release, &#8216;Emergency&#8217; has collected a mere ₹0.87 crore, bringing the total collection to ₹13.27 crore.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kangana Ranaut&#8217;s &#8216;Emergency&#8217; on the Brink of Failure </h2>



<p>The film &#8216;Emergency&#8217; has failed to even reach ₹15 crore in six days. The story of &#8216;Emergency&#8217; features Kangana Ranaut as India&#8217;s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The title itself clarifies that the film&#8217;s narrative revolves around the period when Indira Gandhi declared an &#8216;Emergency&#8217; in India in 1975. The film&#8217;s budget was ₹60 crore, and it has not yet recouped even half of its budget.</p>

<p><strong>Venkatesh Iyer, Ranji Trophy 2024-25:</strong> The sixth round of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 has begun. In the match between Madhya Pradesh and Kerala being played at the Green Field Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, star Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer suffered a serious injury and had to be taken off the field. This injury could be a cause for concern for his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).</p>



<p>MP won the toss and elected to bat first, but their start was shaky. Madhya Pradesh had lost 4 wickets for 49 runs when Iyer came to bat, only to be injured and forced to leave the field.</p>



<p>Iyer twisted his ankle while batting. He fell to the ground, writhing in pain. He received immediate treatment from the physio on the field before being taken off. Iyer was bought by KKR for a whopping ₹23.75 crore in the IPL auction. The franchise was also considering him for the captaincy. Iyer&#8217;s injury could therefore become a major headache for the team.</p>



<p>The IPL is scheduled to begin on 23 March. Ankle injuries typically take 6 to 7 weeks to heal. While Iyer might have 6 weeks, in severe cases, recovery can take 5 to 6 months, as seen in the case of Mohammed Shami.</p>



<p>Besides Iyer, former Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane is also in the running to captain KKR. Rahane was bought by KKR at his base price of ₹1.5 crore. If Iyer is unable to recover, Rahane&#8217;s appointment as captain is almost certain.</p>


<p>During his batting innings, Iyer suffered a twisted ankle. He fell to the ground and cried out in pain. He received immediate treatment on the field from the physio, after which he had to leave the field.</p>

Two Districts in Rajasthan May Receive a Gift, Panchayat Samitis Could Increase from 21 to 30


<p>The Barmer district has received the gift of municipalities in the budget, and now it may also receive the gift of Panchayat Samitis. The relaxation of rules to create a Panchayat Samiti by combining 20 Gram Panchayats in the desert districts has increased Barmer&#8217;s hopes. The Chouhtan Panchayat Samiti in the district already has 50 Gram Panchayats. Therefore, there is a strong expectation of another Panchayat Samiti being formed in Chouhtan.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gram Panchayats to Increase</h2>



<p>Both Barmer and Balotra districts currently have 688 Gram Panchayats. Balotra has 266 and Barmer has 422 Gram Panchayats. With the increase in these Gram Panchayats, the number in each Panchayat Samiti will exceed the existing Gram Panchayats. Thus, they will surpass the minimum threshold of twenty Gram Panchayats.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">21 Panchayat Samitis</h2>



<p>Currently, there are 12 Panchayat Samitis in Barmer and nine in Balotra, totaling 21 Panchayat Samitis. All of them have twenty or more Gram Panchayats.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hope in Barmer</h2>



<p>After the formation of new Gram Panchayats, the number of Gram Panchayats in Chouhtan, Barmer Rural, Barmer, Dhorimanna, Gadrarod, and Shiv will exceed 40. Therefore, with the possibility of dividing them into two parts of 20 each, there is an expectation of new Panchayat Samitis being formed.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Balotra</h2>



<p>In the new Balotra district, there is a higher probability of Panchayat Samitis increasing in Balotra, Baytu, Gida, and Siwana.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Race to Become Pradhan</h2>



<p>Influential figures associated with politics are in favour of increasing the number of Panchayat Samitis. Their workers who have the potential to become Pradhan will be given the opportunity to contest elections for these new positions. This will benefit those involved in politics by allowing them to accommodate more people. Development work will also be carried out.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Political Calculations</h2>



<p>Now, political parties will engage in political calculations. They will focus on which Gram Panchayats, when combined with which Panchayat Samiti, will result in advantages or disadvantages. The assessment of the newly formed Panchayat Samitis will be based on this.</p>

<p>A major development has emerged involving Bollywood and television stars. Celebrated comedian Kapil Sharma, along with Rajpal Yadav, has received a threatening email, allegedly originating from Pakistan. Sugandha Mishra and Remo D&#8217;Souza have also reportedly received similar threats. Police have registered a complaint. The threats, delivered via email, target dancers and comedians, causing widespread alarm in Mumbai. This incident follows the attack on Saif Ali Khan just a week prior, raising concerns about a potential connection to Pakistan.</p>



<p>Following the life threats received by the superstars, the police have filed an FIR and launched an investigation. The sender of the emails threatened consequences if a response wasn&#8217;t received within eight hours. Preliminary investigations suggest the emails originated from Pakistan. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Police File FIR in Threat Case </h2>



<p>The emails, allegedly sent by an individual named Vishnu, stated: ‘This is not a publicity stunt. We have all your activity details. We expect an immediate response within the next 8 hours. Failure to reply will be considered a lack of seriousness on your part &#8211; Vishnu.’ Police are currently investigating, using the IP address and other technical information to trace the sender.</p>
